    “Teal cottage is lovely, it’s a very nice space and very well laid out.”

    However, the sofas had been heavily sprayed with something like febreze, so much so if you sat on them the smell stayed on your clothes. The bedrooms, again lovely but full of spiders and dusty cobwebs, so much so I had to clean them away to feel clean. The bedding was washed in forever chemicals that smelt extremely strong and unhealthy.

The property

This renovated stone barn at Wern Farm has been completed to a high standard, offering a lovely space to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The “upside down” holiday cottage offers comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor and a bright and airy opened plan living area upstairs, making the most of the views over the Anglesey countryside. "Each cottage in this lovely barn conversion is perfectly designed to provide space, comfort and relaxation." Located in a fantastic spot, on the south east corner of Anglesey, there is so much to do on your doorstep.

The popular seaside town of Menai Bridge is six miles in one direction and Red Wharf Bay the same in the other direction.

You are therefore close to shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as lovely sandy beaches.

However, if you did just wish to put your feet up and relax you couldn’t ask more of this peaceful location. Teal is one of 3 cottages with its own exterior space.

The cottages can be booked individually but also offer an ideal solution for friends and family wanting to holiday together while staying in separate accommodation. Partridge Cottage also sleeps 4 and Mulberry Cottage sleeps 6.

About the location

MENAI BRIDGE

Llanfairpwllgwyngyll 2 miles; Bangor 2.5 miles; Beaumaris 4.5 miles; Caernarfon 8 miles.

This delightful town sits right on the edge of the Isle of Anglesey and is home to one of two bridges to mainland Wales. It is an ideal base for a holiday and is great for exploring this beautiful island. It has a strong history which can be discovered in the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum, the well known Saint Tysilio lived on Church Island, just off of Anglesey in the 7th century, hence the name of the 15th century St. Tysilio's Church. Menai Bridge itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. In terms of entertainment, this is an ideal spot with something for everybody, there is the butterfly palace 'Pili Palas' which is incredibly popular with families, as well as the astounding Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens well worth a walk around. The Snowdonia National Park is within driving distance for you outdoor enthusiasts, it has wonderful walking, cycling and opportunities to see some beautiful sights. Nearer to the town, there are some incredible places including the popular towns of Beaumaris and Caernarfon with their majestic castles and much more to do.
