“The cottage was perfectly situated for travelling around Anglesey and discovering the bays and beautiful beaches.”

The cottage itself was a let down. First impressions before stepping inside were it was not looked after. Once inside, it was a complete let down. Nothing was clean, cobwebs were everywhere. I know its a countryside but cobwebs take time to develop. Sad to see the cleaning cupboard had lots of cobwebs dangling, so that hasnt been visited in a while. The hob was filthy. The Microwave was dirty. The kettle was dirty and leaked. Chipped cups/cracked glasses. The freezer was in need of defrosting and cleaning. There was old melted ice cream in the top drawer. The shower was enough to make you throw up. The water was slow to drain, when we checked the plug hole and the plug hadnt been cleaned since well if ever. There wasn't even a full toilet roll left. There was a mop and no bucket. A plastic jug with the handle broken off. There was washing up liquid but no sponges ( we bought our own). One tea towel. No black bags for the bins. The outside at the back was decking which was green mouldy and hadnt been cleaned. The hot tub on the other hand was great. This was clean and we used the chlorine as instructed. The outside of the shed was rusted and in danger of flying off. We put the bed linen and towels at the washing machine as instructed when leaving and were disgusted at the state of the pillows and mattresses which were heavily stained with ??? urine or some other bodily fluids, which frankly sickened my 83 year old mother my sister and myself. Outside there was a For Sale sign and when we checked both the house next door and the cottage were up for sale. I dont know whether the owners are not bothered about the comfort of their guests, but the cottage was grubby and dirty and a complete disappointment. We grudgingly cleaned the place before we left to the best of our ability with whatever cleaning products we had. I know its a self catering holiday and you have to clean up after yourselves which we gladly did but i did not go on holiday to be expected to clean the house for someone else and pay them for the privilege too. I have photographic evidence of everything I have complained about. I was embarrassed as I was the holiday booker and told them how great the last holiday was. The accommodation was a big disappointment.
