Overall we had a lovely stay, the garden is beautiful and peaceful.

We would love to stay again at some point. Parking is ok so long as you get close to the property. The cottage was clean and comfortable.

Loverly cottage pleasant setting with nice private garden.

Parking is tight on the verge outside with a large car at harvest time. Arrival time of 5 pm is quite late and departure time of 9 am early. The two armchairs are best used sitting on cushions and a microwave oven might have been helpful.

We had a lovely week, despite the variable weather.

The cottage is as described. The location is very quiet and secluded. Just the odd passing vehicle, mainly tractors. We had no real issue with parking despite having a fairly large car. There was plenty of kitchen/dining equipment. No TV was not a problem either, as there is decent WiFi if you need it. The garden was a peaceful retreat, with lots of birdsong, and a friendly robin. The only two criticisms would be a) the lack of blackout curtains or blinds on the windows. There were good blinds for the skylights though. This was summer and bright sunshine at 4am was a problem for sleeping and b) the uncomfortable sitting room chairs. It was quite uncomfortable if using for more than 20 minutes. The pretty early checkout time of 9am seems a bit rushed, so we left the preceding day. If you have children it may be a problem. However, this did not detract from a very lovely holiday.

Ffrwd Cottage was a lovely place to stay.

It was well equipped and we loved the fact there was no TV! The cottage has a cosy feel and was very comfortable. The garden was nicely maintained, very private and pleasant to sit out in. The local area was very quite and peaceful. A good place to get away from it all and not a million miles away from shops and amenities. We enjoyed a very peaceful, restful stay!

We enjoyed our stay but the parking issue was a problem.

We catch up with friends and family while on Anglesey and it wasn't possible to provide parking for any car but our own. (this was clear in the booking details but I didn't notice it. Also we left on Friday night as 9am is a very early leaving time)

We loved our stay in Ffrwd Cottage, it was clean and comfortable and really well equipped.

We had no problem parking and appreciated the peaceful surroundings and beautiful gardens with excellent beaches very nearby. Everything we needed was there, washing machine, heated airer (appreciated after wet walks!), brilliantly equipped kitchen and the cottage itself very cosy - we didn’t miss the tv and would definitely come again!

The cottage was fantastic.

A perfect place to get away form it all. The kids loved exploring the 2 gardens. It is exactly as described and we had no trouble with the parking at all. Already booked our next stay.

In need of a bit of maintenance!

Gardener arrived on the Tuesday but didn’t clear foliage from entrance path- we got wet when walking past as a result. Gate in need of repair- found card on bookcase from 3 months prior reporting this! Mould found on sheets and pillowcases as packing up. Reported to Sykes and no response received.

Lovely cottage.

Very comfortable,great gardens.Our dog loved it.Could have done with a microwave. A bit off the beaten track tho.Nowhere was in walking distance,so you would be lost without a car,but a very welcome break and would recommend to anyone without mobility issues.

Parking not a problem, but agree with others that it would be better if the back garden is made accessible for vehicles.

Have been there previously, so knew what to expect and the parking situation isn't an issue if you're a capable driver.

The facilities are very good, except for a microwave which would be useful. Very good radios, a small but eclectic range of books, and the visitor folder is very informative with just the right amount.

Cute little cottage on a country lane.

No TV, but nice to do without it for a week! Everything you could want was provided. Very clean & tidy. Only problems - The parking on the lane outside the property, which was tight, with large tractors frequently passing by. Also, the basin in the bathroom had the slowest hot water supply ever. We enjoyed the week though 10/10

A comfortable property in a beautiful part of the world.

The cottage suited my wife and I perfectly and our dog loved the two gardens. I needed to contact the owner with a brief question she was easy to contact ,friendly and helpful. We enjoy visiting Anglesey and do so a couple of times a year. We will happily revisit Ffrwd cottage should it be available on dates we wish to travel. Recommended.

No padlock on the side gate, No wood in in fire basket, spiders and cobwebs across the ceilings, spiders squashed on walls, Loud extractor fan in bathroom which you hear in bedroom, Twin bedroom needs to be changed around to give more room.

perhaps put beds either side of the door entrance so each bed has an exit to the middle of the room, Outside the overgrowth on the walled garden needs attention, caught my coat on brambles, the path has brambles and very slippy and uneven. Could do with a porch on the kitchen entrance to put wet boots and coats, if the side garden had part of it given over to a car parking area would be great, A very sweet little cottage, great location.

The cottage was idyllic, the garden was fantastic for our little pooch to run around in.

The only small negative was that after long days of walking it would have been great to come back to more comfortable seating.Overall we were very happy with the cottage and the housekeeper was super helpful providing us with tips on where to eat out, places to visit etc .

The cottage is a real gem.

It’s light and airy, well equipped and comfortable. The 2 gardens are surrounded by fields & open skies. Well chosen book collection & DAB radio

The cottage was perfect.

