“The accommodation is simply beautiful.”

Being on the upper floor gives you a wonderful opportunity to enjoy breathtaking views of the sea in all its beauty. It is just a few metres from the sea, with a lovely beach that is easily accessible on foot. Even at night, with the moonlight shining over the water, you can enjoy the beautiful view of the sea right from the window. It is truly a peaceful and relaxing experience. “The property is in a glorious position with views out to sea from all windows.”

It is very compact, but well organised and feels more spacious than it is. The beds were comfy, bathroom and delightful bath very welcome. The kitchen is exceedingly well-equipped and the washing machine was very useful - though we had to be a bit creative to fix up a line to dry things outside. The views from the kitchen table were lovely and as a result we made little use of the lounge. I'm not keen on leather sofas and it was difficult to sit to play games, despite using a make-shift coffee table. There was some lack of clarity about parking, which was possibly down to the workmen who came in on the first morning to conduct building work on the ground floor. They unfortunately created a lot of noise - which meant that our daughter (left in to study while we walked) couldn't work. However, this was resolved by the owner on the next day and was not a problem after that. However, it was disappointing that we were not warned about this disruption.

“Fantastic location but let down by the peeling paint in the living room and bedrooms.”

Extremely uncomfortable mattress’s. Metal single beds that are falling apart. All windows need cleaning inside and out including the Juliette balcony. Outside old broken solar lights and other rubbish is strewn about. The downstairs apartment is unoccupied and is in very poor condition with broken windows and old shed that has fallen apart and derelict. Be wary of the advertising photos as they must be years old and do not reflect the current condition of the property.

“The main thing about this property that sets it apart from others is the location .”

It’s within walking distance of all the facilities in Trearddur Bay and there is parking. ITS A GREAT LOCATION TO STAY! It’s warm and comfortable and very clean inside. The accommodation is a little dated but this is a small detail. What I would like to see is a bit of tidying up outside , it might not be your rubbish but there is a lot of stuff dumped in the parking bay and a broken down shed (the picture on the details depicts is far differently than it actually is) it all looks a mess . Even if it’s not your rubbish try and get it sorted it was a negative point for us during our stay. Having said all this the property price maybe reflects all of this. Gill please have a tidy up outside.

I would reaffirm access to the property is challenging for anyone who struggles with steps (my parents are relatively old, and father has had several knee operations. The steps and rocky slope access to the property were OK, but we had wall to wall sunshine, not slippy conditions). Out door table and chairs need replacing unstable, paint peeling.

Well looked after by owner and caretaker who lives locally. I guess access could be an issue with very young children and older people as the steps are pretty steep. Lovely welcome pack and good ideas for eating out should you wish. Kitchen however is well equipped.

The upper apartment had sensational views, it was comfortable, very clean and welcoming. It was well kitted out and we really appreciated the welcome pack. Access to the upper apartment was marred by the neighbours in the lower property by blocking parts of the path with their belongings. Their dog roamed freely and came to us when we sat outside. He was a lovely dog, but someone who is nervous about dogs, may feel anxious. We had a brilliant holiday. Thanks.

“We are just back from a lovely week here - what a fantastic location!”

We could scamper across the road to the little bay opposite for a morning dip in the sea before nipping back for showers, and Trearrdur Bay is only about 10 minutes walk away. On first arrival, the property looked a little tired on the outside, with a broken letterbox and cream paint which looks a bit shabby compared to all the white painted buildings around. However, it was a fantastic property. It's so well equipped, with plenty of little additions such as beach towels, blankets etc, a brilliantly fitted out kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. There's loads of storage for clothes and bags etc too. The neighbours downstairs (who live there), were quite noisy on Saturday and Friday evenings, playing music and talking loudly, but we didn't hear them at all the rest of the time. We'd certainly rent this property again, it was a perfect location and really easy to travel around the island and visit loads of the lovely coves and coastline. Thank you!

It was also just a short, very pleasant walk to the main area of Trearddur Bay and its eateries. The accommodation was lovely. Maritime theme tastefully applied, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. I don't think there was a speck of dust to be seen. I was completely reassured as to the hygiene and cleanliness of the property. I couldn't fault it and would definitely stay there again and recommend Ty'r Enfys Bach to anyone looking for a North Wales/Ynys Môn escape. Thank you for maintaining this lovely place to such a high standard.

“Ty'r Enfys Bach is a great apartment for being close to the sea and rock pools, the beach and lovely walks.”

There is someone living below, but you really wouldn't notice and it was no problem at all as you have complete privacy. The apartment is not large but it was exactly what we needed for a family of 4 and to be honest we didn't spend that much time there. We bought our small boat with us and there was ample parking for our car and boat. We had a lovely two weeks there, very relaxing.

The kitchen was beyond fully equipped that I have ever seen before. The bed was very comfy and the lounge very relaxing. It was fantastic to watch the sunset whilst we had dinner each evening. I would recommend The Little Rainbow House, and will probably book again at a later date.

A small cove was 2-5 minutes walk away, where we swam when the sea was in and explored rock pools when it was out. There were some beautiful walks with breathtaking views and good local shops. The cottage was so lovely and welcoming. We loved the décor and the amount of space in the rooms. We wished we had booked 2 weeks because there was so much to see and do - there's always next year!

The property

Occupying the first floor of a detached property, this pleasant self-catering seaside apartment is located in an elevated position and enjoys fantastic views over the sea extending towards the countryside and Holyhead Mountain beyond.

The apartment offers comfortable, clean and practical accommodation, and is nicely styled to provide a seaside base in a wonderful coastal location.

The sitting room is light and airy, with patio doors opening to a Juliet balcony.

The kitchen is well-equipped and modern with a dining area for that leisurely breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.

The bedrooms are comfortable, and both boast views of the sea out beyond the neighbouring property.

Due to the nature of the rock the property is built on, the garden has many uneven levels, with a small patio area with table and chairs at the uppermost level, and a further sitting area with furniture lower down.

This self-catering apartment is ideal as a base for exploring the area all year round.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
