Julie “The accommodation was well positioned for the beach and coastal walk, and for small supermarket.”
There are a couple of pubs nearby. The flat was a good size and warm and we used the washing machine ok. There was a nasty smell, sometimes stronger than others. Don't know if it was the fridge or something else. It was just in the entrance and entrance to the kitchen. Parking was fine and clear instructions given how to get into the flat. The bed a little uncomfortable for our liking and sofa not very good for relaxing in. No welcome pack which was disappointing.

Don “Hafan Traeth, so aptly named, I had a smashing week here in Tyn-Y-Gongl (Benllech).”
Excellent accomodation with top notch facilities in a beautiful location what more could I ask?
- Don, September 2025Shoeshoe “The apartment was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.”
The proximity to Benllech Beach was a significant highlight. Being just a short walk away made it easy for us to enjoy the stunning coastline daily. The local amenities, including nearby shops and cafes, added to the convenience and charm of our stay.
- Shoeshoe, April 2025Nicola “Just returned from Hafan Traeth, the most incredible holiday apartment in the perfect location!”
It was our first time visiting Angkesey and it did not disappoint! The apartment is quite literally a 2 minute walk to Benllech beach which is stunning and perfect for families. There are toilets and a shop/cafe directly across from the beach. A 2 minute walk up the hill from the apartment and there is a Tesco express, the Benllech pub which is worth a visit, as well as little cafes and fish and chip shops. The shed does a lovely breakfast. There is also a small childrens park. The apartment itself was faultless. Immaculate, really well equipped, clear instructions, an area to sit out at the front. The toys and books available were really appreciated. And just when we thought it couldnt get better, we discovered a full beach set up in the outside storage including a beach trolley, windbreaker, chairs, picnic blanket, buckets and spades and wetsuits. Would highly recommend and will definitely return. Thank you so much
- Nicola, April 2025Jean “2nd visit and won't be our last.”
Everything was as explained in the booking. Lovely apartment and owners on the end of the phone if any issues. Couple of power cuts but that was nothing to do with the owners. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. So relaxing and home from home. Our Grandson loved the toys and books again and didn't want to leave. We will be booking again for next year.
- Jean, March 2025Elizabeth “Beautiful well equipped apartment, good parking space.”
Ideal for little children, toys, books etc. If you know Benllech you will know it has a beautiful sandy beach within walking distant. Everything was perfect.
- Elizabeth, November 2024Nicola “We had a three night stay last week from Monday to Thursday we had a short break for my partner 60th birthday.”
We found the accommodation fabulous and every thing in all the rooms was great .A very quite location and brilliant with the beach been on the doorstep was a bonus. And plenty of places to eat .
- Nicola, September 2024Carolyn “Beautiful apartment, lovely decor, home from home everything you need.”
Great information to apartment, lots maps, local area and places/things to do Anglesey. Bonus being gated and safe. Instructions getting into gate and doors was very good no problems. Code didn't work on getting into pedestrians gate, using car gates was fine. Would definitely stay again.
- Carolyn, September 2024Nicola “Wow, we had an amazing stay at Hafan Traeth.”
The apartment was perfect in every way. Perfect location, extremely clean and filled with everything you might need. The front terrace was very welcome for breakfast and an evening drink. The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We can’t wait to return.
- Nicola, August 2024David “A lovely well presented apartment conveniently situated within Benllech.”
Touring around the island from Benllech was simple and don't be put off by 20 mph speed limits in towns and villages. It is actually a bonus as it gives you plenty of time to see much more of this stunning place. We hadn't been to Anglesey for decades, but having returned it won't be too long before we are back. We would definitely use Hafan Traeth again. Thank you to our hosts for providing such lovely accommodation.
- David, May 2024Jean “Lovely apartment but also more than we expected, our 3 year old grandson loved the little touches to the children's bedroom, the toys and the book shelf!”
Everything we needed in a great location. We have already recommended this property to friends and we are going to make this our go to place every year with our grandson.
- Jean, April 2024David “Shower door loose on one side, but ok.”
A bit of trouble using the key codes. the side door in particular needed the reverse arrow key as prefix and sufix.
- David, April 2024Amanda “Very good everything you need.”
Had a bit of an issue with the hot water, had 3 showers 4th one very cold but rang owner and all sorted with minutes. and electric oven but sorted very soon after conversation with owner.
- Amanda, December 2023Michael “Very good safe and spacious appartment and location.”
No problems at all. We will return.
- Michael, June 2023Deidre “Beautiful accommodation, short walk from the beach.”
Great access with it being on the ground floor. Kitchen well equipped and toys and books provided for children which mine LOVED! Would love to return
- Deidre, June 2023Nigel “Hafan Traeth exceeded expectation.”
It was modern but comfortable, and well provided with all one could need. The twin bedroom with so many toys and games to amuse children amused my sister, and gave her ideas for her grandchildren! Being so well placed for exploring on a first visit to Anglesey we had a really good holiday.
- Nigel, April 2023Barbara “A beautiful, cosy, spacious, well equipped apartment in a great location for walks and exploring the area.”
- Barbara, October 2022Julie “Excellent stay.”
Apartment just as described and perfect
- Julie, September 2022Alison “This is a great little property.”
It is clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen is well equipped with modern utensils and two Nespresso coffee machines (two pod types). The location is excellent, being a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute walk to Benllech. There is only a very small outdoor seating area looking onto the car park which we didn't use as the weather wasn't too kind, but this really isn't a problem with the beach being so close. I would definitely recommend this property.
- Alison, July 2022Julie “Beautiful apartment, everything you could possibly need.”
