“After several visits to Camlan, I was tempted to say that I would not recommend the property to anyone!”

Only because the more people who are choosing to book means there is less likelihood of “our” weeks being available! We had a very relaxing holiday,in a very comfortable, warm home. However, for me the main draw is the lounge,with its picture windows and ever changing views over the straits to the hills beyond. Heaven ! Christine Mills.

“Hi, Great property, very spacious and had everything we needed.”

Very warm, comfy beds. Could do with a 2nd bathroom and the garden to be secured ( eg gates on the sides) for dogs. But these are only minor issues. The views and location are the best in Beaumaris. Stayed with my elderly mum, she loved it. Owner was lovely and very accommodating. Highly recommend

“A comfortable, clean and cosy home with superb views of the menai straight.”

This was our second visit within 18 months and the facilities did not disappoint. The property is ideally located to the town and the shopping facilities for food, papers, fish and chips (and ice cream) are excellent. We shall definitely return should the property be available to rent in the future. Albeit VERY minor criticisms, the kitchen upper cupboard doors require rehanging as they are somewhat sagging and additional toilet rolls and bin liners for the tall peddle bin would be very welcome.

“Fabulous property, immaculately clean and with everything you need.”

The location is amazing with views across the straights from the sitting room , patio and terrace, with the added advantage of being just a few minutes walk away from Beaumaris town centre. One very minor criticism was there were not many dishwasher tablets or bin bags left.

Camlan is a very comfortable cottage, very well equipped including the benefit of a utility room. It's in a fantastic location with brilliant views that are ever changing. It was lovely being able to sit outside and have breakfast in March in the shelter patio area taking in the view. Would highly recommend.

“The location was superb, 5 minutes walk to all the amenities Beaumaris has to offer.”

The cottage itself very clean, warm and had all the equipment to ensure we had a very comfortable stay and the views were amazing. The beds were so comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. We had one small issue turning the shower on but we e-mailed the owner and they replied immediately and it is just a bit stiff. We couldn’t fault it at all and the gift of wine and biscuits was gratefully received. The garden was also lovely and would be great for BBQ’s in warmer weather. Plenty of garden furniture too.

Notwithstanding that the property was cleaned to a high standard, furnishing, including the sleeping accommodation was very comfortable. The provision of a bottle of wine, associated shortbread and differing expresso coffees was a welcome gesture upon arrival. Albeit a very minor point, the holiday description failed to mention the availability of a DVD player (a useful alternative to boring evening television), hence the reduced score for accuracy of listing. The family, including the golden retriever had a wonderful enjoyable stay in a well presented property.

The lounge chairs and sofas are so comfortable, and provide beautiful and ever changing views from the picture windows. It more than lives up to expectations. Owners thoughtful and so considerate. Warm, well equipped, comfy beds, spotlessly clean....what more could you want. Sadly Covid meant we had only one of our two weeks, but both owner and Menai holiday staff were so helpful. the view was constantly changing, it was gorgeous. the bungalow was very well fitted out and very comfortable. my one little grouse being the sole male among five females, the bathroom. a second one would have been nice with our party of six.

“Wow! the best cottage we have had the pleasure to stay in.”

The view from the lounge was absolutely stunning! For the rest of our stay we loved to watch the boats on the Menai Straits and found it so relaxing and peaceful. The bungalow was spotlessly clean and very spacious. With 4 children we liked the secure gate at the bottom of the garden which enabled us a short cut to walk into Beaumaris. The facilities were excellent and Mr & Mrs Hughes, the owners, came to say hello and check everything was fine.Would love to stay here again in the not too distant future.

Mrs Hughes is lovely Lady, who always takes the time to call to see if things are ok. Clean, great location, grandchildren love the big garden, views to die for and the lockable door at the bottom of the garden means its only a short walk to the town centre, when the tides in it's like being on a ship if you sit in the living room with a good book and look up.

Clean and comfortable. Lovely big garden. Fantastic views. Down side could do with more cupboard space for dry goods. Wine glasses on the small side.no pint glasses. Could do with a good none stick frying pan. Some large mugs for tea would be nice. But all that said all minor points we had a great stay and have booked for next year. Would highly recommend.

You could not want for more - a warm, spacious, welcoming dormer bungalow with breathtaking views.We can just imagine relaxing in the sitting room soaking up the sea views from the large windows.You even get incredible views from the patio doors when you're preparing a meal in the kitchen! Sleeping six, this is a brilliant holiday bungalow for a family or group getaway on Anglesey.

The large, landscaped garden is the perfect space for some outdoor family games, to relax with a book in the sunshine with gorgeous sea views, or generally just relaxing in the fresh Welsh sea air!

What's more, this fab bungalow is located in Beaumaris, one of Anglesey's prettiest seaside towns. The open plan sitting and dining room is a delight with its picture windows maximising the the wonderful views.The sofas and chairs are comfortable and set around a eletric fire and large flat screen TV.At one side of the room is the dining table and chairs for up to six people and patio doors that lead out onto a terrace that acts as suntrap.The kitchen has everything you’d expect for a self-catering holiday; oven, grill and hob, larder fridge, dishwasher, microwave and toaster.A breakfast room has a table and chairs as well as patio doors that lead out onto a terrace with garden furniture.Sit out here with your morning cup of coffee and watch the world go by.The utility has a large freezer, washing machine and tumble drier.There is also a separate cloakroom here with loo and wash hand basin.On the ground floor there are two bright double bedrooms.There is also a ground floor family bathroom with bath and shower over, loo and wash hand basin.There is a good-sized twin room on the first floor. Outside is a large, landscaped garden with grassed areas, shrubs and terraced areas which make the most of the views.This outside space is ideal for outdoor family games.

A gate at the bottom of the garden will lead you down to the sea front.You’ve got ample parking and use of large double garage, too. Beaumaris has an excellent variety of places to eat and drink, from traditional cafes to sophisticated restaurants and all things in-between, or you can simply sit and enjoy watching the sailing boats from the beach ........all this and more without having to pick up your car keys!

The delights of Anglesey and North Wales beyond are not far away if you do want to explore further afield.

About the location

BEAUMARIS

Menai Bridge 4 miles.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.