Exceptionally clean and well maintained with everything we could have ever needed. A perfect location to explore the beautiful island and coastline. A little gem. My only recommendation is comfier chairs by the fire but as it was summertime it wasn’t a problem. Beautiful natural garden and wonderfully peaceful.

The cottage was absolutely lovely and clean to a very high standard.

The cottage was very well equipped and came with lots of hidden extras. The kids played for hours in the garden with the kubbs game. Excited to book again for next year.

No hot water for the duration of the holiday reported it not fixed

Ffrwd is a really lovely cottage to stay in (very well equipped, including good reading matter, maps and walk books), with a lovely, peaceful garden.

We loved it! And Aberffraw on the doorstep as well as many other wonderful places. Thank you.

Ideal location to tour the island with the accommodation as described which is comfortable whilst retaining the original integrity of the cottage.

Only suggestion would be the addition of a small microwave oven plus if planning permission would allow adapt the side rear garden to introduce a car parking space.

Description said tv and no pets; however no tv and pets had been in property - issue was different description on hotels.

Had a fantastic holiday with autistic son who loved the peace & quiet of this cottage .

Enclosed garden was perfect and all the facilities were great .Parking not an issue .Will definitely be back

A beautiful, tranquil space, exceeding our expectations.

Really well equipped and a perfect base to unwind and explore the island. We would love to visit again and will recommend to our friends and family.

Fabulous little cottage, great dog secure garden (there's another lawned garden to the side of the property not shown on the pictures).

Wi-Fi was excellent, can use in the garden with no problems. Very clean and everything well thought out to maximise the space. No issues with parking, we even had our son come visit in his small van. We will definitely book again.

Skylight in bedroom could have curtain to keep dark in morning and possibly darker bedroom curtains.

Our daughter found the single bed uncomfortable. We liked the remote location, in spite of the large farm vehicles. Our dog liked the garden and fortunately did not explore too far in the vegetation that bordered the garden. We enjoyed our holiday.

Absolutely fantastic cottage, so cosy and clean with loads of facilities, books, games, help in the welcome book, only one draw back was you couldn't check in till 5pm and had to be out by 9am

Few things to feedback on 1 logs left for us 4 kindling 2 branches from garden !

! 2 Timing clock on heating not correct kept having to override to keep warm 3 Hot water very poor hardly enough for bath in evening 4 hot tap in bathroom trickles out 5 Wood burner was very poor ,does chimney need sweeping ? 6 only 2 comfort chairs and 3 table chairs to accommodate 4 !!! 7 not a very comfortable week all in all !

Ffrwd cottage is very sweet and has lots of character and a lovely garden.

We stayed for a week in January and the cottage was very cold. I found the lack of comfortable seating a bit difficult after a few days although the beds were very comfortable.

A lovely hideaway cottage, super garden which is safe as fully enclosed.

Thoughtfully renovated. Parking was as described however the volume and speed of traffic was quite unsettling at times.

A fabulous cottage, everything we needed and very warm and cosy.

Ffrwd Cottage is delightful.

Fabulous quiet rural location. Clean and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. Lovely garden to explore. 10 mins from the lovely Abberfraw beach, I really did not want to leave. Parking no problem at all. Have booked again for next year! Just fabulous!!

Ffrwd is a charming, quirky cottage in a very picturesque location.

It is very clean and well equipped. If you want peace and quiet and don't mind the tractors then this is the perfect base for exploring the island.

We had a fantastic stay here, very well equipped and great location for exploring all what Anglesey has to offer.

I was originally nervous about parking after reading s few comments about the tight space, but even with our big 4x4 it wasn't an issue at all. Lovely garden to enjoy too.

Ffrwd cottage is wonderful.

Although compact it has been carefully planned and furnished, and the garden is fabulous. I think there may be problems if there were more than 2 in the party as space is at a premium, but for us it was perfect. There is really is no problem with parking at all. We hadn't visited this part of Anglesey before, and it is stunning - particularly the dunes and beach at Aberffraw.

We felt under stress from the tractors each day virtually hitting the car as no space to park as stated- with no mention of tractors though-also whilst driving on very narrow lanes.

The cottage was smaller than it looked on the photos as often happens. The best thing was the open fire which made it cosy when able to work the heating as at first chilly. The house keeper was very kind and helpful once we spoke on the phone. We had check in at 5pm and officially leave at 9am due to extra covid cleaning- so all in all not very relaxing sorry to say. Anglesey is a lovely area though to visit if the weather is on your side, otherwise not much to do at all.

The location was very peaceful and local beaches are lovely only drawback the double bed is too low to get up and off so if elderly you might struggle also chairs a bit uncomfortable in lounge otherwise all fine.

The cottage was perfect, the owners have given real attention to detail, we had everything we needed and more.

Even though the house is on the road it’s still very peaceful as only amongst farmland. Would 100% recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxed holiday. Many thanks to the owners, we look forward to coming back!

Ffrwd cottage was a lovely little hideaway far from the madding crowd.

