“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ty Gwyn.”

The position right on the beach enabled us to continue to watch the sea and its tides well after most folks had left. Our party was 4 adults about right for the communal space even though the house sleeps 8. As stated the access is tricky but the stunning location easily makes up for this. We would happily book again.

“Outstanding.”

Property fantastic, so cosy and quaint. Very well equipped everything you could require. Just what we wanted a weeks total peace and quiet. Couldn't have wished for a better view, fantastic, enhanced all the more by perfect weather. Excellent location for beach and sea lovers. Definitely recommend taking note of tide time link conveniently sent by home owners. Searched for next year before we had even left, highly recommended this property Only recommendation we would suggest is glass fencing along front as a safety feature due to drop from garden , without taking away from the view and some sun loungers.

“Ty Gwynn. Is a wonderful cottage, unparalleled views, peaceful and truly special.”

The cottage is extremely well equipped, clean, warm and comfortable. The people living close by are entirely neighbourly. I’m recovering from a stroke and although fully ambulant now, I would have had real trouble scrambling over the rocks at high tide to access the cottage on arrival, , thankfully I was assisted by someone who has links with the cottage living nearby. When I got to the cottage it was well worth the scramble and at low tide there is a really easy path across the beach.I intend to book again

“Excellent position for a beach side holiday, right next to the shoreline of the beautiful bay, and with coastal walks straight from the door.”

I received communication from the owner with relevant information, following booking the property, of what to expect and how to access it. We found it to have a very welcoming rustic charm and tranquil homely atmosphere that suited us well, while some retro facilities added to the character and our experience of the property. It was also a bonus to have a private parking space, although a short walk away. We had a lovely, enjoyable stay.

TREARDDUR BAY

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
