“Lovely comfortable house in a great location for exploring llandudno.”

Teenagers loved being able to walk to the pier and town centre in the evenings. Shops and restaurants a plenty and dog friendly beaches. It had everything we needed for a busy week visiting family. Parking is a bit of a nightmare as the house is right near the prom and town centre, we were there in the peak time of May Half Term holiday week and there were no free spaces to be found anywhere. We had two cars with us due to there being 6 people and a dog, and between us we spent over £160 on parking during the week! And even with paying we still always had to walk some way to the spaces we found. I expect in low season this is less of an issue. This is not the fault of the host in any way but just something to bare in mind with timings and budget. If you want to cook and eat in there is a very well stocked kitchen and big dining table that easily sits eight people. Lovely comfortable beds too, and sheltered, dog friendly garden.

The property

An individual terraced character cottage, situated on a quiet residential street in Llandudno, a short walk from the promenade, pier, beach and the Great Orme in one direction, and the town centre with its array of shops in the other.

This lovely four-bedroom cottage has been renovated and refurbished to a high standard and offers spacious, modern accommodation with tasteful furnishings and décor, whilst some of the character features have been preserved such as the pitched pine turned staircase and ceiling coving.

The sitting room has a wonderful fireplace with woodburner, creating a warming atmosphere in which to relax after a busy day shopping, exploring, walking up the Great Orme or simply lazing about on the sandy beach.

The dining room overlooks the pretty rear garden and is ideal for family meals and the kitchen is modern and well equipped.

The ground floor shower room is a welcome addition, with a luxurious first floor family bathroom with roll-top bath.

The three first floor bedrooms are well appointed with the main bedroom boasting a king-size double bed and the attic room with twin beds is a great children’s room.

Outside, there is a pretty enclosed front garden, ideal for enjoying your morning coffee in the sunshine, and in the evening, the rear enclosed garden with barbecue and garden furniture is perfect for alfresco dining.

There are many walks from the cottage, up to and around the Great Orme, and if your holiday is more about taking it easy then enjoy taking the cable car or Great Orme Tramway to the summit or enjoy a relaxing day on the beach.

Llandudno, with its Victorian pier and long promenade, array of shops, pubs and restaurants and two lovely beaches is a perfect base for a fun-filled family holiday.

Conwy’s medieval castle and attractive harbour and the delights of Betws-y-Coed, with its waterfalls and woodland walks, are both well worth a visit.

Snowdonia National Park, Llyn Peninsula and the wonderful Isle of Anglesey are all within easy reach too, offering endless opportunities for exciting days out.

In a great location, this cottage provides an ideal base for everyone for a holiday discovering North Wales.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!

Note: The property next door has decided to conduct some renovations, which will mostly be internal work. This will take place during normal working hours. Beginning around the 10th of March and is expected to end towards the end of August 2023.
