“The house was great.”

Plenty of room and everything had been done to a high standard. Also it was very clean and tidy. Enough parking for 3 cars and a large garden that the kids loved. All in all we had a lovely week in a lovely house in a lovely part of Wales. Can’t praise it enough.

“Lovely Accommodation in a nice quiet area in Criccieth, close to all local amenities, shops, beach and castle.”

Ample space for parking too. The house was very comfortable and had everything we need for a relaxing weeks holiday. TV in every room was great, and the conservatory nice to relax in at the end of the day and unwind.

“The house is in a great location for exploring Criccieth and the surrounding area.”

It is spacious and warm and has a welcoming feel. The conservatory is a bonus at this time of year (October) as you get the brightness without being outside. A few things prevent me giving a 5 star review, mainly insufficient crockery and cutlery (especially mugs) for 8 people, also no toilet paper, washing up liquid, cleaning products etc provided. These issues have all been raised by previous guests but not been addressed.

“Lovely property, spacious and comfortable.”

Owner not responsive to issues raised in visitor's book, eg. only 5 mugs but 1 cracked and 1 chipped, only 5 tea spoons/small plates; no vac or long brush; leaking shower head; no loo roll left anywhere. Problems not previously mentioned are: washbasin plug in ensuite basin not working; bath in family not draining properly; all loo roll holders very rusty. Owner didn't respond when messaged twice on two different numbers.

Plenty of space for everyone, there were five adults in our party and we all agreed it was a good base to explore the area.

“Monarfon's interior is beautiful, a very comfortable house with a lovely conservatory.”

It is extremely well equipped in general, though I'd recommend bringing some mugs as only a few are provided. The location is excellent, very convenient for Criccieth itself and its good eateries, and a great base for exploring the area. The train station is a bonus, with scenic routes down to Harlech and beyond.

The house was in a great location just a few yards from the sea and about 10 mins stroll to the shops with great places to eat In the whole we found the accommodation really comfortable the garden was ideal with both sun and shade and plenty of seating Mostly positive feedback clean spacious with all mod cons Just small improvements needed with curtains which are really needed in bedrooms as blinds still let light in so we didn't get goodnight sleeps which is a shame as bed really comfortable Also electric shower in main bathroom kept cutting out and also leaked from the shower head quite badly these are just small observations which can easily be fixed

“Property was perfect size wise for us as a family.”

Only feedback, which apparently has been fed back numerous times since 2020 according to the visitor book, is to fit curtains in bedrooms instead of venetian blinds.

Often described as the 'Pearl of Wales on the shores of Snowdonia’, now known as Eryri, this delightful seaside town is situated just 5 miles from Porthmadog. The town’s 13th-century castle perches majestically on a rocky outcrop, dominating the skyline and offering superb views of Tremadog Bay and the Eryri mountains. Watersports enthusiasts will be delighted by the two beaches, whilst walkers and bikers are spoilt for choice by the proximity of the beautiful Eryri National Park. Stroll along the beaches, watch porpoises playing in the surf, or relax in the various pubs, restaurants and tea rooms, sampling the famous Cadwalader’s ice cream.
