“Had a fabulous two weeks at Llwyn Bedw.”

Completely switched off from all the stresses and strains at home and enjoyed wall to wall sunshine as an added bonus, although the house would also almost certainly be cosy in bad weather too. I’ll definitely book again!

“We had a fantastic time at Llywn Bede, enhanced by amazing weather!”

We went with two of our grown sons, their wives and 5 and 7 year old grandchildren. Such a great position for the mountains for walking and climbing, Llyn Padarn for Paddle board, lake railway and Slate museum (unfortunately closed for refurbishment) and the stream adjacent to the cottage was great to cool off in after a hot day. Spacious and great to have the option of 2 living rooms. The owner was very quick and helpful when we had a problem. We hope to visit again.

“We loved our stay at Llwyn Bedw!”

The cottage is beautiful and in the most ideal location if you're looking for something away from anyone else. It's also much bigger than it looks on the images so we were really happy when we arrived! We took our two dogs and had zero concerns about them escaping when they were out in the garden. And if you have a dog that loves water the river running through the garden is perfect. We would definitely return if we were in the area again. “Seven of us and a dog from different parts of the country met here for a birthday celebration.”

A lovely old cottage with a stream running aside it which was perfect for a dip as the weather was amazing. Everything we needed and a great kitchen with the Aga and a big table for family meals. Good location for walking and getting around. Was perfect for what we wanted.

“Absolutely fantastic.”

8 friends celebrated the New year . This is the the most beautiful cottage with everything you will need. Cooking on the aga in perhaps the best equipped kitchen we have ever stayed at, with roaring fires in both sorting rooms , was, well just perfect. The location stunning with walks on the door step. Pre dinner drinks and a plunge in the stream to wake us all up for the evening fun became the ritual. We loved being able to speak with Ibby and Gwen and the welcome tray of goodies and milk in the fridge was just the extra added touch. Everything was perfect, comfortable and amazing . We loved the cottage and will come back in a heart beat . Thank you so much for a fantastic new year and mini break . Wish we had brought wet shoes and a swimming costume

“Its the second time this year (2025) we have stayed at Llwyn Bedw.”

That pretty much sums it up really. We fell head over heels with the place back in April and wanted to be there at Christmas, so we booked it before we left in April. It really is perfect. Ibby is just the best host - thank you Ibby once again for helping to make our Christmas one of the best. We will be back - we never really want to leave. I miss the sheep in the garden, the plunge pools in the stream that runs right through the garden, the cozy log burners, the stunning kitchen, the slate floors, the Aga - just everything.The Squirrel peering through the window - like... "Ooh, it looks warm in there - can I come in". Yeah, just perfect,

“Lovely warm and homely cottage.”

Super clean and comfortable. Very well appointed with all the kitchen equipment you could possibly need. We loved the aga, always a treat to cook on one. The location is stunning, our dog Bertie loved the stream that runs alongside the property. We had awful weather but we just enjoyed the peace and quiet and reading by the log burner or watching a movie.

“An absolutely perfect holiday.”

The cottage is in my own little version of heaven, surrounded by mountains, trees and even has a stream with plunge pools running through the garden. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and so cozy you just don't ever want to leave. The owner Ibby was great to deal with. She reached out initially to make sure we had everything we needed and let us know she was there if we had any questions. This place is so good you would want to spend Christmas there ... so we booked again for Christmas this year ... cannot wait to get back there. Thanks Ibby and family for sharing this stunning little piece of paradise with us all. On a side note - I have left the Sykes recommendation at zero, as they have no customer services and are impossible to contact. The booking should have had £50 discount - they only gave £25. Not a reflection on Llwyn Bedw at all - that was perfect. Just Sykes need a kick up the pants.

Very minor observations were that a little more outside lighting would have been helpful and before they get any worse, the potholes on the first part of the driveway up could do with a fill. We brought a second car with quite a low wheel base and just made it. Otherwise splendid. Hope to come again and will recommend.

“Beautiful property located in an amazing spot for climbing snowdon, with Stunning views.”

We had an amazing holiday, Wish we had stayed longer. There is so much to do in the local area. Property is lovely and big, Plenty of room for everybody. I would highly recommend staying at the property.It has been an amazing holiday. Only suggestion I would have, is the property needs a deep clean, And to provide Anti-allergy bedding, As the majority of the bedding had feathers and Myself and my daughter Have allergies to this. I did message the owner about this and she Offered to pay for new bedding. Luckily we found some spare bedding on 2 single beds that had no feathers.So we were okay, but very grateful to the owner for making the offer. What would definitely recommend this property and cannot wait to come back for our next say.

“Beautiful property in a beautiful place.”

The property would benefit from a good clean and some TLC. The old toilet seats need replacing. A note left on the table saying one of the two showers were not working is not good enough. The property houses 8 adults. The gardens were neglected and a lot of rubbish out of the back needs to be removed.

“Our family had a fantastic stay at Llywn bedw in April.”

