    “Just returned home after a superb week at Garreg Wen - what a comfortable and thoughtful place to stay whilst exploring Criccieth with our five year old son.”

    The bungalow is perfectly located for the town and beach, and is so quiet (except for the wonderful sounds of birds!) It is well-equipped and the owners have clearly taken on previous feedback and comments. We personally found the beds to be very comfortable. Great WiFi, heating, TV, lovely bathroom and big shower. Garden beautifully maintained and nice to have own driveway. Criccieth itself is a gem; been coming to the area for over 30 years but Criccieth really impressed us. We enjoyed ...

The property

This spacious bungalow is situated on a quiet estate in the seaside resort of Criccieth, near the sandy shores of Marine Beach.

There is a modern sense of style made apparent from the moment you step inside, a holiday home perfect for a family or group of friends looking to relax and unwind.

The hallway upon entrance is ideal for hanging up your coats and kicking off your sandy flip-flops or muddy boots.

The kitchen is well-appointed with all your culinary needs and overlooks the back garden, while the living/dining room is a lovely sociable space for gathering in the evenings and chatting about the adventures you've had so far.

It features artwork done by the owners themselves, and has patio doors leading out from the living area onto a small patio at the front with bistro table and chairs.

You will find the three bedrooms further along the hallway comprising a double, a twin and a single, allowing for flexible sleeping arrangements.

The family bathroom has walk-in shower so you can freshen up each morning and evening.

To the rear of the cottage is a private garden with outdoor furniture, where you can enjoy relaxed alfresco dining on a balmy afternoon.

You are conveniently a short distance from the castle, beach and high street of Criccieth, hosting many places to grab a bite to eat and shops to browse.

The seaside resorts of Pwllheli, Abersoch or Harlech are close by, and you can even venture inland to the Snowdonia National Park for a plethora of outdoor activities.

You won't want to miss an opportunity for a break here at Garreg Wen.

CRICCIETH

Porthmadog 5 miles; Portmeirion 8 miles; Abersoch 15 miles.

Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th-century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream. Further afield, attractions such as Portmeirion’s wonderful Italianate gardens, the Ffestiniog railway in Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, Caernarfon Castle and the beautiful beaches and renowned golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula are all within an easy drive.
