    “The property was a warm and cosy haven, which was a blessing as the weather was not at its best, but it was November.”

    It was perfectly sized for three OAPs, en-suite bathrooms, easy access (four steps with handrails to door) close parking and easy access to patio at the rear. The location of the property allows you easy drives to all corners of Anglesey but we used the beach at Benllech most of the time. The village there has 3 small supermarkets, fuel station and eateries and is only 10 minutes away. All in all Black Horse Cottages is superb value for money and would return in a heartbeat.

This Pentraeth cottage has an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen and a comfy sitting area.

With views over the fields to rolling countryside and a decked area with a barbecue, this Pentraeth cottage is ideal for a small family or a group of friends.

A superb Pentraeth cottage for a holiday, no matter what time of year you visit.

Black Horse Cottages

Three charming cottages, made up of two terraced barn conversions and the old farmhouse, set around a central courtyard next to the owner’s home, just 1.5 miles from Pentraeth and 4 miles from the fantastic sandy beaches of Red Wharf Bay and Llanddona. These three Pentraeth cottages have been decorated and furnished with care and include cosy living areas, comfortable bedrooms and views over fields towards the coast and beyond to Snowdonia. These Pentraeth cottages are set in 14 acres of grazing and pasture land for horses and ponies, with a communal children's play area with a climbing frame, trampoline and swings. The two barn conversion cottages have raised decking to the rear, whilst the farmhouse enjoys a decked area with a private lawned garden plus all of these Pentraeth cottages have barbecue facilities, perfect for alfresco dining. There is much to enjoy in the area as this is an excellent base for walking and cycling as well as the fantastic beaches. The seaside resort of Benllech, the superb Anglesey Coastal Path, stretching for 125 miles around the island, and the historic moated castle at Beaumaris are all close by. Three lovely Pentraeth cottages in a quiet, unspoilt area, perfect for an exciting family holiday.

Red Wharf Bay 2 miles; Benllech 3 miles; Beaumaris 6 miles.

Pentraeth is a small attractive village on the banks of the River Nodwydd on the north-east coast of Anglesey. It has a village church that dates back to the 12th century and is located between Llanddona beach and Red Wharf Bay, which has over 4.5 miles of sandy beach. Red Wharf Bay’s Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and provides safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 6 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris which boasts a 13th century moated castle, excellent shops, pubs, restaurants, bistros and museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a great location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, yet only six minutes from the Britannia Bridge to access the mainland.
