“Another great stay, looking forward to returning in September with friends I have recommended staying in the cottage next door.”

Great location central for all amenities. The cottage is very cosy, clean and has all the facilities we required. My only concern is if you have small children or dog the high drop by the steps in the garden is dangerous and could do with some form of barrier to prevent falling but still loved our stay and used windbreaks to prevent our little dog from falling.

The property

Glanrafon rests in the centre of the seaside town of Criccieth, offering an ideal base for a family seeking to explore the delights of both the coast and countryside of North Wales.

The interior of this dwelling, one of the oldest in Criccieth oozes character and charm, dating back further than the 17th Century with the some of the original exposed beams with low ceilings and doorways.

The open-plan living room acts as the hub of the home, where you can all gather together to cater a delicious meal or group around the gas fire to keep toasty as you catch up on your favourite TV shows.

As the evening draws to a close, venture up the staircase to catch your rest in either the double bedroom or the twin bedroom, each offering a bright colour palette and plush furnishings.

To the outside, there is a spacious garden area, where a spot of alfresco dining can be enjoyed whilst your canine companion stretches their legs.

A short stroll will bring you to a whole host of amenities, including a shop for picking up the essentials and pubs for dining out.

For days out, be sure to head down to the beach and soak up the sun, or try your hand at one of the watersports on offer.

For those feeling more adventurous, venture to the National Park and explore one of the many walking routes or brush up on the local history by visiting Harlech Castle and Caernarfon Castle.

Glanrafon is an outstanding base for exploring with your family.
