We stayed here for 2 nights and it had everything we needed.

Annie was on hand to answer any questions and was lovely. Having the bedrooms at separate ends of the property worked really well. Enough space to relax after a long day out and comfortable beds.

We had a lovely time at Dyffryn Bach this week.

The owner, Anna, was friendly and accommodating. The property was comfortable and clean, albeit a little bit tired in places, and had all the facilities and equipment we needed, and very good value.

This is our second visit to Dyffryn Bach.

We have found it a lovely little cottage. Not perfect but great for a few days away with our dogs. The owner is very welcoming and the property has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The TV signal is a bit erratic but living in the countryside ourselves we know that this is to be expected! We will probably be back next year as there are still many places left to visit in the area.

Phoned as requested the night before we went to be told TV not working.

My hubby had wanted to watch the football. Cottage is very tired with black mould in one bedroom and bathroom. Damp problem along the hallway plaster blown. The toilet seat underside had yellow stains, under sink was dirty I cleaned this. I went to use the grill and the grill pan was disgusting. The outside view is of a run down building with a broken window. Plus side clean sheets bed was comfy, nice view from other windows over fields and sheep. Good location to visit North Wales.

Nice, quiet, spacious property in a good location for exploring the area.

The accommodation was comfortable with everything we needed for a few days of peace and relaxation. The kitchen was well equipped for preparing and making meals with a nice sun room with dining table to sit and enjoy the garden while eating. Situated next to a garage with well stocked shop was very useful for last minute forgotten purchases.

Had an enjoyable week in Dyffryn Bach in February.

Despite other reviews, didn't notice any damp, heating was on, property was warm, and the log burner in the lounge gave an added little comfy boost. It's not perfect, there are a couple of places that need a little attention, lick of paint, but the main living areas are neat and tidy. Handy little kitchen for food with everything you need. Owner did apologise in advance for yappy dogs, but I didn't notice them all week. Handy little shop that's well stocked at the petrol station. Not much else in walking distance, so just be aware you'll need to drive, but Lake Bala is just fifteen minutes down the road, Llangollen is about half an hour, and you can even make it up to Llandudno or Bangor in about an hour. Didn't use the conservatory much at that time of year, but imagine it being very nice when the weather is better.

The property was warm and generally comfortable, if a little shabby in places.

The conservatory was the highlight. The shower head needed attention, the handset for the TV and DVD player didn't seem to be working, some crockery was chipped and stained and there seemed to be no instructions for the fire. The property was situated on a busy road, with no pavements and no walks directly accessible. Disappointing for a Sykes property.

We had a lovely weekend stay at Dyffryn Bach with our dogs and really enjoyed using it as a base to explore North Wales.

The cottage has a cosy, homely feel and immediately feels welcoming. The beds were very comfortable, the living room is snug (especially with the woodburning stove lit), and the conservatory is a real highlight, a peaceful spot to sit with a morning coffee and enjoy the countryside views. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The location worked really well for us. It’s perfectly placed for exploring Snowdonia, Bala and Llangollen, and having the petrol station/shop next door was surprisingly handy for picking up essentials. While the road is quite busy, we didn’t find it disruptive, and we were happy to drive out to nearby walking spots with the dogs. It’s genuinely dog friendly, which we really appreciated. The enclosed garden gave us peace of mind, and it was great to be able to let the dogs out safely. Anni was friendly and helpful, and it’s clear she wants guests to enjoy their stay. Overall, Dyffryn Bach is a comfortable, characterful cottage in a great location for exploring this beautiful part of Wales. We had a relaxing break and made the most of our time there.

We had a very comfortable stay over Christmas.

It’s old welsh stone bungalow, the two of us with our two dogs really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. Garage next door, Rhug farm shop nearby lots of lovely walks from bungalow or a short drive away

The cottage is to the rear of the owner's house and the garden is shared, but at no time did we feel spied on or troubled by the owner or her dogs.

The owner is very helpful and my sister and I both enjoyed our time there and would be happy to use the place again.

