What a beautiful cottage in the most gorgeous surroundings.

Wesh beauty at its best. Host's met us on arrival and went out their way to make us feel at home, very informative and knowledgeable about the area. Would recommend to anyone interested in staying here and hope yo come back one day.

Magical place, ideal for those who want to get away from it all.

The cottage is fully equipped with everything you would need, the fire place is magnificent...the age of the place oozes from the walls. Perfect for 4 legged friends. I'm here back home now and still thinking about how beautiful and wild the gardens were...myself and my dogs loved it.

We had a lovely time.

It was my first wedding anniversary without my husband who passed away in January, so we brought his ashes with us to build some different memories in acalm relaxing environment, also visiting our favourite places. Thank you.

The cottage is in the most picturesque area.

A bit of a windy road to get to it however once you get there, it's only birds and nature you can hear. The house is clean and has all it needs to make a family comfortable (perhaps a new fridge is in order). Making the fire every night was a nice addition. The hosts, Richard and Emma are lovely people, very welcoming and ready to sort out any issues there might be. The location is close to many beaches or mountains, depending on what one fancies. Morfa beach in Conwy and Newborough beach in Anglesey are lovely to visit if you want sand and a lot of nature interest (shells, rocks, birds). Conwy and Carnarvon towns are nice to visit too with a lot to offer in terms of shops, cafes and touristic attractions. For shopping there's Tesco and Lidl in Conwy, only 20 min away by car. We had a lot of fun despite the weather and our son being a bit sick. Our dog had a good time exploring the enclosed area around the cottage and playing with the farm's dogs.

This was a little hidden gem.

Lots of beautiful scenery in a quiet setting. Emma and Richard where lovely hosts and made sure that we had what we needed. The farm animals also made us most welcome. We would highly recommend this little cottage to anyone and will be booking again for next year.

Very good for dogs and abled bodied people ,I walk with a stick and big rocks by gate were a obstacle for me and slippery when wet ,but love the owners and all the animals ,need nerves of steel on the first visit as roads are very winding and uphill but after driving it once I was happy

Pant yr Iwrch is a very special cottage.

It has been lovingly restored, and is now a traditional, comfortable and homely holiday stay. Emma and Richard were friendly, kind and helpful. We really appreciated the whole calm atmosphere. And meeting the animals. It’s a perfect place to access many walks. We have had a lovely week there, and have rebooked already!

Beautiful cottage and location, not very easy to find.

The roads to the house are very narrow and steep and the directions on sykes are wrong, it takes you to another house up the hill. There is a short track to the house, with eggs for sale at the start of the track. The house is on a small hobby farm, and there are a number of farm dogs that are roaming free, the dogs seemed friendly enough and only barked every now and then when we pulled up the drive then run back to their house. One liked to visit us in our garden jumping over the wall, we kept our dogs away as one was nervous of other dogs. The owners who lived on the farm were so friendly and helpful. We fell in love with the house and the views were just beautiful, the beds were super comfy. There was a few things that were broken in the house like the dining table chairs but it has most things you would need. We had a lovely roast at the pub nearby Y Bedol. Would love to stay again, its a great base for lots of attractions, bodnant gardens is a must see, just amazing.

Absolutely lovely

Even though there was no washing machine listed, there is a washing machine in an out house just around the corner from the cottage.

Emma was welcoming on arrival, and if we needed anything we just had to ask.

The house is in a wonderful location close to lots of places of interest But The huge negative are the dogs.

When we first pulled into the property there were several collies blocking the driveway clearly protective of their territory. They were temporarily called back to their home but when we were walking through the garden to the front door they all came bounding over the fence - barking and snapping very aggressively at us. We are a dog family, we like dogs and had our own with us so it's not that we are nervous around animals but these dogs were clearly and aggressively defending their home. The owner had very little control over them. I had to hurriedly hide my kids in the house. It was very scary and not at all what you want when you arrival at your holiday home. Throughout the week I was afraid to be out in the garden as could hear dogs barking close by, once one appeared in the garden and another time one sat outside the kitchen window watching me. Mid week we unfortunately managed to lock ourselves out the house (easily done as the door automatically locked when closed). We have no contact number for the owners, Syke's helpline insisted I had to phone the cleaning company to arrange a collection of the key- but despite leaving 2 messages with the cleaner no one got back to me. Eventually I just went round to the neighbors/I assume owners. I had been reluctant to do so because of the dog situation. As I predicted when I went round a pack of dogs ran up to me barking aggressively and one tried to nip my leg. The owner did apologize but I had to run away to my car and literally wait in the car until the dogs eventually went home before I felt safe enough to venture back to the house. It was scary and intimidating. I did not let my kids play unsupervised in the garden and actually felt uncomfortable sitting in the garden myself. The night times were noisy with dogs barking, which may well have been from elsewhere in the valley but was still disruptive. There was a velux window directly above the main bed so the room was very light. I found mouse poo in the bunk bed top bed and window sill. I don't normally write reviews and I'm not a natural critic but I felt obligated to give feedback on this occasion. Basic needs - safety and hygiene but sub par. Indeed I feel obligated to explain the dog situation as I would hate there to be an incident with a future guest. I was going to say not suitable for families with young kids or people with fear of dogs but actually I dont think it should be limited to this. Being afraid of going outside from house to car and not being able to enjoy the garden definitely tainted the holiday. Safety concerns for the property.

