“Forest Lodge is an amazing place.”

Everything you could possibly need for you stay is available. The décor and furnishings are of a high standard. We had seven people in our group and no shortage of space. I must mention the beds as someone who struggles with strange beds... no problem I slept so well the beds are so comfortable. The location offers easy access to the beach which can be accessed through the forest and to most areas of interest. The outside space is nice and there is a BBQ area for use with disposable BBQs. I must mention the beds as someone who struggles with strange beds... no problem I slept so well the beds are so comfortable. The location offers easy access to the beach which can be accessed through the forest and to most areas of interest. The outside space is nice and there is a BBQ area for use with disposable BBQs. There is sufficient car parking space for at least three cars. There are some local shops within walking distance and a pub. We were quite sad we were not able to extend our stay as there was a consecutive booking. Richard was particularly helpful and friendly. Thankyou.

“Another excellent stay at Forest Lodge.”

A brilliant layout, a view to die for, close proximity to an excellent shop, pub and chippy, visitor attractions (Sea Zoo, Anglesey Sea Salt and others) but the star, without doubt is the Newborough Forest and the truly amazing beach. Literally just down the road from the property. Just a couple of tiny points that would improve things (Nit picking in truth). The frying pans need renewing, and locks on the bathroom doors would take the angst out of loo visits and showering. Other than that it is simply perfect. So worth the money Excellent!

The only slight quibble was with the "show directions" on the map which places the house 400 yards further down the lane than it is. Perhaps add "almost the last house in the village, on the left. If you get to the church on the right, turn round."

“One of the main reasons that we chose Forest Lodge was it's dog friendly feature.”

It was a shame to discover that the sizeable garden was not in any way enclosed or secure for our dogs to be left to play freely. It is, of course, our responsibility to supervise our dogs, but the garden could be made secure and self-contained very easily. I would not want to give the impression that this spoiled our stay - the house is beautifully set up and clean and well appointed.

“We really enjoyed our stay at Forest Lodge - the owner rang us to check everything was ok beforehand and it's probably the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in - truly immaculate.”

Lovely garden for our dogs whilst, not fully enclosed, this was made clear in the listing and they were safe and had lots of space. The only point to note is that the property is overlooked from every side which we're not used to so whilst we'd look for something a little more private next time, Forest Lodge is a lovely and good value place to stay.

“Everything was absolutely as we expected.”

The property was well set out and comfortable. Very clean, good towels and bedlinen. We appreciated there was t towels washing up bits, coffee, tea, et cetera there for us. Only tiny tiny tiny criticism, Could do with better cups, larger white mugs would be better. And that really is nitpicking. We enjoyed our stay. The weather could’ve been better but hey Ho. John.

“Lovely, modern property with great views and a good location, close to Newborough Forest and the beach.”

Great living and dining space and comfy beds. Decking area is fabulous with scenery to relax. Although was highlighted in listing 'not fully secure', my recommendation would be to secure the garden if possible so that dogs (and young children) can be kept safe. This could be easily done and would give guests reassurance of not having to worry when dogs or children are out in the gardens. I would then give the property a 10/10.

The small village of Newborough (Welsh spelling: Niwbwrch) lies on the edge of forests and dunes at the south west corner of Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve. The Tan y Foel horse riding centre is within 3 miles of the village centre and Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm and the Anglesey Sea Salt are only a short drive away and make a fun day out for the whole family. Nearby Aberffraw is the home of the Anglesey racing track and will offer an exciting day.