We've just returned from 4 lovely nights stay at this property.

The owner was very pleasant and accomodating and we had no issues with her dogs at all. We found the cottage very well equiped and warm and cosy. Sticks were available if we wanted to light the fire in the living room. There was some slight damp, which the owner has tried to address, but it's a solid stone building, so difficult to prevent. We simply opened the window a little to allow the air to move. We loved it and might go back.

Mould in bathroom still present.

Damp smell throughout the property. Hot water only from electric shower. WiFi with no internet access. Fireplace starter pack not present. Charming not disturbing owner.

Property was damp throughout the worst being in the back bedroom it was that bad I tried sleeping on the sofa 4 a couple of nights which wasn't good came home on the Friday instead of Saturday should of come home a lot earlier but didn't want to spoil it for my son and grandson although my son was complaining of not feeling too well and having a sore throat their bedroom was not as bad as mine I do have photos of how bad the back bedroom is

Stay away mould in bathroom that was reported in 2022 still nothing been done the garden was stated shared with Anni 2 dogs but Sykes forgot to mention she also looks after other people’s dogs so we had her 4 in garden they constantly jump up at back doors barking scaring my dog that lived under the bed all week due to this .

Outside the front was full of rubbish old sinks pallets smashed up a total mess that was also reported in 2023 and not been moved more worth a 1 star then a 3 star don’t think Sykes are bothered as long as money coming in

I had a lovely stay here over the bank holiday weekend.

It was safe and secure and it felt like home from home. Great location in general and the owner was really friendly too! All round great place to stay.

We just returned home from a lovely stay at Dyffryn Bach.

The beds were comfortable and the house really snug and warm. The fire was easy to use. We brought extra wood and coal which are needed if you want to keep it going. The kitchen has everything you could need. We had torrential rain whilst there and the walls are made of stone so you could see where the walls had absorbed the water and it left the building slightly damp near one end of the property. But the owner is doing everything possible to stop this with dehumidifier and cleaning etc. This is a dog friendly house with blankets to protect the furniture that were clean for us to use. The conservatory and garden would have been fab if it was warmer weather but staying in January was a bit wasted on us but was great to be able to let the dog out with no worries of her getting out as it’s a stone wall all round. Only down side was that we had to drive everywhere. But there’s a shop next door (Texaco) so didn’t matter to us. Bala was about a 15min drive with lots of pubs for meals etc.

Enjoyed our stay despite the unsettled weather, the bungalow was very clean and comfortable.

Wi fi was fast and was able to stream films on the smart tv but could not get free view channels through sky. Some error with sky card. Was very quiet and the near by petrol station sold very cheap fuel and the shop was handy for milk etc.Overhaul would highly recommend. Thanks to the owner.

The property is very comfortable clean and suitable.

There was three adults and our dog

On arrival to the property there was rubbish scattered including an old sink and a tin filled with cigarette ends at the front door, they remained there throughout our stay.

The security light doesn't come on until you are upon this so is a hazard as well as unsightly. On entering the property there was a smell of damp so didnt give a good first impression. The sofas also felt damp and had an animal smell to them so not very inviting. The kitchen was basic but clean so no issues there although the bathroom had damp and needs attention along with some other damp patches and peeling paint throughout the property. Although I have dogs I do feel the shared garden is an issue as when the owners dogs come out they bark and try to enter the property scaring my dog as well as there mess not being picked up which I picked up so my children didn't walk through it. I also agree with previous reviews about the owner hovering around and making you feel a little uncomfortable. On the last morning there she was in the garden kicking apples and stomping the grass and approaching the windows of the bedroom my children were sleeping in. She could possibly have been looking for any dog mess her dogs had left but this felt uncomfortable for us sat inside and for that reason should probably have seperate outdoor spaces. I also feel the lack of curtains/nets in the kitchen and living room make you feel like your being watched although im sure this isn't the case. Overall I feel that the cottage could have a lot of potential if it was upgraded and maintained/cleaned to a higher standard and the owner enabled guests to have more privacy during their stay. We wouldn't stay there again or recommend to others based on what I have said but would hope the owner will take our thoughts/experience on board and we wish her all the best for her business in the future