The Cottage is unique and cosy.

We had Eggs from Chickens from the owner (Richard & Emma) and we had everything what we need in the House. It is a. Good Location to start by Car and visit the Surrounding.

We had everything we needed for a lovely weekend away and the owners were very friendly and helpful too.

Have already spoken to the owners but in general a well equiped property but needs a bit of TLC.

The 2 mile road journey to the property is only a cars width and needs to be taken with caution.

A very lovely cottage set in a beautiful location - we really enjoyed our stay.

Richard and Emma were excellent hosts; very helpful and welcoming, while being entirely respectful of our privacy. Our dog also had a lovely time here and enjoyed roaming around in the completely secure garden. We will certainly be recommending this property to any friends or family who plan to holiday in Eryri.

The cottage is in a lovely location, however the site is like a local tip with loads of tack around.

No welcome from owners at all No fire starter or match’s Cooker oven was disgusting. General lack of Maintenance!!! It was so bad we left two days early

Had the best weekend away.

Cottage was absolutely stunning so we stayed in the whole time we was there. Beds were super comfy and it was lovely sitting next to the log burning fire. Everything we needed was there and Rich was very welcoming when we arrived. We would definitely go back.

Such a lovely cottage!

We had the most perfect stay in Pant Yr Iwrch and really didn’t want to leave. The cottage itself is very nice and traditionally done up but with all the mod cons - we appreciated the waterfall shower after a long walk! If you like amazing scenery and beautiful walks then this is the place for you. Host Richard is also very helpful and offered lots of great recommendations. We will be back!

Absolutely gorgeous cottage in a great location.

Well equipped with everything you could need for a week away. Beautifully decorated for Christmas at the time we stayed. Cannot praise it enough, we'll be back.

Couldn't regulate heating system as tjwrw was NO thermostat to alter, even though local instructions said there was one in the kitchen, the place needed a good dust and polish, the bins were full of recycling in the kitchen, and NoT emptied from previous occupants.

There was NO suitable outside lighting and it was very dark when we came back from our trips. To negotiate the gate and pathway caused some concern as I'm disabled with knee issues... overall a quaint cottage that could do with some tlc and attention to cleaning the rooms and bathrooms..facilities were old and outdated.

Enjoyed our stay, it had all we needed to stay there .

The dogs were welcomed ,it was great for them with an enclosed garden. It was a long way up a single track which was closed for road works so we had to find another way , that wasn't a big deal but a little un nerving . If I have a tiny criticism it would be the cobwebs and dust on the beems. Nice host lovely fella , greeted us with a smile .

Apart from needing a ladder to get into bed (I’m only 5ft!

but it was very comfortable after I got on) everything was fine. Great wifi, log burner, views and PEACE The weather was great and we visited a lot of interesting places. Richard was excellent

A gorgeous cottage with fantastic views.

Ideal location for both Eryri National Park and coast. In a very peaceful location. The host who lives locally was such a nice friendly guy who was available if you needed him. He was very helpful and made our dogs welcome too. If you love the mountains and the sea then this is a place for you. Ideal for trail running, cycling, long walks & surf snowdonia is just 3 miles away.

The cottage was in a lovely location with amazing views.

It had everything in it you need for your stay but some things would benefit with being updated. We had some nice days so took the dogs to the beach which they absolutely love. A trip to Betswy Coed is a must.

Where to start, the cottage was everything we wanted and more, cosy, period features, views, location etc etc, beds were so comfy as well zzzzz, richard is a great help and such a nice man as well, he kept us stocked with logs and eggs for the week and cudnt speak high enough of him , it was our 1st anniversary break and had a week full of day trips and cosy meals at home, the cottage is about 15m drive into conwy, and other places like betwsy-y-coed, caernarfon and snowdon is 30-40 min drive away, we will 10000% stay again and would say to anyone going to north wales that this cottage is the perfect place for you .

Beautiful cottage full of character set in a rural location with amazing views.

Really enjoyed our short break here, only wish we could have stayed longer.

The property is a wonderful escape for the hustle and bustle of real life.

It's cosy, with all the amenities you may need. The wood fire is a lovely bonus, and our host Richard was fantastic and more than helpful. We will definitely book this cottage again!

We had a short break (3 nights) at Pant Yr Iwrch and could not fault it!

As soon as we arrived it reminded us of the cottage from the film 'The Holiday' such a peaceful setting with amazing views! The cottage itself was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. I would recommend doing a small shop before arriving so you do not have to tackle to roads at night. Beds were comfortable and we all slept really well. Had a chat with Richard who was able to tell us some places of interest to explore, thank you for your hospitality! Overall I would highly recommend booking and we just wish we had stayed longer!

Lovely and warm cottage, clean and a very comfy bed.