Ok, there were only two comfy chairs, no TV (we didn’t miss it) and no microwave due to small living area. However, there was a lot to enjoy such as the beautiful secluded garden among fields, barbecue outside, the wood burning stove which made it extra cosy and the owner kindly provided some logs (it was summer, but you could have thought otherwise due to the weather). The cottage was also really clean and nicely decorated and the beds very comfortable.

Such a cute cottage, and so well put together.

The small kitchen was very cleverly done with everything we needed, and the fabrics and furnishings were just perfect for the space. We used one of the deckchairs with a woolen throw over it, to create an extra chair, but our family of four always felt comfortable when relaxing in the cottage. It did rain a lot during our stay and I feel such an old cottage may have battled with damp weather, but it didn't affect our comfort. (The only down side was probably the wifi which was better than ours at home and we had remind our 11 son to talk to us every so often!) Some people had commented on the on road parking, but we had a VW transporter van which we always managed to tuck right into the wall, and never had any issues from the busy farmers and their large vehicles passing by. The cottage is beautifully presented adequately equipped and a very relaxing place to have as your Anglesey base. The nearest beaches are brilliant for children who like sand, and further round the coast there are plenty more to explore and enjoy.

The garden games were great for the children and we’ve discovered a new love of Kubb. Great to have a washing machine ( but more than 10 pegs would be good!) with 2 children and endless beach days.

Second time at the cottage and we will certainly be back!

The owners went out of their way to make sure they could accommodate our booking, really friendly and extremely helpful! And the cottage itself is gorgeous, really cosy and clean, with a kitchen that has everything you can think of. Perfect base for exploring Anglesey, and idyllic for cosy nights in front of the fire. This cottage was absolutely fantastic.

10/10 from me. It’s been mentioned elsewhere but just to reiterate, you do need to park responsibly and large vehicles may pose an issue at particular times of year as there are farm vehicles passing regularly.

Really lovely decor, garden, and perfect setting.

The silence was just what we needed. I took my two teenage children and cos there was no TV we talked, played games and read together. They would tell you that they would definitely go back. Thank you.

This is an enchanting cottage in a beautiful rural setting.

We found it to be a sweet little cottage tastefully decorated and furnished and wanting for nothing facilities wise.

We have just come back from a wonderful weeklong break at Ffrwd Cottage, and we will certainly be back!

Beautiful location, fab enclosed garden for canine friends, gorgeous cottage that has clearly been renovated to a high standard (the kitchen was amazing!), comfortable beds, and cosy woodburning stove. Perfect spot for exploring Anglesey. And a note on parking – this was NO problem whatsoever! We had already looked on street-view prior to our arrival so we knew what to expect, but other than reversing to and fro for a short time to get as close to the cottage as possible, pushing in wing mirrors, we had no issues. We even had our smallish Toyota Yaris as well as a large Toyota RAV SUV parked up outside at the same time, with tractors going past with ease (and sometimes surprisingly fast!). Please don't let the parking reviews put you off coming here, it's beautiful. Thank you so much to the owners for our wonderful stay :D

Very nice clean cottage and garden.

Only criticism is the car parking. The description says room for parking a car, although we questioned this with you after looking on Google earth we found the only space available was less than the width of our small Jazz car ! Fortunately we took traffic cones with us to place front and back of the vehicle together with the cottage rubbish bins . We were assured that this had never posed a problem as road was not busy however most days huge tractors pulling farm equipment had to slow down and rush hours many cars rushed by despite the cottage being located near a bend on the road. We think it would have been more honest to reveal this especially if customers have even slightly larger cars which we feel would be quite vulnerable to damage. Surprised owners have not made a simple parking run in into the side garden where there is already a shed. A microwave would also be handy as supplied with most other lets. Otherwise, it was a lovely cottage.

It was bliss to be without a TV for a week.

We loved this little cottage and our dog loved the garden, but we did wonder how guests with a larger car would manage to park safely. There is a good selection of reading material too.

We enjoyed it very much, but that was because there were only two of us.

Two adults and two children would be okay, but I wouldn’t recommend it to four adults to share, that’s why I lowered the ‘accuracy of the listing’ score. Otherwise, for the two of us, it was great.

Parking at this property is a problem as the photograph and information given leads one to believe that a proper parking space was available.

In fact, the photograph is of the back of the cottage and parking available is on a VERY narrow lane at the front. There is a large gap above the window in the twin bedded room and a consequent cold draught. The two 'armchairs' provided are totally inadequate and uncomfortable after a while. There needs to be at least two comfortable chairs in the living area not two old, small, cane ones as currently provided.

This is a gorgeous cottage.

Loved the location, very out of the way. The kitchen was very well equipped, which was nice as we love cooking. It was clean and comfortable. The only thing we would change would be to have a couple of more comfy easy chairs!

Excellent for its quiet location and simple traditional style.

Would recommend to friends/family. Only negative - the 'parking bay' was a little on the small size - would be difficult with larger car, but managed OK.