Nice quiet base to explore Wales no complaints at all

do not book this cottage , owner is strange and has weird opinions on labels etc just dont care , has 3 annoying little dogs what poo everywere and isnt cleaned , bark from am to pm continuous also dont recommend taking your own dogs as wont settle and their annoyance wouldnt be safe for your own , you have no privacy as owner hovers around cottage or stands and stares through windows , she made me feel uncomftable with her none label comments when i expressed i was adhd and autistic , basic scart lead tv!

freeview , dvd player dodgy , kitchen hasnt alot of equiptment needed , bath water comes out yellow dont recommend drinking it neither , cant enjoy the conservatory as dogs will none stop bark through window also dogs will run in if door left open , shes just rude dont care but takes your money it isnt worth , sykes cottages do not help you either they just call owner and close the case , again just taking your money and dont care ! so yeah if have kids or dogs dont go here garden full of poo and dogs will be irritated , will never book here again

This property is poorly maintained, it’s certainly not as described, l cleaned up piles of dog mess that the owner completely ignored, we only stayed 2 nights, the owner is in complete denial, I complained and she decided that she would give a £50 refund, a complete joke but I’m not surprised, this is not the first complaint she has had, it’s been reported before but no work has been done, Sykes did not do a follow up inspection to check any work she had said she would do, so who is responsible for the star rating?

be aware they will not refund a booking fee even on a property that has received previous complaints, there is no way it’s a 3 star, I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone, I’m not expecting a lot but I do expect clean! The property is on an extremely busy road and although it didn’t cause us a problem as we spent all day away from the property, there is no where to walk a dog other than the garden, it’s got no kerb appeal at all. Very disappointing response from both the owner and the company as in my opinion as a licensing officer, it wasn’t worth any more that £50 a night at the most, there was a dog barking, not the owner’s, this was up until 12.30 at night and started again at 06.30, I can only assume it was from the properties just along the road, lights from the constant flow of traffic as also disturbing as the curtains don’t stop the headlights from lighting up the room. I could go on but to be honest we would never return or recommend, I’m sure the owner will have some excuse but don’t believe a word of it.

The cottage like last year was very clean on our arrival. I cleaned the cottage before we left, we bought and left some bin bags in the cottage for others to use. Will definitely be back again.

The owner, who lives next to the cottage, was very helpful and informative.

I had a problem with my car and she helped to sort it out. The Cottage was comfortable and cozy. Nice to see bulls in the field next door plus 2 birds feeding their babies in the nesting box next to my bedroom window. The property is on the main road but behind the garage is an area to quickly walk your dog. I didn't find being next to the main road noisy. It's very easy to visit many sites - Anglesey, Llandudno, Conwy, Ruthin etc and right by Snowdonia National park.

It is a very spacious cottage in a nice area to explore local towns ,villages etc.

but walking from the cottage was difficult . It is on a very busy road off a petrol station forecourt there are no pavements so walking the dog from the cottage was unsafe . It has a lovely garden shared with the owner and her dogs .Anni the owner was pleasant and helpful and the cottage was generally well equipped .

This is a well resourced cottage, especially the kitchen.

Everything was really clean and tidy. The smell of damp is immediate unfortunately but with a few well placed diffusers, it could be less obvious. It sleeps 4 but as I was on my own I used the bedroom furthest from the road. It's on a busy road and I would imagine in the summer, especially if you wanted to open some windows, it would be noisy. It's great to have the garden but the owner needs to do better picking up after her own dogs. I wouldn't want to sit out there. Anni was available and helpful and the cottage proved to be a good base for me to explore some of the area.

A comfortable cottage in the garden of the owner’s home.

A nice small garden. Directions provided told us to look for the Glassblobbery but this doesn’t exist. The service station has a well equipped shop. For dog owners there are no convenient walks close by and the road doesn’t have pavements so it’s necessary to drive away from the property to exercise the dogs. Despite the weather we enjoyed our stay.

