“This was our 2nd visit and, hopefully, not our last.”

We love this accommodation and location. Everything is top of the range, and it's so easy to settle in and feel at home. There are beautiful views and the peace and quiet, safety and excellent parking are all appreciated by the full range of my family members. We all hope that the standards at The Dunes can be upheld, year on year, and that this superb holiday let continues to be made available to ardent Llandudno fans like us. Judith

The property

The Dunes welcomes guests with off-road parking and sea views, and rests in the bustling seaside town of Llandudno, making it the ideal base for a family or a group of friends looking to explore the coast of Conwy.

Park off-road, where there is also use of a garage and EV charging point, before entering into the property to make yourself at home.

Upon entry, discover a kitchen/utility space with ample amenities, tucked away into the ground floor, as well as a shower room with contemporary styling and a bedroom with a sitting area and access to the rear garden.

Throw open the patio doors and allow the seaside air in, or head out into the enclosed garden to enjoy a soak in the hot tub or a glass of your favourite beverage in the sunshine as your four-legged companions recline on the grass beside you.

Travelling to the first floor, you will find a light and airy open-plan living space, an opulent space for guests to socialise and enjoy a hearty meal, cooked up in the amply-fitted kitchen, where care has been taken to create a contemporary space with stylish furniture.

Recline in the sitting area beside the gas fire and reflect on your day or enjoy a morning coffee on the balcony with a view across the beach and to the ocean beyond; also, on this floor there is a handy cloakroom.

Follow the oak staircase to the second floor, where you will find four bedrooms, including a twin, a king-size with fitted wardrobes, a second king-size with a Juliette balcony and exposed beams, and a lovely master bedroom with a handy en-suite and the added opulence of sliding doors, opening onto a balcony with wonderful sea views, a simply delightful space to relax.

There is a great selection of pubs, restaurants, cafes, and local convenience stores for all of your holiday essentials, with options including West Shore Beach Café, The Lilly, The Albert and Candles.

Walk along the well-known Llandudno Pier, visit the local nature reserve, take a hike up the Great Orme, or even try out an adventure-filled afternoon at the Llandudno Ski and Snowboard Centre.

There are many fantastic places to visit close to the property, including Conwy with its amazing castle and RSPB reserve, Anglesey where there are many stunning beaches, and the Welsh Mountain Zoo.

About the location

LLANDUDNO

Conwy 4 miles, Colwyn Bay 6 miles, Snowdonia 20 miles.

Llandudno lies between two headlands, the Great Orme and the Little Orme and it is these headlands, and the town's two waterfronts, that give this tourist resort its special appeal. The town offers two superb beaches - the North Shore, with its wide promenade backed by an imposing crescent of Victorian hotels and the quieter West Shore with miles of sandy shoreline backed by sand dunes and superb views towards Anglesey. For the best views, however, you can reach the summit of the 679ft Great Orme using either the Great Orme Tramway or by taking an exciting cable car ride of over a mile. The town has an excellent selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés, as well as Venue Cymru, which is North Wales' premier theatrical stage for opera, ballet, musicals, comedy and visiting orchestras, boasting a programme that is second to none - all this is just a stone's throw from the promenade. Just 4 miles away is the town of Conwy - a designated World Heritage Site. A true medieval gem, Conwy is dominated by a splendid castle and completely enclosed by its well-preserved town walls. Discover miles of sandy beaches along the North Wales coast and excellent walking and climbing in the Snowdonia National Park just 20 minutes' drive away - there's plenty to see and do!
