“Gwynfa is such a cosy little place.”

We immediately felt at home and the amenities were just right for us. Everything was neat and tidy and very comfortable. WiFi worked just fine, although signal reception around the area isn't great. The village itself is very peaceful - you wake up to the sound of birds and sheep bleating which is worlds apart from cars and honking!

“We had an amazing stay at this property, and will definitely be back again.”

Such a wonderful cottage which is homely and had everything we would needed. The parking was right outside the cottage, which was a great advantage with loading and unloading our luggage. The dogs really enjoyed the garden space and we were able to talk to the neighbours, who were all very friendly and loved the dogs. The area was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for and able to drive out further for hikes and trails. Thank you for everything

“A lovely, clean, little cottage in a pretty, quiet village.”

The owner was prompt and attentive when answering my queries before our holiday which was very useful. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and thoughtfully furnished with taste. I loved the shower in the bathroom. The welcome pack was a lovely touch - a proper treat. The cottage is in a great location for exploring and we made full use of the good weather to get out and about - heading out in the car or going for walks. We took our own food with us, as there is no shop close by. However, I did see a Tesco delivery van while we were there, so that's an idea for next time. We will be visiting again.

“Lovely cottage in a lovely, quiet village.”

The cottage is small but big enough for 4 adults - the owners have made excellent use of the space. There is also a small garden with a table for sitting out with a coffee. Ysbyty Ifan is great base for exploring North Wales - we visited Caernarfon, Llyn Peninsula, Crioccieth, Snowdon, Dolgellau, Barmouth and Betws-y-Coed during our short stay. It's also possible to do things from the doorstep - I went for a lovely bike ride on wonderfully quiet roads - the owners had also left details of a number of local walks although we didn't have a chance to try any of them. We all loved our stay and would definitely conside a return visit.

The small, rural village of Ysbyty Ifan is idyllically set amidst rolling hills and mountains in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park. This is a National Trust village, renowned for being 'the most historical place in North Wales', and as the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln's Great Grandmother. The village has an historic and beautiful church, which sits on the site of the ancient hospice of the Knights of St John. There is also an old water mill and smithy, while the encompassing countryside is alive with a wealth of wildlife including the occasionally-spotted, rare red kite. Just 6 miles away, at the head of the beautiful Conwy Valley lies Wales' most popular inland resort, Betws-y-Coed, translated as "sanctuary in the wood". A haven for walkers and mountain bikers, this striking village is alive with cascading waterfalls, pretty river pools and ancient bridges and a variety of specialist shops, excellent pubs and restaurants to suit every taste. The unique, Italianate village of Portmeirion, the lovely Victorian town of Llandudno and the Roman city of Chester are all within easy touring distance, making this a wonderful base for a varied and enjoyable holiday.
