“My husband, son 14, daughter 11 and I absolutely loved staying at Tan Meredydd.”

Cosy, comfortable and clean. Such detail and thought into every room. At the foot of the mountains, one can drive to Snowdon in around 20 minutes to start the climb. Closer still is the Nantlle Ridge, Yr Garan mountain, which is an easier climb and beautiful views. Just behind the cottage is a smaller hike up the valley. The local village restaurant Cwellyn Arms is just wonderful and so welcoming, great food. Would recommend to all for the best located cottage to explore the area.

Snowdonia is renowned for its scenic, mountainous beauty and the Nantlle Valley has so much to offer from gentle walks to more challenging ridges, and there's also the challenge of Snowdon itself! "There is a palpable sense of peace and tranquility that is almost unimaginable in this former quarry workers cottage in the stunning Nantlle Valley." Mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, beaches, historic towns, are all so easily accessible from Tan Meredydd in addition to the attractions of The Welsh Highland Railway, Caernarfon Castle, Zip World and Bounce Below to name just a few. This charming holiday cottage has been sympathetically restored and is in keeping with its surroundings.

The wood burning stove in the sitting room and the wood-burning range in the kitchen/diner plus storage heaters make Tan Meredydd an all-year-round destination.
