“The two main reasons for my 3 star rating are that I don't believe the property should be advertised as 4 star and that reasonable suggestions have been made for improvement over the years, which haven't been taken on board.”

Many guests had mentioned milk being provided, however there was none left for us on arrival unfortunately. In 2019, people praised it being beautifully decorated but it clearly needs a touch up now. The walls are grubby in places, some cracks have appeared and the bath in the ensuite has had an awful job done of the silicone . While the flat looks nice, it lacks 4* quality. The fittings etc feel cheap and it feels like the space hasn't been used well. A 2021 review mentioned there was no ...

A 2021 review mentioned there was no blind in smallest bedroom; this is still the case in 2026. Blinds in the other bedrooms are almost useless as they are white and let the majority of light in - bring an eye mask. The same with a privacy screen on the bathroom windows (especially the main bathroom) as they are over-looked, as well as the lack of any hooks at all in the main bathroom. Where are you supposed to dry your towels? A review from 2022 mentioned that there is no over-bath shower in the en suite and that still hasn't been remedied. There evidently was one before but it hasn't been replaced. One shower for up to 5 people is not enough. The location is great; we loved watching the waves out of the windows but the only place to sit and do this was in the kitchen. We had a real mixed bag of weather while we were there. The wind made concerning noises in the turret! While we had a nice week in Criccieth, I don't think I would return to this accommodation. Castle Fish and Chips - excellent but loooong queues Dylan's - good food but pricey Prince of Wales - Fast service and good home-made food Cadwaladers - gorgeous views over the sea in the cafe. Great Ice cream!
