    “A lovely property in a brilliant location.”

    Super close to the beach, with some stunning views across the bay and Eyriri in the distance. It is doable if you come by public transport, though the nearest shops are about a 15 min walk away. It's recommended to take a cab to/from the train station, as it's not worth the walk to/from the bus stop. We didn't receive instructions on how to find the property, which was difficult to find: we didn't know which building it was in, let alone which door to go through (there are various blocks of ...

It's recommended to take a cab to/from the train station, as it's not worth the walk to/from the bus stop. We didn't receive instructions on how to find the property, which was difficult to find: we didn't know which building it was in, let alone which door to go through (there are various blocks of flats/homes in the building). This set our stay off to a bad start, as it was stressful trying to find the place after trekking from the bay. The other issue was that there wasn't really anywhere to dry things, which is troublesome for a beach holiday! The bathroom didn't have a window or extractor fan, and so got very hot and humid. We had to leave the door open to air it out, so that's something to watch out for. The towels were new and kept shedding insane amounts of fluff on us whenever we used them. The kitchen was well equipped in terms of crockery and utensils, but it didn't have the things like tea, sugar, etc. that you don't really want to buy just for a few days. We also had to buy our own toilet roll as there wasn't enough.

Ewyn Y Don is a delightful first-floor apartment set in the popular coastal village of Trearddur Bay, on the western shore of Holy Island, Isle of Anglesey.

With beautiful sea views and the beach just a short walk away, the apartment is well suited to couples or friends looking to enjoy Anglesey’s coastline and countryside. The living/dining room provides a welcoming space to unwind after a day outdoors, with seating to relax and dine together while taking in the coastal setting.

The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals at home, whether for relaxed breakfasts or evening suppers. There are two plush double bedrooms, with tasteful decor reflecting the seaside setting, serviced by a bathroom fitted with a bath and shower over, basin, and WC.

Outside, guests can enjoy access to an enclosed communal roof terrace with furniture, providing an elevated spot to sit out and enjoy the sea air, whilst reflecting on the day's adventures.

Trearddur Bay itself offers shops, pubs, restaurants, and a sandy beach for days spent paddling among the waves, as well as watersports activities.

Close by, Holyhead provides a wider range of amenities, including its harbour, marina, leisure centre, and the Maritime Museum.

There are plenty more incredible beaches and attractions to be explored at Cemaes Bay and Rhosneigr, as well as coastal walks abundant with wildlife.

Further afield, Newborough and Beaumaris are both well worth visiting for their beaches, woodland, town, and historic castle. Ewyn Y Don is a well-located coastal apartment in Trearddur Bay, offering sea views and easy access to the Isle of Anglesey’s beaches and attractions.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