We had a problem finding the cottage but locals very helpful. Driving up the single track road was a bit hairy but once at the cottage you are rewarded with the most amazing views. We unfortunately only had one night from our weeks holiday, we had to return home urgently.

We loved our stay in Pant Yr Iwrch - it was such a relaxing & peaceful place to escape to.

The cottage has been very thoughtfully renovated with great facilities. It was refreshing not having reams of information to read through on arrival & were able to discover what we needed when we needed it very easily - the lights in the old bread oven were a nice surprise a few days in! We soon got used to driving on the narrow roads to the cottage & loved the walk up to the waterfall suggested by Ben. We’d previously stayed nearby so it was nice to have some local insight to what was worth doing in the area other than the usual activities. Sandra & Ben were very informative & welcoming and really made us feel at ease. Thanks for a lovely week!

Richard was friendly and such an interesting person to chat with.

The views were incredible and there was no shortage of quirky features to explore. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was space around the table for all of us. We loved the wide array of puzzles and dvds, they were appreciated after a long day at zip world! We can't wait to return and see how the rest of the place has progressed.

The cottage was really cosy and homely.

It was a wonderful base for a holiday and a lovely spot to curl up in the evenings while the kids slept.

The Postcode is essential and accurate to find the property.

Directions in the description could be more detailed if you dont have satnav. Very nice area, garden and views. Quite rustic accommodation and would be enhanced by updating the kitchen especially when you have 6 people to feed. Beds were very comfortable and linen were very good quality. Bathroom was good. Smell of oil in the garden depending on the wind direction and sooty smell in the lounge.

Amazing Views of the Conwy valley. Peaceful and Relaxing with tranquil gardens and lots of space for children to play and explore. Ideal for Dog owners and walkers.. Helpful and friendly host.

This must be the most magical cottage I have ever stayed at.

The place has got tons of character, amazing furniture, and spectacular views. All the things N-Wales is famous for are within close reach (the mines, the beaches, the mountains), and the routes to get you there are a delight to drive. Host Richard is a real gent, who went above and beyond when we ended up with a flat tyre. Can't say enough positive things about the entire experience.

Loved our stay .

Cottage held a lot of history. Had everything we needed. If I were to be really picky - we ran out of logs for the wood burning stove on the 2nd to last night but this wouldn’t be an issue on most stays (would would normally be warmer than April) overall no complaints and we would book again.

The weather was beautiful with stunning views.

The cottage was very nice with adequate facilities and good furnishings. It was warm and friendly with an excellent log burner. Beds were comfortable the only downside were an excessive amount of flies in the main bedroom, a fly spray had been provided but was inadequate for the amount of flies. We had a lovely time and the owner has great knowledge of the area and history of the cottage.

We had a fabulous stay and would happily return one day.

This property is the nicest we have stayed in. Lovely views over a valley. Peaceful/ comfortable/ spacious. Our dogs loved it too. Richard the host is charming and helpful.

We had a lovely stay with family at Pant Yr Irwch over Christmas.

The cottage is warm and cosy, the kitchen is well stocked, and the beds and bedrooms are very comfortable. We also really enjoyed the new shower! While we didn't venture too far from the comfort of the house, we appreciated the beautiful views down the hills to Conwy and the coast.

Great place if you want a remote cottage, just one issue it needs sign to tell where to park your car as at night its difficult to fathom when you first arrive, other than that a lovely place.

It's was pitch black when we arrived.

We did get lost locating the cottage, however having the extra Google link, description and photo did help up to finally locate the cottage. On arrival it was homely, warm with extra touches like dog treats for our dog. Having a fire really made the cottage. It brought back past memories from being younger. Suggested improvements: a cooker range, a door curtain - it got a bit draughty, and maybe lowering the bed. Overall a pleasant start to our Christmas. Thank you.

Remote cottage set in the Welsh valleys of Conwy.

Beautiful place, cute cottage equipped with everything you could possibly need. The views are stunning from the cottage windows and front door. The beds where very comfortable, everywhere was clean and tidy. The owners are lovely, very helpful and polite. Would we go back? Definitely!!!

We had such a great stay at the cottage, it was so peaceful with so many lovely walks around for our dog.

Really enjoyed our time there so thank you. Only thing I would say is sometimes the cleaning needed a bit more attention to detail for example a lot of cobwebs around on the door frames, on the ceilings in the big bedroom etc and there was sweets and bits under the sofa cushions but otherwise a perfect place to stay if you want a remote holiday let it’s lots of walks on the doorstep.

Very cosy fireplace and a lovely farm kitchen. Comfortable beds and bedding. The cottage is kept at a lovely temperature with the central heating. The silence was bliss, just the bird song in the morning. The garden is very dog friendly, being enclosed all around. Our two furry friends had a lovely stay. All in all one of our favourite cottage stays. Thank you to the owners for letting out this cottage for all to enjoy

A relaxing and wonderful holiday in a beautiful location.

The owner was lovely - welcoming and friendly, as were his three little dogs. Fabulous walks straight from the cottage into the hills, neighbouring villages or down to the river. A good spot too for access to lots of amazing places nearby.