Stunning location.

Anni and her dogs were very welcoming. It's very kind of Anni and her dogs to share the garden with visiting dogs. The cottage was spotless, and the bedding and towels smelt lovely. I would definitely love to stay again, sometime.

It was a lovely place to stay as a base to explore the surrounding area, the host was lovely and really welcoming.

the property needs urgent attention mould in the bathroom and on plug sockets.

We did enjoy our stay and exploring the area however the cottage wasn't very clean there was dust and a few mold spots on the walls dog poo in the garden, glass out the front of the floor, I seem to have been bitten lots, the owner was lovely but her dogs just kepted yapping and jumping up at the door which meant our dog wouldn't settle, the property is on a main road so not dog friendly, photos are missleading of the property and garden it didn't show all the smashed buildings around, we had to clean the cutlery and plates as these still had food on them from the last people, general maintenance is needed on this property I understand that it's old but this is why it needs maintaining a lot not worth the money we paid.

We loved the wood burning stove and it being a single storey property.

Unfortunately the shower was broken, but there was plenty of hot water and the property was warm. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We had a warm welcome from the host.

I am being very detailed in my description to help.

Lovely woodstove which we used some of the evenings which was cosy. The house was adequately equipped, with tea and coffee and oil.... Which was handy. We thought there was going to be a washing machine, which unfortunately there wasn't. This would have been a great help. Lovely light conservatory, but quite dusty. We didn't use dishwasher as there was plenty of hot water. Loved the sink. There were no cloths though to wipe surfaces although there was a nice new sponge. No bin bags to be able to replace, so we weren't able to get rid of the rubbish. The place was very musty and hadn't been aired out, resulting in the air quality being very poor and damp. This was a concern as I have damaged lungs from radiotherapy. It was cold when we arrived, as the lady was away until the Monday evening. (didn't see anyone till Friday morning when we were going out even though she said she would call in on the Tuesday) The heating dials on the radiators were grimy, I cleaned a few. I phoned and we were directed to search the Internet to find out the instructions for the heating. My concern is because I don't feel it was cleaned properly and especially in line with covid instructions. The TV system was old. You couldn't use the TV and dvd player at the same time, you had to change the scart over, it was very basic and difficult to find stations as a lot were unobtainable. The carpets need a deep clean which will help to clean the air and dampness. The bath hadn't been cleaned as there was soap scum which I discovered even after rinsing the bath around before having a bath. These are basic cleaning practices, especially when different people are using the property, and especially in line with covid. The tap system was very nice, but the shower cord would not pull on to switch on the shower, so we were unable to use the shower. In the bathroom, the floor edge/skirting by the bath was in need of a good scrub. It was grimy behind the door. The shower screen seal was in desperate need of being bleached, along with the plastic cover on the window shelf. It was very comfortable and spacious. The part in front of the house that we had to pass to get to the cottage was untidy with pallets and wood lying around. Also it was slated crazy paving but lots had come up and were lying around too, it didn't feel safe to walk on. These are my observations, as cleaning has been my profession. Cottage was very cosy and comfortable, it had everything I needed with the exception of the shower that the owner had told me someone had broken thinking it was the light switch pull cord.

There us a hand held shower but can be a bit awkward, having said that, the bath is a lovely deep tub so I didn’t mind at all. I would suggest that you open windows in the kitchen when cooking so as not to set off smoke alarms. Log burner gives off loads of heat and makes the cottage so cozy at night- you’ll need to buy logs from the garage but they were only £3.98 per net. Garage is well stocked with everyday items too. The owner, is a lovely lady. Nothing is too much trouble. All in all I had a lovely stay and would recommend it

Liked the cottage but damp was an issue and the electric shower and central heating wasn’t working.

Has the potential if the above are fixed to be a great cottage.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of Wales.

Pretty garden shared with the owner. Annie was an amazing host. Lots of discussions over a glass of wine. Very easy to get around,as just off A5. Will definitely be back.

