The bungalow was extremely clean and comfortable.

It was in a very convenient setting being able to walk into Beaumaris easily and with a lovely view of Menai Strait. It was nice to see Mr and Mrs Hughes during our week who were able to help with a couple of queries. If we wanted to stay in Anglesey again it is certainly a place we would like to stay. Thank you. This was our third time at Camlan, we love it there.

The house is comfortable with everything you might need, beautiful gardens and plenty of parking. But the main attraction are the marvellous views of the Menai Strait from the picture windows, we hope to return.

Lovely view but very dated and quite run down, was like staying in an old people's home with all the mis matched furniture, kitchen need replacing most of the cabinet doors were hanging off and patio set was all broken ,such a shame as it coul1d be a really beautiful retreat but needs modernisation.

Accommodation is lovely an clean, an well managed, spacious in all rooms and views from the property are outstanding, the hosts were perfect in every way and very nice people.

The best view you could get .

A few minutes walk into Beaumaris. Very comfortable accommodation. Could do with a bit of an upgrade of furniture and fittings . Garden is lovely but not dog secure as no gates at sides of property. Overall wonderful visit and will definitely return when it becomes bookable .

Camlan is a lovely, well equipped holiday home in a delightful setting.

It’s not the first time we’ve stayed at Camlan, and it won’t be the last!

We’ve booked again for next year. The view through the panoramic windows is wonderful, and we never tire of it. Camlan’s garden, beyond which are the Menai Straits, then the mountains. You can see for miles, and it’s ever-changing with whatever the weather and the tides throw at us.

The cottage is very well situated with easy access to Beaumaris, the lovely Hidden Gardens and many other places to visit. From the lounge there is a most spectacular view across the Menai Straights. The owner is extremely helpful and accommodating. It was well worth our third visit.

Perfect location for exploring Anglesey.

Fabulous views which you could sit and look at all day. We had everything we needed and more. The house was spotless. The only thing missing was some cushions for the outdoor furniture. Thank you for the wine and biscuits!

This is our 8th visit to Camlan which says everything,we liked the new hangers and the pillows and duvet were very comfy, just a couple of things need attention,toilet roll holder and heated towel rail are still loose in bathroom,also the Conifer at top of driveway has grown so that it's blocking the view of cars and pedestrians,we also left this year with a scratch down the side of our new car for the first time, that being said we will be back in 2026 ps thanks Patricia for the wine,biscuits and lovely flowers x

Mr Hughes the owner came and helped us with the TV which was very appreciated thank you.Camlan does have some issues with maintenance but things I mentioned in their snag book could be so simple to solve,see you next year xx

Great location on outskirts of Beaumaris and stunning views. This was our third visit and we look forward to returning in 2025.

Our second visit to Camlan, once again a pleasant experience for myself and my family, and I’ve already booked again for next year.

This was the first time we had met the lady who owns the house, and it was a pleasure, as it’s a house with extra touches, and all down to her. The panoramic view to the mountains with the the Menai Straits between is ever moving, and different every day.

Lovely cottage with perfect views.

If it is a relaxing holiday you need this is just right. If it a holiday with kids beach and town is an easy walk. Would definitely stay again.

Return visit from last year and a joy to be back.

Property was clean and comfortable and very quietly situated in an idyllic location with unbeatable views. Facilities and accommodation were excellent. Our only concern was the omission of a safety mat in the bath/ shower which made the bath floor dangerously slippy and necessitated the immediate on-line purchase of our own as we sometimes have mobility issues. This in no way spoilt our stay and we have rebooked for 2025. Patricia, the owner, called to see us and brought some of her plum jam……a real treat! Thankyou.

Had a Great time, think this was our twelfth visit still love Camlan, location, view's and Garden would sit there all day but the wife likes to get out and about.

Really comfortable bungalow in a great location

As always we enjoyed our stay at Camlan….

. (and never get tired of the view from the window towards Beaumaris and over the Menai Straits towards Snowdonia). Mr & Mrs Hughes called in - as always - and asked how we were settling in and any issues, (good to catch up and have a chat). We were surprised at how much ‘organising of the running of the property’ has to be done by the owners - and isn’t included in the agents fee to Sykes. Looking forward - already - to our next visit to Camlan, - a real ‘home from home’. Martyn & Mandy.

After staying at this property last year we made the decision never to book with Sykes again.

A complaint was made on our return regarding the drain collapsing and the continuous hassle we had. Mopping all the water up ourselves from the owners dehumidifier which was leaking and no PAT tested sticker on it. The second toilet could not be used. I believe the owner had said it was blocked drains which we can guarantee it wasn’t as the builder told us it had collapsed. Our reply from Sykes was not acceptable. No sorry or good will gesture. Very poor customer service.

The location of this property is fabulous with stunning views and an easy walk into Beaumaris.

Camlan was immaculate and the beds were comfortable. The welcome chocolates and wine were a very nice touch . Easy parking with plenty of space . We would love to have a return visit .

After several visits to Camlan, I was tempted to say that I would not recommend the property to anyone!

Only because the more people who are choosing to book means there is less likelihood of “our” weeks being available! We had a very relaxing holiday,in a very comfortable, warm home. However, for me the main draw is the lounge,with its picture windows and ever changing views over the straits to the hills beyond. Heaven ! Christine Mills.

First time at Camlan ,as good as expected ,everything you could need ,home from home , , Fabulous views of Menai Straight ,wildlife in abundance .

