Coed Bolyn Lodge

Well what can I say, our stay at Coed Bolyn Lodge was everything we expected and more.

The views of the Snowdonia mountains was spot on and if you have Binoculars on a clear day you can see the little steam trains going up and down Snowdonia, a real treat.. If you want a peaceful comfortable cottage this is the place to be, with stunning views also over Anglesey, 10 minutes drive to Caernarfon and also Bangor with lots of amenities. We travelled to the Llyn Peninsula, Beaumaris, Caernarfon Castle is a must and Llanberis lake all stunning places, I would definitely recommend this cottage to stay as its location is spot on for seeing local attractions… We came home totally relaxed and chilled…

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a truly wonderful stay at Coed Bolyn Lodge and would absolutely return in the future.

The lodge itself was beautiful, comfortable, fully equipped and ideally located for exploring North Wales. It was within easy reach of all the attractions we wanted to visit, making it the perfect base for our family holiday. My husband, our children and I all loved every minute of our stay. As the owner of a cleaning company, I naturally pay close attention to cleanliness and have very high standards. I can honestly say this property was absolutely spotless and faultless in terms of cleanliness. Whoever is responsible for the housekeeping deserves real recognition, as they are doing an exceptional job. We stay in many different places, and this was one of the cleanest properties we have ever visited. The thoughtful welcome gifts, including cake, tea, coffee and milk, were such a lovely touch and made us feel instantly at home. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable family break, and it was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into preparing it for guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and created some wonderful family memories here. Our children absolutely loved it, and we are already talking about coming back in the future for a longer visit. A special thank you to Sue and Gwen for their kindness and generosity in arranging for our daughter’s forgotten charger to be returned to us free of charge. It was greatly appreciated and reflects the genuine care shown to guests. Overall, Coed Bolyn Lodge exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful, welcoming and exceptionally well-maintained place to stay, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a family getaway in North Wales. Thank you again for such a lovely stay. We hope to return one day.

Coed Boleyn Lodge was even better than expected.

Roomy accommodation that was spotlessly clean and fully equipped. Its location and outlook is stupendous. The bungalow is well suited for people with disabilities; one of our group is a wheelchair user and the only slight problem was using the two external doors. The owners were extremely helpful before and during our stay. We would highly recommend this property.

The cottage is a great base to explore north Wales and is exactly as expected.

The views are amazing from every window in the cottage! We would recommend it to others for sure! We stayed for a full week as a family of 6 and wasn’t disappointed at all.

Such a lovely holiday home to stay in.

You are made to feel very welcome unlike some places we have stayed. The cottage has all you need and more..the views and surroundings are amazing . For families there is lots to do without having to travel too far. Enjoy!

Coed Bolyn Lodge was delightful.

It was comfortable, well-appointed and had wonderful views of Snowdonia. It was conveniently situated for ready access to Caernarfon, Anglesey, Bangor, Conwy, the Llyn peninsula, Llanberis and the mountains etc. The owners were helpful and communicative. We wouldn't hesitate to book the property again if we return to the area.

This is a lovely bungalow in a very scenic position, with everything you could need.

It is in a position with good access to a large area of Wales. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely spacious house with great views.

Good kitchen space well equipped for cokking family meals. Given that we were there in February the mountains were hidden in rain as much as they were visible. When it was windy you could it hear it whistling past but we were warm and snug. The water pressure is quite low so the shower was only bit not perfect.

Excellent location for snowdon marathon

A lovely cottage with stunning views, stocked with everything you could need, including Tea, Coffee, Milk and Cake.

We only ate breakfast as we were out all day and evening. Only slight problem was the low water pressure which didn't affect us too much.

We also had very good communication with the owners . We were a group of friends with different likes and Coed Bolyn suited us all. Most places we wanted to visit were within easy access of the cottage. It was a perfect place to stay .

Just returned from a fantastic holiday staying at Coed Bolyn Lodge.

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Very easy to find and a fantastic location for visiting all the wonderful attractions in the area. The views surrounding the cottage are amazing along with the beautiful sunsets. It was so peaceful and quiet and was lovely to sit out in the garden and relax. It was great to stay somewhere that provides decent sized towels, we've stayed at many places that say towels provided and they are the smallest towels that would only cover a child, but thankfully we didn't have that issue here. The communication from the owners was great. A wonderful holiday and can't wait to come back.

