Partridge Cottage

Stayed at Partridge cottage for a week due to work commitments in North Wales and had a really pleasant stay.

It was very clean, well-maintained, and had everything you could possibly need for a comfortable visit. The space was cosy and welcoming, making it easy to relax after a long day. The Victoria sponge on arrival was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Overall, a great place to stay—would definitely recommend

Had a fantastic Christmas break at this cottage, great location, beautiful inside well equipped to cook the Christmas lunch, beds comfortable and we all slept like logs.

Lovely cottage in a nice peaceful position.

We were near enough to a road, which made getting around easy, but it was still quiet. The cottage was clean and warm. We didn't need to turn the radiators on, even though the weather was cool. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The chocolate cake and milk were much appreciated. Our only quibble was about the pillows, which were too soft. We feel that they need to be of better quality. But other than that, it was a really nice place to stay.

lovely accommodation, area beautiful a this house is a great spot for being able to visit all around.

I think a few games, jigsaws etc. would be handy if you have some poor weather, but a lovely spot if you want to get away from it all.

Fabulous decking area to sit out with a coffee to watch the horses in the field. Rupert and Bonnie are really friendly and welcoming and the delicious cake was much appreciated. Would definately recommend this cottage and hope to return soon.

Really comfortable accommodation.

Very peaceful and relaxing. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely cake on arrival. We both enjoyed walking Monty down the lane, particularly at night listening to the owls hooting.

Beautiful cottage and setting.

Perfect location to explore all of Anglesey. Loved our stay, the homemade cake was a lovely touch. We did request a cot and a highchair which were not provided and the stairs with a toddler are quite dangerous so just be mindful if you have little ones.

We stayed at Partridge Cottage to attend a family wedding.

The cottage was very comfortable and accommodated all our needs ( elderly parents and is) The milk and cake were greatly appreciated. The cottage is in a quiet position but very near to all in Anglesey. Plenty of parking outside. And everything you need inside to make a very comfy stay. We will be back!

We had a great stay at Partridge Cottage.

In particular we found the kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed. There was plenty of space and the cake was a lovely highlight. Check in and check out process was very easy. As others has mentioned the wifi is a bit slow, but this can't be helped and the purpose of my trip was to avoid anything requiring wifi anyway!

What a lovely property this is.

Nicely away from hustle and bustle peaceful in the countryside but close enough to tour Anglesey and the surrounding area. Very good instructions to find the property and how to access. We were left a nice cake and milk in the fridge on arrival which was nice touch from the hosts who were friendly. The accommodation was very good with everything you could need.living area was upstairs and spacious with a door to the balcony outside with space to sit at the table and chairs overlooking the fields. Downstairs with access via front door in the courtyard are 2 bedrooms with en suite to both. Nice easy walks with your dog down the lane. Definitely a property to return to .

Very quiet considering near busy road. Good accessability for all of Anglesey and North Wales.

We’ve now stayed in all three cottages and have been very happy with every one of them.

The location is perfect for exploring or just walking around the lanes. The owners are very friendly and ask if everything is ok. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed two years ago and it was just as comfortable and relaxing as last time, it's a lovely property.

To sum up Partridge Cottage in one word "Fantastic".

Everything about it was perfect, the location, the views, the design of the property, with the bedrooms on the ground floor meaning not having to drag cases upstairs, to the raised decked area outside the kitchen / living room door, with it's great views and sunshine pretty much all day long. Far enough from the road to be so peaceful and quiet at night and with plenty of space for the four of us and our four legged friend. Will definitely book this place again.

We love Partridge Cottage and this was the second time we’d stayed there.

The cottage is so warm and comfortable and has everything you need. Thank you for the cake, Easter chocolates for the children and milk. All very handy after a long journey! The cottage is in a great location for exploring and we had some fabulous walks at local beaches and in Snowdonia. My parents stayed next door in Teal Cottage which worked perfectly.

The cottage was really nice, it was well designed and well put together.