A hawk landed on the fence outside the front window ,dare we believe it was a baby eagle? Would go back in a heart beat .

We had a wonderful break at Camlan, in spite of some very interesting weather mid-week, due to the tail-end of a hurricane passing through.

My family members also had a great time, and spoke highly of the panoramic view, and the comfort of Camlan itself.

Shower is hard to access if you have mobility problems, other than that we have always loved our stays.

Hi, Great property, very spacious and had everything we needed.

Very warm, comfy beds. Could do with a 2nd bathroom and the garden to be secured ( eg gates on the sides) for dogs. But these are only minor issues. The views and location are the best in Beaumaris. Stayed with my elderly mum, she loved it. Owner was lovely and very accommodating. Highly recommend

The location of the property is great and the views are amazing.

The property however whilst comfortable is very dated. It needs a new kitchen and the general furniture and furnishings need updating to warrant the rental cost

A comfortable, clean and cosy home with superb views of the menai straight.

This was our second visit within 18 months and the facilities did not disappoint. The property is ideally located to the town and the shopping facilities for food, papers, fish and chips (and ice cream) are excellent. We shall definitely return should the property be available to rent in the future. Albeit VERY minor criticisms, the kitchen upper cupboard doors require rehanging as they are somewhat sagging and additional toilet rolls and bin liners for the tall peddle bin would be very welcome.

Fabulous property, immaculately clean and with everything you need.

The location is amazing with views across the straights from the sitting room , patio and terrace, with the added advantage of being just a few minutes walk away from Beaumaris town centre. One very minor criticism was there were not many dishwasher tablets or bin bags left.

We had an absolutely fabulous week in Beaumaris, helped by the glorious weather.

Camlan is a very comfortable cottage, very well equipped including the benefit of a utility room. It's in a fantastic location with brilliant views that are ever changing. It was lovely being able to sit outside and have breakfast in March in the shelter patio area taking in the view. Would highly recommend.

Camlan is a beautiful home from home, loved and cared for, with stunning views of the straits, an excellent base for beaches,gardens and N/T properties.

The location was superb, 5 minutes walk to all the amenities Beaumaris has to offer.

The cottage itself very clean, warm and had all the equipment to ensure we had a very comfortable stay and the views were amazing. The beds were so comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. We had one small issue turning the shower on but we e-mailed the owner and they replied immediately and it is just a bit stiff. We couldn’t fault it at all and the gift of wine and biscuits was gratefully received. The garden was also lovely and would be great for BBQ’s in warmer weather. Plenty of garden furniture too.

Been going to camlan for 12 years now twice a year feel safe as if I were at home owners pop up as they always do make sure all is good brought us sweet peas flowers just beautiful amazing fabulous views

The property was exceptionally located to provide superb views of the menai straight from the rear garden and lounge window whilst enabling a very short walk into the town.

Notwithstanding that the property was cleaned to a high standard, furnishing, including the sleeping accommodation was very comfortable. The provision of a bottle of wine, associated shortbread and differing expresso coffees was a welcome gesture upon arrival. Albeit a very minor point, the holiday description failed to mention the availability of a DVD player (a useful alternative to boring evening television), hence the reduced score for accuracy of listing. The family, including the golden retriever had a wonderful enjoyable stay in a well presented property.

This cottage is excellent.

The lounge chairs and sofas are so comfortable, and provide beautiful and ever changing views from the picture windows. It more than lives up to expectations. Owners thoughtful and so considerate. Warm, well equipped, comfy beds, spotlessly clean....what more could you want. Sadly Covid meant we had only one of our two weeks, but both owner and Menai holiday staff were so helpful. Camlan was very, very, comfortable!

Fabulous views from the lounge over the sea! Because we are quite elderly, some external lighting at the back would be a help when taking out the dog on the lawn! The solar lights helped with a torch. We will definitely book Camlan again! Fabulous holiday! Thankyou

Staying at Camlan was everything we hoped for in a holiday and more.

Beautifully kept, well equipped home with stunning views across the Menai Strait. Perfectly situated just a short walk from picturesque Beaumaris, where we enjoyed a plethora of restaurants, museums and historic places of interest. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners, we look forward to returning and would highly recommend it.

I could have sat all week just admiring the view from that big armchair in the lounge, the way the light on the sea and the mountains varied. the view was constantly changing, it was gorgeous. the bungalow was very well fitted out and very comfortable. my one little grouse being the sole male among five females, the bathroom. a second one would have been nice with our party of six.

Camlan is a ideally situated holiday home - easy walking distance into Beaumaris with its varied shops,pubs and restaurants but with amazing views over the Menai Straits to Snowdonia.

The house itself is very comfortable, well equipped and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the few days we spent there and would definitely return. Thank you also for the lovely welcoming touches - fresh flowers, biscuits and wine!

the best cottage we have had the pleasure to stay in. The view from the lounge was absolutely stunning! For the rest of our stay we loved to watch the boats on the Menai Straits and found it so relaxing and peaceful. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and very spacious. With 4 children we liked the secure gate at the bottom of the garden which enabled us a short cut to walk into Beaumaris. The facilities were excellent and Mr & Mrs Hughes, the owners, came to say hello and check everything was fine.Would love to stay here again in the not too distant future.

Mrs Hughes is lovely Lady, who always takes the time to call to see if things are ok. Clean, great location, grandchildren love the big garden, views to die for and the lockable door at the bottom of the garden means its only a short walk to the town centre, when the tides in it's like being on a ship if you sit in the living room with a good book and look up.