Loved the décor it is very well thought out. So handy for the beach which is also beautiful. Thank you for letting us share this gem of a property.
- Julie, May 2022Emma “We had a lovely week and thank you for allowing us early access to put our food in the fridge.”
We were lucky with the weather, so having the outside terrace was a massive plus. There was a lot of room, everything you needed in the kitchen and nice additional helpful items, so we were really able to “make it our own” for the week…we would happily move in permanently.
- Emma, March 2022Malcolm “I found the bed in the main bedroom very uncomfortable and slept fitfully.”
It was not at all up to standard. Premier Inn do really comfortable beds!!!!! The rest of the apartment was up to standard but i dreaded going to bed every night after the first night !!!!!
- Malcolm, March 2022Thank you for feedback. We are sorry to hear that you found the mattress to be uncomfortable. Mattresses can be subjective, however we do try our best to ensure guests have a good night sleep so purposely bought a Feather & Black "holywell Mattress". We do hope you were able to enjoy the area and the rest of the apartment during your time with us. Property Owner
Jeanette “A fantastic apartment with everything you could possibly need.”
A comfortable stay in a beautiful place. A real home from home.
- Jeanette, February 2022Helen “Just returned from a week at this wonderful apartment.”
Couldn’t fault anything, spotlessly clean, welcoming, fabulous location, comfy and had absolutely everything we needed! Will definitely return and stay here again!
- Helen, January 2022Alison “Beautiful accommodation very cozy and perfectly situated for the beach and facilities”
- Alison, October 2021Yvonne “The apartment was modern, clean and very comfortable.”
There are plenty of places to eat and a beautiful beach at the bottom of the hill.
- Yvonne, July 2021Richard “This accommodation is fabulous, would definitely recommend and stay there again.”
The sea was warm enough to swim in after the tide went out 6pm. Short Steeple hill to beech but well worth it.
- Richard, July 2021Nicola “Lovely little apartment, well presented and in a great location.”
The main problem for us was that the terrace was down a step and not suitable for our young child. The cleaning (under rugs and beds) had been missed in places. We did though have a great week and would really recommend the apartment!
- Nicola, June 2021Arthur James “Such a lovely apartment.”
Had everything we needed. Beautiful, clean, comfy. 10 minutes to the beach. We loved all the furnishings and beautiful little pictures and ornaments. A lot of thought has gone into the look and feel of the apartment. You won't be disappointed.
- Arthur James, June 2021Ruth “Everything we could possibly want for our stay .”
Ideally situated close to the beach for our kayaking. The outdoor patio was a lovely extra. Decor was great too .
- Ruth, June 2021Heather “Clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped apartment, everything of a high quality.”
When a problem occurred with a couple of blinds, Rachel was on hand to sort it very quickly. Highly recommended.
- Heather, May 2021Caryn “A modern and relaxing apartment on the most perfect location.”
Highly recommended.
- Caryn, May 2021Patrick “We had a lovely relaxing holiday in the apartment.”
- Patrick, May 2021Tina “Excellent location very close to the beach.”
Beautiful apartment which was spotlessly clean. I will definitely be recommending this accommodation to my family, friends and work colleagues. The service received from Sykes Cottages was excellent.
- Tina, September 2020Paula “The decor and furnishings were like home from home.”
It was a massive apartment. It was a very nice apartment. Very tidy surroundings with maintenace people doing jobs around the people even in the wet weather Would definately stay here again
- Paula, February 2020Elizabeth “The apartment was very comfortable, clean and very well equipped.”
It’s located at a very convenient spot for access to the beach.
- Elizabeth, November 2019Richard “Lovely modern apartment located close to beach and good location for exporing Anglesey and Snowdonia.”
- Richard, October 2019Chris “Great location for the beach, walks, food, shops etc and accessible to the rest of the island.”
Benllech has the lot. The apartment was excellent, very spacious and modern. We saw photos of the central appartments and they are smaller so pick one in the two wings as they are much more roomy.
- Chris, September 2019Gemma “Lovely apartment in a fabulous location.”
- Gemma, September 2019Kate “Beautifully equipped apartment with all the comforts - the beds especially.”
There were lovely design touches and the owners had thought of everything you could possibly need. The location was even closer to the beach/walks and shops than we’d imagined. Despite the rather mixed weather the apartment really was a “haven” and really made our holiday! Ps we didn’t have any problems with the hot water and showers etc. There was plenty to go round.
- Kate, August 2019Robert “Just one small niggle, there was no electric shaver socket available, luckily i had taken my own adapter with me.”
- Robert, June 2019John “Great facilities in a perfect location for touring Anglesey.”
- John, May 2019Craig “A gorgeous apartment in an idyllic part of wales, will definitely return.”
- Craig, April 2019Sam “This was our first stay in Anglesey and we were blown away with the coastal scenery and walks, and the quietness of the roads.”
The weather was beautiful! South Stack lighthouse and Newborough forest and beach were particular favourites. In terms of the property, it’s a lovely apartment that has a new feel to it, and it is clear that the owner has taken a lot of thought and care re decoration, pictures and ornaments. Access etc was no problem. Only a couple of items that I think need considering. The hot water tank doesn’t seem to have much capacity. A bath and shower left the water cold (and it took hours to warm up again, not the 10 mins suggested in the welcome information). Also, the facilities for washing clothes weren’t great. Although it was a washer drier, the welcome pack told us that we couldn’t use the drier as it would overheat, and as the apartment had underfloor heating (and not radiators!), it was very difficult to get clothes dry. Having said all that, these are minor things (and may not affect the majority of visitors) and we’d definitely stay in this apartment again. Thanks for a lovely week