Second time we have been here this year this is a great place to be based for touring Snowdonia and mid Wales had there are two walk from the cottage over the hills so for one day you don't have to leave the village it is a great place for us having two dogs as well we had a great time even though the weather was it and miss already booked for February

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of this property was of a very poor standard.

Cobwebs in every corner, mouldy bath seal, very very dusty and dog hair everywhere. Couldn't use the communal garden either as it was covered in dog poo and we have a toddler. Would suggest not allowing the dogs to yap at customers who are sitting in the conservatory eating either. My husband and I both agreed, with a better cleaner and perhaps a separate space for the dogs, this would be a lovely property. Luckily, we're used to camping so didn't bother us too much, only that it wasn't clean enough for our daughter who touches everything!

The cottage itself is lovely a little bit run down and needs abit of tlc.

Issue with woodlice in the bathroom. Garden is shared with the owner and covered in dog muck. We cleaned our own of course but it's just full of dog muck. Our smallest was playing on the grass by the flowers- owner then picked up dog muck on a shovel and disposed of it in the flowers in the garden. Privacy is very limited unfortunately. However area is outstanding so much to do and keep yourselves busy. Definitely not someone where I could leave my children to play out or have a relax in the garden without feeling watched.

Lovely accommodation and an ideal base for touring the area.

Excellent base for travelling round north Wales.

Very well equipped. Two very spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Quiet location with fantastic views.

Spent a cosy enjoyable stay at the end of February while storms were raging outside - good heating inside plus log burner.

Good location base for exploring this area of Wales - handy cafe and mini- supermarket at the garage. If you go for a walk - go right and into Glan- Yr- Afon vilage - then you can walk for miles up into the hills. I wouldn’t recommend walking the other way ( although I did) as there is no footpath alongside the main road - only grass verges every now and then!

Anni is a lovely lady, we a bad start with our car breaking down before we left for our holiday so we used our son's car phone Anni to let her know we would not arrive until after 9pm no problem Anni said, met Anni the first morning in the garden with our two dogs.

Lovely cottage dog friendly just what we wanted and the cottage is very comfortable for this time of the year with log burner very tidy just making you feel at home great for touring Snowdonia and just before we left we booked for next February.

Anni was very helpful and friendly. Well situated to explore Snowdonia and surrounding area as well as having a petrol station , convenience store and an excellent cafe nearby.

Anni was extremely attentive, warm and friendly but not intrusive.

Although the boiler wasn’t working and Anni had been let down by the repair guy, she had supplied totally adequate fan heaters so that our stay was not impacted at all. Previous guests had mentioned bugs and, yes, we saw a couple of spiders which I relocated outside, but in such a rural setting I would be worried if there were none! The cottage and it’s setting we’re excellent and perfect for us and our furry children. Thank you Anni.

Heating and hot water not working but we worked round it.

The owner did get an engineer in but needed a new part. Dishwasher for the pots, little heater from the bedroom Inn the living room for a couple of hours did the job. Brilliant shower though. So all OK.

The property is damp,infested with moths,woodlice,biting insects.

The garden is scruffy & neglected resembling a scrapyard. The garden is a dog's toilet, shared with two yapping intrusive dogs.It would be better not to let children play in the garden due to the dog mess and possible infections.These dogs will come into the property if you leave the door open and then bark at you.The property reeks of dog, especially that purple throw.There are damp and flaky patches,most with black mould.Description of property not as advertised,not even laminate flooring just cheap lino.Insects & moths squashed on walls & curtains.Dead mosquito-type insects in the damp bed,My husband had bites on his legs needing antibiotics.Our clothes were damp in the wardrobe.No washing machine which is a must in a property like this.Our clothes became damp and musty.The skirting boards are thick with dust. I brought fly spray, air freshener, diffusers, bleach,sterilising fluid, damp-absorbing gel but to no avail. If you are asthmatic The carpet in one of the bedrooms is dirty, stained and infested with wood lice.DO NOT book this property which is in serious need of an intensive deep-clean.We left early as continuous complaints to Sykes Cottages were unresolved except for one which defended the owner.At one point we were greeted back to the cottage by two growling/yapping dogs, whilst the owner carried on chatting to a neighbour aware of the noise but doing nothing.Once I found the insects in the bed I had to leave I couldn't bear another night here. I would have more to say but I am running out of allotted space.

