“The location of Ty Bryn is fabulous – easy access to the cliffs and beach and a lovely walk to Nefyn.”
The house does feel a bit unloved; damp and cold with the heating being a bit hit and miss - warmed up once the radiators got going but bedrooms in particular felt damp.
There wasn’t a fire starter pack, there were 2 logs, a stack of newspapers and 2 empty boxes of matches.
There are 2 bathrooms, only one of those was equipped – half a toilet roll and some handwash in one, nothing in the other.
Access isn’t allowed until after 5pm which is a bit late particularly when you have to go out to a shop for essentials straight away.
The curtains in the main bedroom, had, in some areas, come off the rail, it wouldn’t take much to put them back on by the maintenance/cleaning team.
There are beautiful bay windows in the living and dining rooms with curtains, plus a big picture window in the living room that didn’t have a curtain, the pole and hooks were there but no curtain.
The gardens are lovely but are not secure for dogs.
We have 2 small dogs who are very inquisitive, especially once it’s dark, they are very well behaved and come back when you tell them to but there are multiple ways into the adjacent field where there were cattle and onto the driveway which is open onto the road, albeit a very quiet road.
The kitchen is well equipped in terms of cooking essentials; pots, pans, cutlery, plates etc but no salt and pepper or kitchen roll.
All in all it was a lovely break away but do be prepared to take everything you need with you for a fire, bathroom essentials etc