Perfect layout for families, very clean, and well equipped. Most of all the stunning views, breath taking. Set in a quiet location but surrounded by so many things to do and places to visit. We hope to return for a longer stay.

Absolutely loved this cottage.

Perfect location for exploring the area. Unbelievable views of the mountains. Sunrise and sunset visible from the cottage too. Inside was specious and well laid out with everything you could need. Gwyn and Sue were fab communicating with us via email about anything we needed to know. They also returned a teddy that got left behind on the drive!! Wouldn’t even let us pay for the postage. A fantastic holiday and would absolutely recommend to friends and family. Thank you for our wonderful stay in your property.

The cottage is set in a peaceful and tranquil spot with fabulous views of Snowdon and the surrounding countryside.

The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable and obviously a loved family holiday home. History of the cottage is an interesting read. There are many places to visit both free and payable in the area including two beautiful and interesting National Trust properties. Llanberis is a must do, whether it’s to go up Snowdon on the train or catch the little train for a trip round the lake or just wander! Our main reason to visit was for two of our party to use the zip wire at Zip world - WOW they loved it! Beautiful sunny day so great trip! Only things that let the cottage down are the water pressure which was dire and no outside patio area where we could sit and enjoy the sun. We had a fabulous weekend and loved the cottage.

Really lovely property.

Ideally located and set in grounds with a beautiful views. Immaculately clean , well equipped and comfortable beds. Not five stars only because the water pressure was not great in one of the showers and the temperature could not be adequately controlled. No problem as there were only three of us and we used the one shower, however this would have been an issue if there was six of us. I would recommend this property and will stay again in the future. Contact from the hosts was very informative and comprehensive. Excellent hosts and property.

We had an excellent stay.

The cottage is in a great location for exploring the area and attractions that we wanted and the views are fabulous. The facilities were everything we needed and more. We loved how spacious it was. There were just a few niggles. Low water pressure which you probably can't do anything about. I have a back problem so I had difficulty getting comfortable on the very soft settees. Your cleaner may have had an off day because there were crumbs on the settee and on the dining chairs but apart from that we couldn't fault the cleanliness. Thanks for a great stay. Martin

This is by far the best holiday accommodation we have experienced.

The cottage is clean, comfortable, well furnished and exceptionally well resourced. There are wonderful views of Snowdon from the garden. This was our third visit and will not be our last. Thank you to owners Sue and Gwyn for your attention to detail

Coed Boleyn Lodge provides excellent accommodation.

Its location is superb and meets our needs superbly for travelling around North Wales or just sitting still and enjoying the landscape! Gwyn and Sue are wonderful hosts and we thank them again for their generosity. We hope to return in the not too distant future.

This is a fantastic cottage set in the most beautiful surroundings.

It was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and we appreciated the tea, coffee and Barabrith cake , which had been left for us , our arrival . We will definitely be back for a longer stay one day. Thank you , Fiona and Damian

A fabulous week at Coed Bolyn Lodge.

Fantastic setting with stunning views, really comfortable lodge with everything we could want for a week stay. Gwyn and Sue were really friendly and helpful. The Lodge is in a great location to access lots of attractions - we went Rib Riding, Zip Wiring, visited National Trust properties, lots of walks (up hills and along beaches), visited the Sea Zoo and ate at some lovely places. We would recommend the Sea Shanty Cafe on Anglesey and The Swellies cafe in Y Felinheli for a cooked breakfast.

Fabulously situated cottage, stunning views, exceptionally clean & well appointed - in short the best holiday let we’ve stayed in.

The cottage was just perfect, lovely cosy place, spectacular views, lots of space indoor and outdoor, everything was spotless and the location was great.

It was unfortunate that several facilities and places of interest in north wales were closed as the easy of the lockdown in Wales is slower than in England for some strange reason. However, the proximity of the house to both Snowdonia Park and the Anglesey beaches, made our holiday a fantastic experience.

Cottage The cottage was great.

