“The cottage is a real gem, you are very lucky to have it on your portfolio.”

It is well maintained and a joy to stay at. The garden is fantastic and the flowers and shrubs are in bloom and colourful. The cottage is ideally situated for travel around the island. Parking outside the cottage was no problem and the neighbours on both sides throughout the week left ample space for us. We have been with Sykes on a number of holidays and this property is joint first place on the list. A big thank you to Sally who kindly rang us to say that the cottage was ready for us ahead of time. All in all a great week away.

“Lovely cottage in a very peaceful remote setting.”

Well kept garden area. Cottage is well thought out and has everything you need. Downside for us bathroom was downstairs. Parking is ok if you can get parked in front of the house.

“Our second time at this wonderful property.”

It really is a home from home. Everything is provided, we couldn’t think of anything we needed that isn’t provided. It was clean and comfy (I wish i could have brought the bed home with me it was so comfy). The garden is a lovely sun trap and gets the sun all day long, perfect for lazy days and playing in the garden with the dog. Loved spending time in the kitchen making food with the patio doors open listening to the birds signing and then sitting out eating and enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day. It will not be our last stay and are hoping to return for our wedding anniversary in August/September.

The cottage is tastefully and beautifully furnished and decorated by the owners, who obviously care that their guests have a comfortable stay. The bedroom is gorgeous, the bed is really comfy, the cottage was warm and cosy, the garden is lovely, really dog friendly, we were very happy with the cottage. Anglesey has many lovely places to explore, many beaches a short drive away.

The kitchen was terrific, with loads of room. The garden was brilliant, with an excellent fence to keep your dog contained, so you don't have to worry too much. The best find was Monuts, which was recommended. We will be coming back.

“Perfect, the cottage is tastefully furnished and decorated throughout, spotless and in a quiet area.”

The private garden is delightful and sunny all day. The only issue for myself being of the more mature age is the safety of using the over bath shower after assessing I did not use as the bath is quite deep and although appreciated the step provided still did not use, my husband found the bath became very slippy and would recommend a non slip bath mat.

“We arrived to a lovely, clean and well equipped property which had the bonus of a good sized, enclosed garden.”

We used the different seating areas in the garden and had seat cushions to use for comfort. We were provided with new towels and bed linen and the property had been cleaned to a high standard. The location was good and we were able to explore new areas of Anglesey without driving too far. We weren't sure whether to put the bins out for collection as this wasn't clear. The only negative was that neighbouring properties had dogs which barked/cried and as a dog owner, I found this quite distressing when we were sitting out in the garden. Overall we were happy with our stay.

“This is a really lovely cottage in a perfect spot for exploring Anglesey.”

We arrived to a very welcome pack of tea, milk and Welsh cakes. The house was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm, and it felt really spacious for a one-bed. Outside, the garden is completely secure for a dog and has fabulous views. Parking was no problem at all; we were always able to park right outside the cottage. The owners have thought of everything to make it a perfect base and we would definitely return and recommend.

The property was very clean, warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing week away (including a very thoughtful welcome pack of tea and Welsh cakes). Lots of places and beaches to visit just a short drive away. Our dog loved having the secure garden to run around in too! Would definitely recommend this place and we hope to be back.

“This was our third visit to the property, and this time we were disappointed.”

The property had cobwebs everywhere, and did not smell clean, insufficient bedding due to time of year. Mould on bathroom wall and ceiling. No heating in bathroom due to heater not work, shower ran warm. Internet very slow making watching TV a nightmare. Owner did offer to fix heater but you do not come away to have workmen in and out. A small refund given, however due to amount of issues was not really acceptable. Such a shame to be treated this way when a regular returning customer.

Thank you for your feedback, the fan heater was in addition to the heated towel rail and has now been replaced. We have had an aerial fitted to the property in case the internet is slow in future. The electrician could find no fault with the shower and it appears to be working fine. I dont agree with all your comments, but as previously stated I am sorry you were disappointed on this occasion Property Owner

Area very nice. Smelt of dog in cottage which I didn’t mind too much as have had dogs in the past but just be aware this can be very off putting for some people. I would stay again nice outdoor back garden setting.

“Another perfect stay!”

(My fourth time so it really is home from home!) I love your beautiful cosy cottage and so does my Border Collie, Hugo! The kitchen has everything I need to cook and I love the new oven. The Welsh cakes and tea and milk on arrival are always welcome! Lovely comfy bed! And I even got to try Mônuts at Llynon Mill this time as it’s never been open when I’ve stayed before. “Had a fabulous week in this immaculate and very cozy cottage.”