Upstairs is large with a good view, we enjoyed the balcony. I hadn't anticipated the noise from the road , although it wasn't too loud. The property was clean, there were lots of cobwebs, I needed to get rid of though. Our biggest problem were the beds, they were so uncomfortable, I didn't get a decent nights sleep all week. The mattresses need replacing they are too soft and lumpy. I ached everywhere We had no problems with the WiFi and streaming Netflix etc. The freezer door wasn't shutting properly and the freezer was running constantly until my husband fixed it. There had been some sort of leakage inside, which had frozen on the outside of one of the drawers which stopped the door closing . We had difficulty finding the farm as had our neighbours. The directions took us to an older entrance. A bigger sign outside Wern farm would help. The farm is lovely and its a really nice set-up for family holidays. We were never disturbed by the farm activity . If it were not for the beds we would return, but I couldn't cope with them again

Although the barn conversion is lovely (upstairs kitchen/living room nice and works well), and the beds were very comfortable, what lets this place down is internet access.

The WiFi access to any internet, let alone broadband is terrible. We are talking dial-up 1990's internet speed here. If you want to be able to stream video on your phone or any platform you won't be able to. You'll struggle to load thumbnails of apps like iPlayer or Netflix let alone play the movies. Even reading BBC news on their site is slow to. If you want to work and download/upload files from e-mail or any cloud, you'll be frustrated. I wasn't able to do any of the above throughout my entire stay even in the middle of the night without competition from neighbouring lets on site. If you want any of the above (especially kids that like to use their ipads, which I guess is most of you), I suggest you look elsewhere.

Lovely cottage, loved the balcony and shared space at the back.

Great location. Very well appointed, could do with a long handled broom to allow guests to sweep. Also, it would be fair to mention the stairs are steeper than normal in the web description. These were a struggle for my older parents and the only reason I would not recommend to all.

Lovely cottage however the location was poor.

The description a stones throw from Red Wharf is only accurate if you can throw a stone four miles. The road to Menai is fast and has no footpath so in unsafe to walk. You have to drive everywhere which impacts pub lunches or evening meals. The private outdoor space was the balcony there was no private garden to let your dog run in contrary to what the description suggested. Despite the above, the farm tracks were great for daily dog walking and views of the countryside. We felt misled by the location description and would have liked somewhere closer to facilities or beaches.

Excellent standard throughout - property couldn't be faulted.

The setting was extremely attractive and the walks around the farm pleasant and safe.

Super holiday, lovely surroundings and a great base for exploring Anglesey and Snowdonia.

Everything you need at the cottage within a super barn conversion. Owners very friendly and around and about if you needed them but not at all intrusive. Fabulously relaxing holiday.

What a lovely week we had at Partridge Cottage.

From the moment we pulled up outside we were made to feel more than welcome. The most perfect setting with views across the countryside. Just amazing. The cottage had everything we needed and things we weren’t. Hairdryer, iron, ironing board. All the necessities. Thank you for the lovely home baked Victoria sponge that was waiting for us on our arrival.

Had a lovely week ideal areas for walking the dog in the morning very relaxing would definitely recommend

Walk from front door into surrounding fields for our spaniel and decking / lawn area to sit in the sun in the evenings relaxing after a long day coastal walking. Would definitely recommend

Superb location and a great barn conversion.

Only issue was the mattresses, far too soft for us all. Would have given 5 stars if they were OK. Will book again for later this year but will find out first if they have been changed!!

Absolutely fabulous, perfect for the kids and the dog.

Superbly located to all amenities and to the beaches of Anglesey. Just booking a return trip now. A couple of additions that would be welcomed, a dust pan and brush and the ability to access Netflix and Prime Accounts (handy for the kids!).

We loved our stay at Partridge Cottage!

The grounds were great for early morning dog walks and we loved seeing the horses in the field behind. The kitchen and living area are lovely. The only thing which could’ve been better was a firmer mattress. Also the back door is pretty tough to get in and out of due to a sticky lock. Otherwise no complaints at all :)

Purely personal, would have preferred a king size bed.

Superb accommodation fantastic location

This holiday was great, lots to do around the location.

A baby gate for small children that fits the stairs gap made would make it such a less stressful holiday. We did take one but the gap is smaller than the average stair gate size. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A lovely family cottage, however no access to a washing machine did make a difference when you have two young children.

Gorgeous cottage, perfect location!

It’s a lovely, well equipped cottage, handy for Menai bridge but set within a farm and countryside.

We were blessed with good weather and made the most of Anglesey’s wonderful beaches at Aberffraw and Newborough.

A very comfortable cottage in a lovely location.

The only problem the main road is very close to the cottage and when sat outside you could hear the noise of the traffic .