Our family of four, 2 adults, a 15 year old and 16 year old, had a really lovely stay.

We had no signal for the TV but to be honest it was a blessing as it meant that we spent more time together in the evenings playing games ….. Monopoly …. Cards. Anni was lovely, would greet us each morning with a happy good morning and checking that we where happy and content with the cottage, which we absolutely was. Would love to go back some day and would definitely recommend this place

The owner Anni, while nice was too intrusive and her dogs continually entered the property and continually barked at my dog, was hoping for a relaxing stay and love to sit outdoors, but this wasn’t possible at this property, great location but would not stay there again

Anni very friendly came to chat but also gave us our privacy, it was home from home, previous comments about her dogs barking yes doing there job BUT mine barked loudest n longest (she is a guarding dog and protecting us all from sheep and birds )it was lovely to sit out at night in Annis lovely garden and enjoy the fresh air , will definitely book again if staying in same area

Sadly the accomidation was not clean I have photos, the fridge freezer had rust spots about 9 size of a penny the bathroom was dirty the out side seating was broke with nails and screws sticking out hand has been broken for a long time here dogs where left to run about hand where scratching the front glass door the dogs ran into the house twice barking at us while we where eating very disappointed there was bits of food waste in the dish washer the wine glasses where dirty we hat to wash all the plates and glasses

Walked in without permission Not hot water or heating Dogs barking at our door all the time No internet as she said the government have turned it off so we can't see about Corona No mask worn as she didn't believe In it

We found the property well furnished and very comfortable.

The facilities were good. It was closer to the owner's house than we thought but the owner was very friendly and gave us information about the area. The only thing we did find out was that if you wanted to use the bus you would need to catch it at 7.15 am but not sure if there was a return journey! We weren't far from Bala which we found to be very busy but had a lot of interesting shops. All in all we had a very enjoyable holiday even when it rained!

Everything was perfect and our little old dog had a nice garden to play in, Anni was a lovely lady and was always there if needed already booked for another holiday.

Lovely time had by all , cottage comfortable and warm and well equipped.

Anni and dogs were delightful. Apart from weather being wet we managed to get out and about. Plenty of wildlife to see from windows and handy to have a garage next door.

After reading some bad reports about the holiday let we where very concerned about what we would encounter.

But we needn't have been worried every thing was very good very clean, beds were fantastically soft and the conservatory was good to relax and have our meals plenty of seating and bright. The only problem we had was with the tv the scart lead kept coming loose and we kept losing the sound and picture but Anni the owner is now aware of this and will rectify it but that apart we had a wonderful holiday thank you Anni for the opportunity to hire it, our whippet and our two friend's had a wonderful time. I would rate this accommodation 9.5 out of 10.

The cottage was very comfy and felt homely, it had everything we needed but a new combi boiler would be more efficient and a benefit.

Yes it's in the owners garden (stated in description) so is shared by her 2 little dogs and yes they barked a bit but it is their garden and they are only doing their job, they were fine once you introduced yourself to them. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you

We had a lovely stay and a glass of wine with the owner she was really nice.

