“The cottage really had the wow factor!”

A lot of effort had been put into making it really special and it was beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay here, but a few instructions regarding the oven and hot tub would have been useful as well as more detail about the parking.

Thank you so much for your review, Karen — we’re delighted you enjoyed your stay at Hilltop Cottage! Unusually for Conwy, parking is available directly in front of the cottage, and we include this detail in our pre-check-in messages (via WhatsApp and email) as well as in the property information pack. The pack also contains full hot tub instructions, and the appliance manuals are kept in the large pan drawer under the cooker. Thank you for the feedback — we’ll make these easier to spot for future guests. Thanks again for booking with us, and we hope to welcome you both back in the future! Property Owner

With off-road parking for two vehicles and an EV charging point, this charming property is ideal for couples and one dutiful dog seeking a peaceful getaway, just a short walk from the historic town and its attractions.

Thoughtfully reimagined from the brickwork up, this exceptional property fuses high-end design with a deep respect for its architectural heritage, offering a refined and memorable retreat.

At the heart of the cottage lies a sophisticated open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting area—an elegantly composed living space that balances form and function.

The kitchen features premium branded appliances, including a double oven, washer-dryer, fridge-freezer, full-size dishwasher, and drinks chiller—ideal for crafting relaxed suppers or simply enjoying a quiet evening.

French limestone flooring with underfloor heating adds both comfort and texture, while the adjoining dining and sitting areas flow seamlessly across warm oak flooring, creating a coherent and stylish ambiance.

The sitting room, anchored by a log-burner set into a Welsh slate hearth, offers a graceful space for repose.

Expansive floor-to-ceiling glass doors open entirely into the private garden, dissolving the boundary between indoors and out, and inviting in natural light and fresh air.

Upstairs, the vaulted ceiling with exposed oak trusses lends architectural drama, complemented by a sculptural Sputnik chandelier that adds a hint of mid-century flair.

The engineered oak flooring continues throughout, leading to a charming window seat with far-reaching views of the distant valleyand towards the mountains beyond.

The bathroom and separate shower room are both appointed with underfloor heating; features include a distinctive copper slipper bath and twin basins by the London Basin Company—ideal for a luxurious, spa-like experience.

Craftsmanship is evident throughout, from the bespoke oak staircase to the custom joinery that enhances every room.

Outside, the secluded suntrap courtyard has been designed as a Mediterranean-inspired haven, with mature olive trees, a Kamado-style BBQ, Welsh slate prep bench, and ambient lighting that transforms the garden by night.

A hot tub and outdoor shower complete the experience—perfect for balmy evenings or brisk morning dips.

A security bond is required.

Discover the fascinating history of Conwy Castle, enjoy a show at Venue Cymru, or stop by The Smallest House in Great Britain.

About the location

CONWY

Llandudno 5 miles; Betws-y-Coed 16 miles.

Conwy, a World Heritage Site, is without doubt world famous for its historical and architectural heritage, yet at the heart of the town lies a hub of bustling activity. Alongside its ancient festivals and fairs, musical recitals, galleries and historical attractions, there is an array of specialist shops, restaurants and hotels. Built for King Edward I between 1283 and 1287, Master James of St George's design, Conwy Castle remains one of the most outstanding achievements of medieval military architecture. The distinctive, elongated shape, with its two barbicans, eight massive towers and a great bow-shaped hall was perhaps determined by the narrow rocky outcrop on which the castle stands. The town is proud of its historic traditions and celebrates its past by retaining many of these in its annual festivals, events and fairs, including the Honey fair, Seed fair and Gwledd Conwy Feast in October, along with other musical events throughout the year. Conwy is the perfect base for exploring the dramatic Snowdonia National Park, walking unspoilt sandy beaches, or taking in the wonderful scenery on your doorstep. Also within reach are the Llechwedd Slate Caverns to enjoy
