“Had such a fantastic week at Carreg Rhys for our first wedding anniversary.”
After a very rough few months of you-know-what, a week in Paradwys (Paradise) was exactly what we needed.
The cottage is extremely well equipped (even has a slow cooker), homely, cosy and has stunning views of Snowdonia. From the terrace garden at the back of the farmhouse, you can see over the valley to the coast and Newborough Forest, 360 rolling countryside and the summit of Mount Snowden.
Fiona, Peter and family (and pets) were really welcoming and friendly. They gave us loads of great tips on places to eat and things to do and see in the area. We also found it to be a great spot for journeys to other parts of the island, door to door, it might have taken about 40 minutes to get to South Stack lighthouse and it’s nearby Neolithic village, for example.
We thoroughly enjoyed busy(ish) days out and about, walking on the beaches, coastal paths and through the forest, squirrel and bird spotting, then having long soaks in the hot-tub before a nice, relaxed evening with some good food in front of the log burner. Idyllic place for a break, you’ll be sorry if you don’t book it when you’ve got the chance.