The dogs were barking all the time, and attacked are dog, there was black melldew all over the place, the owner house was on top of you, you couldn't have the door open, if you did her dogs would run in barking at you,we had to keep the door shut and the dog had to stay in, l wouldn't recommend it to anyone, right next to a main road, what else can l say, oh yes some money back would be great

the bungalow was very comfy and clean but the reason we booked was for the garden with the pet friendly site ie garden however immediatley on arrival this was spoilt by the owners two pomeranian dogs.

our dog a whippet is very friendly and tolerates all small dogs as my daughter has two terriers but these two came flying out straight to the conservatory door barking vicously and even when i brought my dog out to introduce her they kept up the loud barking tirade eventually after several minutes we put our dog inside whilst the owner kept talking to us letting her dogs keep barking at the door eventually she took them in but the damage had been done as our dog who as a whippet can be a bit nervous was then afraid to go in the garden and we had to resort to walking her round the back off the petrol station on some rough land for her to go toilet then on the third day as usual we were having breakfast in consevatory with door open when once again they came charging out staight over to the door our dog immediatly flew out after them and only because i yelled leave was a really bad outcome averted as i had no doubt my dog would have killed hers as by now her temper was broke with the constant running at the door barking after that we couldnt eat in there or sit even though weather was brill couldnt let dog in garden as she was constantly watching for them coming charging out she even stopped eating and on arrival home her collitus flared up with the stress a good holiday in every other respect but all dog owners who book this place should be more aware of the shared garden use not just words on the booking form shared by owners dogs we had to spend the rest of the week in living room with curtains shut so she couldnt see them but owner seemed to to try and watch hers everytime they came out after that but wont come back as we really need unintrusive garden but overall owner very hospitable

The cottage was well equipped, clean and very comfortable.

Anni, our host, was very accommodating and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and will most definitely return.

Damp throughout the property, not clean at all, heating didn’t work, property cold all the time.

Shared garden which was not mentioned at all, owners dog barking at the property door at 6.30am, her dogs poo all over the garden. Left a day early.

We had a brilliant new year here with our two young children and two little dogs.

Annie was very kind and friendly and it was a very relaxed atmoshere. The garage on sute is also a big help. The cittage is lovely and spacious with a toasty open fire (and central heating!) There are lots of beautiful walks near by (we particularly enjoyed horseshoe pass) and some very dog and child friendly pubs too. I would highly recommend a stay here as a good base for exploring North Wales retreat .

15 for our arrival after a series of mishaps that would take me all day to catalogue. As soon as we set foot inside the cottage we breathed a huge sigh of relief and what looked like being a disaster had been rescued.The cottage was lovely clean and had everything we needed.And we wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.Thank You Anni

Great little cottage with plenty of room for us (3).

Well equipped kitchen, clean comfy beds, great to have decent-sized towels. Lovely host. Cottage in great location, within easy reach of Snowdonia, the North & West coasts and Dee valley. We had a wonderful week.

Disappointed as listed as behind other property, it is as you access it parallel to main road so in relation to road it stands alongside which makes it very close to road & road noise is inevitable particularly in front bedroom!

There is no footpath along very busy road so taking dogs out difficult, only went up road with them once as access to footpath across fields is blocked! Had to take dogs out in car to go for walk! Owner was away until last evening, arrived back with 3 dogs of her own which would have been a major problem had she been home with only a small shared garden with the weather so hot!

The week was pleasant and when asking for a hoover [it was supplied straight away for use] so could use it with having two dogs so could use it daily to maintain cleanliness.

The place itself was okay but was showing wear and tear with using, some windows had been replaced but will require further changing in the very near future especially as winter approaches. Looking at the place itself it presents well on first impression and the owner will accomodate needs like the dogs by allowing them free access, she has three dogs of her own which when she is not present can present with ongoing yapping noise that can travel at times, although the white goods are clean they require updating also. These are all things which does not impede a pleasant experience but would enhance it. With updating of the bedding which she stated had had large dogs on it previously and although clean did make us aware of this, on the whole we enjoyed our stay but for future development requires these areas to be corrected for a more perfect stay.

Bungalow is excellent but wasn't told the garden is shared with the owner and her 3 dogs.

Nice cottage, just wanted a private access to garden.

But was not too bad. A washing machine would be more helpful than a dishwasher. A bit mouldy, would not be an issue if I were not allergic to it, but tried to be out as much as possible, so had an amazing holiday. Area very nice, people warm and welcoming. The landlady very nice and helpful.
