“My daughter and I, plus our little dog, had an excellent week at 6 The Oakleys over Easter.”

The cottage is central to all the amenities of Porthmadog including the harbour, steam heritage station and shops. The cottage was superb, very clean, comfortable and secure, just round the corner is an excellent dog-friendly cafe and the total experience was excellent. In fact this was our second stay in the same cottage! A five star holiday in a five star accommodation.

The property

This stylish ground floor apartment is situated in an attractive, private, security-gated courtyard of a prestigious development of 16 flats and apartments.

Maritime Mews is situated a few steps away from the marina and harbour.

Porthmadog and the Snowdonia National Park, which covers 823 sq miles are on your door step.

This delightful apartment provides excellent holiday accommodation for a couple, friends or a family and being arranged all on one level is great for those who perhaps would otherwise struggle with stairs.

One of the largest 2 bedroom apartments on the development, the interior has been attractively decorated with a slight coastal theme running through; cool whites and blues enhance the feeling of space with a light and airy atmosphere.

Enter through French doors into a well-appointed open plan living area, which includes a fitted kitchen with solid slate worktops and warm cherry units, a cosy dining area and a lovely sitting area with comfy seating and high ceilings.

Two sets of French doors off the living accommodation out to the courtyard with glimpses of the boats in the harbour, is a lovely place where you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast or return after a busy day and enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple!

Both stylish bedrooms benefit from large fitted wardrobes.

The main bedroom benefiting from a super king-size double bed and the other room two single beds, ideal for the children.

A well-appointed, modern bathroom completes this lovely holiday home.

There is a keyfob to open the electronic gates to allow cars in to drop off and unload outside the property for easier access.

The keyfob is available for a £50 refundable deposit from the owner by prior arrangement.

There is secure parking close to the apartment where you can pull up just outside the front door to unload making access easier, and once inside you can relax and start enjoying your holiday.

Everything is within walking distance of all the town's facilities, including shops, pubs, restaurants and the famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Steam Railways.

The superb beach at Black Rock Sands is easily reached, or you can enjoy a lovely coastal walk to the pretty village of Borth-y-Gest, enjoy the stunning landscape on the way and reward yourself with a cream tea at the owner’s tea room.

The Italian village and gardens of Portmeirion are only a 5 minute drive away and well worth a visit, and the coastal towns of Harlech and Criccieth, with their medieval Castles are both reached within 20 minutes.

Slightly further afield, discover the Llyn Peninsula: with many watersport opportunities at Abersoch and the quaint fishing village of Aberdaron.

With everything so close and so much to see and discover, this spacious apartment provides the perfect base all year round.