Everything you could possibly need, secure garden was fantastic for my doggie. Definitely need a car if staying here but Valley that has absolutely everything (pubs, Chinese, Indian, fish n chips, plus other shops) only 15 mins away. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

“We found a gem of a property when we booked Garnedd.”

Quiet,peaceful and cosy. The garden was perfect for our dog. Safe and well enclosed. Lovely views towards Snowdonia , although it did disappear into the mist for a few days. Good location for visiting the northern beaches of the island and even though we have visited Anglesey on many occasions still managed to find some new places to visit. We even found some red squirrels. The cottage had a very warm and sunny feel to it with lovely yellow decor and sunflowers in abundance. We will certainly be booking again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Beautiful, well presented and cosy holiday home.”

The owners have really considered what you might need both practically and in the quality of the finish. The garden was great, enclosed for our dog, overlooking field of sheep and Snowdonia in the distance. We even managed to sit in the sun with a glass of wine in late October. Would highly recommend the property as a means to relax, explore the island and have comfortable base. Would not hesitate to go back to lovely Garnedd.

“Garnedd is a lovely cottage , well stocked with everything you need for a holiday.”

As it is dog friendly its really important for guests to have access to a hoover and mop and this was met at Garnedd, making sure we could clean regularly to maintain the high standard, this isn’t always provided in all properties and can be frustrating for guests but the owners at Garnedd have thought of everything. Lovely and quiet location, comfortable furnishings ..we will definitely be back again. The welcome pack was appreciated and the welsh cakes were delicious. Can highly recommend Garnedd for 2 people and a dog.

“The cottage was small but perfectly adequate for the two of us!”

Decorated to a high standard and the garden was beautiful, we really enjoyed sitting out there with a glass of wine in the evening! Only small gripe we had was the ticking in the bedroom (from the thermostat I think) it kept my partner awake for a while on the first night. The cottage is situated a short drive from lots of lovely beaches, coastal walks and restaurants. It's worth pointing out though that the village itself is very small and there are no shops or pubs nearby so you need a car to get around. We actually walked to the nearest pub, The Black Lion, which took us about 45 minutes but it was a lovely warm night and the beer and pizza we had when we got there were worth it! We also met the owners who were lovely and would certainly recommend! All in all we really enjoyed our stay (2 nights) and would have stayed longer if work had permitted. We will definitely be visiting Anglesey again!

It was beautiful and immaculately clean. Great garden which was very secure for our little dog! So peaceful too. If every Sykes Cottage was like this, it would be fantastic to book with you again. However, when I was there I began to look at cottages for another break. That cottage looked lovely too. But the review was absolutely shocking. It put me off because I wondered why the cottage was still on your pages without a note attached from Sykes reasurring possible future holiday makers.... that things had improved. The cottage was in Snowdonia I think, and was filthy dirty. A new management company had taken over but it just put me right off because I think these cottages should be inspected periodically as the previous holiday maker had also commented on this too! Yuck

Nestled at the centre of Llanddeusant, the local area is perfect for a day of walking and nature spotting, be sure to take a trip to Llynnon Mill, home to a working windmill and rich in history, it’s a lovely area to stop for a tea and cake surrounded by luscious scenery.

The neighbouring village of Llanfaethlu is just a short journey away, home to even more eateries, Carreglwyd Estate with its scenic walks and even being a venue for festivals in the summer, it makes a great spot to take a picnic and enjoy romantic alfresco dining with your loved one.

With Llanfaethlu also boasting a glorious sandy beach, you’ll never be far from activity, whether it’s sandcastle building or trying out new watersports, the Isle of Anglesey presents a large array of beautiful beaches, perfect for any sun-soaking activity you feel like each day!

Just a short journey will bring you to the popular Anglesey destination of Holyhead, home to a maritime museum, an art centre, golf club, cinema, and the scenic Cliffside of the RSPB South Stack where you can birdwatch, it’s well-worth a visit!

The small village of Llanfaethlu nestles close to the stunning, north west coastline of Anglesey. Amidst spectacular cliffs and sandy beaches, this unassuming village provides a local shop and Post Office, whilst nearby Church Bay boasts a superb seafood restaurant. Wales' only working windmill is within easy reach, providing an opportunity to see corn being ground the old fashioned way, whilst the surrounding countryside boasts excellent fishing, birdwatching and coastal walks, with climbing on offer in Snowdonia. Indulge in fabulous watersports, including kitesurfing, diving and sailing at the stunning Rhosneigr beach, or enjoy 18 holes at a choice of three local golf courses. Spend the day at Anglesey Sea Zoo, visit the historic town of Beaumaris with its medieval castle and array of shops and restaurants, take a boat trip past Plas Newydd Country House or indulge in a day trip to Ireland.