It was very well equipped with all that was needed for a home away from home. We were two families staying with two toddlers and one infant. The open plan living kitchen diner was perfect allowing us to cook while the children played. All being on the ground floor meant there was no problem with stair gates and no worry about letting the children play around the cottage. The garden was great for them to play in with plenty of birds around to keep their interest. While the weather was not warm enough for us to eat out, it would be a lovely setting for eating outside The view of the Snowdon and Glyder ranges is spectacular. Location. Great for the hills and the coast. Perfect for exploring all Snowdonia has to offer and very east to reach from main roads. Shops are a little distance away as is the nearest pub. Would definitely recommend this little gem.

The cottage had an interesting history which the owners were pleased to share with photographic and written information.

The views from the cottage are spectacular and the location is very good. Both Anglesey, the Lleyn peninsula as well as Snowdonia are within easy driving distance. There was plenty of information about place to visit. In fact I could have lived there as a permanent residence!

Cottage was lovely ,couldn't fault anything, the owners were also lovely made us feel very welcome, would definitely stay there again .

Tray in shower for toiletries would help, some heavier duty curtains to reduce light in bedrooms, some hooks on backs of doors for bathrobes etc.

Otherwise, this cottage is excellent all round with a stunning location

This was a lovely place to stay, the views were fantastic in all directions.

It was a perfect base to stay while visiting Snowdon, the National Slate Mine etc and much more including Anglesey and surrounding coast. The cottage had plenty of storage and the rooms were spacious. Also plenty of parking, as it was all on the ground floor without steps this made it ideal for my parents with their walkers. We would certainly stay again and may try and come back with our family to enjoy a walking holiday as well. Next time we would probably book a fortnights stay as it is such a good location for everything.

Great cottage in a perfect location

Absolutely superb cottage.

Excellent layout, very thoughtfully furnished and equipped. My second stay in this lovely location. Please don't ever change anything!

The cottage was perfectly clean, well equipped and had wonderful views to Snowdonia, although there were no near neighbours Caernarfon was only a short car journey away.

Nice cottage in great location.

Cleanliness was a bit of an issue. We were close to requesting cleaning service, but decided we didn't want the hassle (like pointing out where cleaning was necessary). Lots of bugs in middle bedroom. Strange unpleasant smell throughout the cottage. (Has someone applied a pesticide? There were lots of dead bugs along skirting boards in bedrooms...)

Cottage was excellent.

Spacious and clean. Location was excellent. BUT when you book a cottage that boasts 'smart TV' I think it is reasonable to expect that the internet connection is good enough to use it. The wifi signal did not cover the entire cottage. Purchasing a wifi extender (£25) or a PLA pair (£35) would solve that problem but it would not solve the 1mbs download speed. What really annoyed me is that FTTC broadband would be available at this cottage, at a guarranteed 25mbs minimum & up to 40 mbs. It would cost about £5 a week extra (unlimited downloads) over the poor adsl service they opted for....which is only enough to serve 1 user. The cottage sleeps 6.

Very comfortable in every way.

Peaceful location, but only minutes to amenities. Easy to get to Anglesey, Snowdonia, Llyn etc. Everything we needed was in the cottage, the attention to detail was excellent. Lovely to arrive to fresh flowers and a welcome tray after a long and stressful drive. Would be very happy to stay at Coed Boleyn Lodge again.

Just a very well laid out and clean property.

It had everything we needed. We never book properties where dogs are allowed for all sorts of reasons and so we were really pleased to find this very special place. The setting was very beautiful too.

The owners were very thoughtful, leaving plenty of instructions and recommendations and treats for us in the beginning. Overall we had a lovely stay in this amazing part of North Wales.

Nicely situated modern bungalow adapted from an old house.

Furnishings were comfortable and nicely done. The views are terrific but obscured by clouds and rain for most of our stay. After a discussion with the owner about safety precautions we were able to use the clothes dryer

Coed Bolyn Lodge is becoming a home from home for us as this was our third stay.

We love the peace and tranquility of the location as there are no neighbouring properties. Our only neigbours were the surrounding sheep and their lambs. The property is always spotlessly clean, bright, airy and tastefully furnished. We have visited Spring, Summer and Autumn and each stay has been wonderful.