Come rain or shine there was plenty to do and everyday we were amazed at the spectacular views and brilliant walks from this wonderful cottage. The cottage itself was full of character and quirkiness with good quality appliances and modern heating. There was plenty of seating options in and around the cottage, a beautiful kitchen table to sit around and spend time with the family, play cards and board games. The active river that ran along side the cottage was a fantastic bonus and set the mood peacefully for bedtime and the mornings, it was just glorious! Communication with the property hosts was 10/10, they were always happy to help and easy to contact if there were any issues. We are so pleased overall with our stay that we're coming back again this year when it's a bit warmer. We couldn't recommend Llywn bedw enough. Thank you for sharing this special home with us.

Having the river right next to the house makes it feel all the more secluded and wild and yet it's only a few minutes' drive to Llanberis. Everyone in our group of 5 adults and 4 children loved it. If it's available, book it!

“A very special place, with a very special feeling.”

It is clearly a well-loved family home. Our kids loved playing in the stream, as did we, followed by a delightful soak in the huge bath. Brilliant location for walks right from your doorstep. Adventuring around Dinorwig quarry is one of our favourites, but of course the start of Snowdon is only a 5 min drive away (Pen-y-Pass).

“We had a fabulous holiday at Llwyn Bedw.”

The cottage is in the most perfect location, walks are possible right from the door so you do not need to get in a car every day. The cottage is set back off the road unlike many other local cottages so provides an element of peace and tranquility that many places would not have. It is on the 'right' side of the mountains to receive some sun when it does decide to come out. The stream at the side of the cottage tumbles down the hillside and has some small 'pools' within which it is possible to take a cold mountain dip!! Very bracing. I'm sure the sheep wondered what all the screaching was about. The cottage itself has a comfortable family feel, the kitchen and living spaces are lovely and we very much enjoyed cooking and chatting around the table. The kitchen is very well equipped. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and would certainly love to return.

“The cottage is set among the most stunning scenery , it has all the mod cons needed TV , Washing machine , Arga so on and so on .”

You may face the odd problem with water , but a call to the owner and it will be fixed . I found the bed hard but then again I suffer from back problems . The kitchen is like walking into a time machine stunning . Outside in the garden you get fine views , plenty of wildlife , the stream distresses you just by sound . We would highly recommend this cottage .

“We really enjoyed our holiday in Llwyn Bedw and it is a lovely cottage in a great setting.”

The track to get to the cottage is very rutted and needs some maintenance, it is a farm track but the ruts were so deep in some places that the rocks in the middle of the track were scraping the underside of the cars. The bedrooms with twin beds are also more suited to children than adults so while the property could sleep 8 this is more in line with 4 adults and 4 children. The cottage is well equipped overall although the blind in the bedroom with the four poster bed did not work properly and could not be drawn down at night. The recycling was not put out by the housekeeper on the day stated by the house information so by the end of the week there was no room left. The accommodation was very comfortable, secluded and private and in a great location for walking Snowdon and the area and overall we loved it.

not only was the cottage clean and comfortable , but the facilities for rainy days was very good. garden at side of cottage was not very child friendly but beautiful adult time just watching life go by. sheep behaved and visited the cottage daily staring at our two german shepherds all behaved so well track up to cottage was not suitable for a low car especially when it rains all in all i would definitely visit again thankyou for a wondeful stay x

“Holiday was great.”

The cottage is very well equipped, and homely with lovely personal touches. The location suits us very well, a remote feel, but just a few minutes from Llanberis. We have stayed here before and so knew what it had to offer. The aga keeps the kitchen snug, and with open fires and central heating the house is very warm and cosy. We like the fast WiFi, for us that’s a real bonus. We did find it hard to keep the kitchen floor clean, as no matter how you keep the gates shut, the sheep will always find a way into the garden. Just having a yard brush and a dedicated sluicing bucket would have made it easier to keep the paths clean. As we are from a rural farming location, this didn’t bother us, but not all guests may feel the same. We are hoping to return next year, out of season again. The mountains are spectacular with snow on them.

Llwyn Bedw is a delightful stone built cottage nestling in the heart of Snowdonia, commanding the most magnificent views.

Close to the Llanberis pass up to Snowdon.

Thick stone walls, slate flooring, a splendid inglenook fireplace, AGA, beamed ceilings all add to the character and charm of this house and with full central heating it is welcoming at all times of the year! "Nestling in the stunning Llanberis Pass with huge views, ink black night skies with twinkling stars and a fabulous stone built cottage with all mod cons for a great stay." Surrounded by mountains, lakes and rivers, in an area rich in history, myth and culture this is a magical place.

From the village of Llanberis, less than a ten minute drive from the cottage, you can take a train up Snowdon, enjoy a trip on Padarn Lake, visit the slate museum and Electric Mountain and sample the many activities this area offers. Note £20 per dog charge

Ideally situated for the climbers and mountain lovers, Nant Peris is on the road between Llanberis and Capel Curig, perfectly placed for Betws y Coed and Beddgelert too! Llanberis is a mecca for mountaineers and you will find them in one of the many good pubs and cafés around the town. If climbing is not your thing then take the train up to the summit of Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales.
