“A great location near the town, shops and cafés, and a superb view of the estuary from the lounge patio doors, which also lead to a small balcony where you can sit and take it all in.”

Nice to watch the heritage steam trains go by as well, as the station is just around the corner. The property is compact, but fine for 2. Very well equipped kitchen and bathroom, especially the fiddly things like tea towels and washing up liquid, and cleaning products. Nice shower room, good strong shower. Living room is a bit tired, sofa a bit uncomfortable, faded rug, and a stained carpet. It just needs a little rejuvenation. The only access is up steep concrete steps, which would be a ...

Living room is a bit tired, sofa a bit uncomfortable, faded rug, and a stained carpet. It just needs a little rejuvenation. The only access is up steep concrete steps, which would be a little challenging to those with limited mobility. Not a problem for us, but worth considering before booking. Overall very good, but a little TLC would make it excellent.

“Location. Less than a two-minute walk to the Porthmadog Steam Trains and the Train Station.”

You can see the Trains from the apartment balcony. If you love steam trains this is the place for you. The view across the estuary also from the balcony and the lounge area is breathtaking. Just watching the tides going in and out, with wading birds on the shoreline would be a bird watchers paradise. The town itself is just beyond the Train Station, with coffee shops and restaurants. The Harbour which you walk past on the way to the Train Station has places to sit and eat and attached to the Train Station is Spooner’s restaurant everything from just a cuppa to a full meal. We ate at the Yacht Club Restaurant also within a 5-minute walk. Apartment. It’s compact and comfortable, it could have done with airing prior to or visit, but as we had the doors to the balcony opened all the time, this aired the apartment out. The apartment is on the top floor accessible by steps, this was not really an issue for us, but a bonus was that it enhanced the view as we had a higher vantage point. Bathroom and kitchen areas were clean, and everything was available. If there was a negative aspect it would be the carpets, in short, they need replacing in the lounge and hallway, as they are threadbare in a number of places but otherwise, as a base for what we wanted to do it was perfect.

“It would have been nice to be able to change towels and linen for the second week of our stay.”

A clothes rack for drying e.g. swimming stuff would have been useful. Carpet is very worn and not in keeping with the rest of the flat.

“The outside chairs for the balcony are unsuitable.”

One will not assemble into a chair at all: the other will not turn to face outwards. Milk and bread left for us: great! But the fridge was not turned on? Unhelpful when we had brought chilled items for our meal

“This cosy apartment is fabulously situated, with its constantly changing vistas as the tide rises and falls and with the friendly chuffing of steam trains.”

Lovely kitchen, bedroom and bathroom but the lounge needs an upgrade. As the rear (inc. bedroom window) was covered in scaffolding I guess this is happening soon? A 'heads up' about this would have been appreciated. But it was well equipped and I had a wonderful week there.

“The shower unit in the bathroom needs some attention.”

Took me some time to work how to adjust the temperature without getting scalded. Otherwise the view is superb and the flat had everything we needed. Thanks for leaving some milk and biscuits when we arrived,

“28C is a third floor apartment with a view over the estuary and has a balcony to sit out in good weather.”

Its small and compact ideal for two people. Unfortunately their was no DVD player as advertised and the heated towel rail in the shower room was not heated no switch visible not ideal in January.. The hob and oven left a lot to be desired no instructions. 30 steps outside to the front door, It could have been better, But we still managed to enjoy our stay.

“Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely well equipped, comfortable.”

Clean apartment, with absolutely fabulous views to die for. All amenities close by within walking distance, eg- cafes , restaurants and shops. The Highland train rides were a special treat seeing all the different steam engines.Would highly recommend . Loved it so much we have booked again for next year.

“Great little apartment with everything you need.”

Bed a bit small for my liking but comfy enough. Fab balcony with great views and good comfy chairs. 5 mins walk to pubs serving good food and lots of shops. Also an easy walk to the fantastic beaches of Borth-y-gest.
