The property

Kiloran sits within the seaside village of Rhosneigr on the Isle of Anglesey and offers a pet-friendly base that suits families and friends keen to enjoy coastal days, with a woodburning stove and the beach and village amenities close at hand.

Reached via a private lane just off the Main Street, the house feels pleasantly tucked away, with a designated parking space for one small car allowing you to arrive, unload bags and leads, and take in the fresh sea air before stepping inside.

The front door opens into an open-plan living space where wooden flooring leads you through the room, setting an easy flow between cooking, dining and relaxing.

The kitchen is finished with crisp white units and a contemporary look, making it a welcoming place to make tea on arrival, organise supplies in the fridge and freezer, or prepare simple meals on the induction hob, with the dishwasher keeping evenings free for downtime rather than chores.

Nearby, the dining area encourages unhurried breakfasts, shared suppers and the planning of beach picnics, while the sitting area invites you to settle back on the L-shaped sofa, light the woodburning stove as daylight fades, and spend the evening watching a film on the Smart TV or playing games together as the room fills with warmth.

Just off the kitchen, the ground-floor bunk bedroom provides a practical sleeping option for children or additional guests and includes its own WC, adding useful flexibility during busy mornings and bedtime routines.

When it is time to retire for the night, carpeted stairs lead to the first floor where the double and twin bedrooms offer simple, restful spaces to unwind, with soft carpeting underfoot in the double room and a versatile layout in the twin, while the shower room features tiled flooring, a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail, ideal after days spent on the sand.

Patio doors from the living area open onto a small terrace, a handy spot to step outside with a morning coffee, pause with a drink after a long walk, or let a dog wander close by.

From here, everyday essentials are within an easy stroll, with a shop and pub nearby and the beach comfortably walkable for paddleboarding, kite flying, sandy walks or watching the sun dip towards the horizon, while time exploring further afield might include cliff paths and seabirds at South Stack, castle walls and waterfront scenes in Beaumaris, or the house, gardens and woodland walks of Plas Newydd, all combining to make Kiloran a relaxed and well-placed choice for a coastal stay in Rhosne

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.

About the location

RHOSNEIGR

Llangefni 12 miles; Trearddur Bay 12 miles; Holyhead 13 miles.

The popular seaside village of Rhosneigr is situated on the beautiful west coast of Anglesey, famous for its spectacular cliffs and magnificent sandy beaches. The village has a varied history, including a 6th-century church, tales of smugglers, famous off-shore shipwrecks, and from the Edwardian era, it has been a fashionable holiday destination. Today, it is known for its magnificent beaches and renowned watersports, providing some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK, with tuition available in the village. Activities include fishing, sailing, sand yachting, wreck diving, golf, and hours of family fun on the enormous sandy beaches. There are several pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village, with the market towns of Llangefni and Holyhead (starting point for day trips to Dublin), and the city of Bangor within easy travelling distance. Rhosneigr is located near RAF Valley, famed for Prince William's Air Sea Rescue training base. Also close by is the Anglesey Race Circuit, great for lovers of car and motorbike racing, while on the island you will find Pili Palas Butterfly Farm, Anglesey Sea Zoo, and Beaumaris Castle. Boat trips around Puffin Island offer the chance to see nesting puffins and guillemots, or cross to the mainland and enjoy Victorian Llandudno’s shopping, restaurants, and dry ski slope, Snowdonia mountains, and the beaches of the Llyn Peninsula.

Please note, the off road parking space will only accommodate a small car (fiesta style). Larger cars will need to be parked on main road and NOT lane as this will cause an issue with the neighbours.
