    “We have just returned from a fantastic week stay at Ty Coch.”

    Our family ages ranged from 18-85 with a dog. The house is perfectly positioned for doing plenty of activities. Most memorable- we climbed snowdon and went on velocity zip wire, which were amazing and all close by. The house itself is lovely , very comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of space . The kitchen was the hub of the house -we all enjoyed our mealtimes! We also made full use of the bbq with the spring sunshine. The stairs are quite steep so do factor that in -bedrooms are ...

This was a great holiday and we have all come home with lots of happy memories. If we want to return to the area, we will def book Ty Coch again.

The property

Ty Coch is a spacious, three-storey detached cottage near the centre of Llanberis.

The cottage sleeps ten people in five bedrooms which are a twin and a king-size double on the first floor and a king-size double with en-suite shower room, a double and a twin on the lower ground floor.

There is also a kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room with a balcony and a cloakroom on the ground floor and completing the lower ground floor is a bathroom, utility and games room.

Outside is a lawned garden with a decked patio overlooking a stream and off road parking for four cars.

Ty Coch is a fantastic base for families looking to explore the Snowdonia National Park.

LLANBERIS

Caernarfon 7 miles; Bangor 10 miles; Betws-y-Coed 17 miles.

Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. In fact, Llanberis is something of a mecca for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by train via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Each year, major racing events attract thousands to the area: The fast Snowdon Race to the summit, held in July every year, a triathlon known as the world's toughest, and The Snowdonia Marathon, held in October - a gruelling 26-mile course that starts and finishes in Llanberis, circumnavigating the Snowdon Massif. The area is also popular for mountain biking, open water swimming and stand up paddle boarding. Within Llanberis itself there are excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 7 miles from Llanberis on the coast is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn, Plas Newydd and Bodnant Gardens.
