“We loved staying at this beautiful house.”

We visited as an extended family of ten - seven adults and three children. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom were very good for my in laws who have limited mobility. The two living rooms and conservatory gave us plenty of space to spread out in. We made good use of the main living room with the wood burner and the kids gravitated towards the second smaller one. The kitchen was very well equipped and we spent a lot of time there cooking, eating and playing games. The only thing I would change ...

The only thing I would change in there is to have more drinking glasses - there were plenty of mugs and wine glasses but a very limited number of glasses for juice/water etc. The bedrooms upstairs were so pretty and had plenty of space for all. The house is set in beautiful surroundings and we really liked our daily encounters with the sheep and lambs in the surrounding fields. The pun, literally down the drive, served nice food (though only on the weekends). We would have visited more if their opening hours were longer. It is a lovely pub though. We also got the chance to go on walks directly from the house. One more thing we would like to change would be recycling bins. There was no information on recycling or a separate bin and we ended up binning a lot of recyclables, which is a pity. Overall, this was one of the best houses we have ever had a holiday in (we have been renting a cottage yearly for an extended family holiday for maybe 10 years) and we would gladly return!
