Teal Cottage

We had a great stay at Teal Cottage.

It’s in an ideal position for visiting both Anglesey and the Snowdonia region. We really appreciated the quiet surroundings, the easy parking, the living and kitchen space areas and the comfortable bedrooms - it was useful to have ensuite facilities for both bedrooms. The owners were very helpful.

The location is beautiful and relaxing.

Home from home, was equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and be revisiting.

First impressions were formed by the front door, which is in need of a coat of paint.

Upstairs layout is very good but cottage wasn't decorated for Christmas/New Year which we had anticipated, all the more strange as both adjoining cottages were. Both oven and log burner were left uncleaned from past use. Chipped, limited mugs/cups. Downstairs was ok bar from extremely low water pressure for the showers and awful single mattresses, double though was fine. Location is good for getting around.

Lovely cottage in a quiet rural location with great views.

Very spacious living room and kitchen which was also well equipped. Fast WIFI. Two ensuites always a bonus. Double bed could do with a larger duvet but mattress and pillows comfortable. Overall Highly Recommended.

Everything good, location good and directions short, but accurate.

We do look for strong shower facilities, but otherwise excellent. Would recommend the nearby NT property interesting Whistler mural. Also a trip through Holyhead to South Stack for a cliff walk and RSPB lookout worth exploring. enjoyed the castles in the locality too. With more time would have ventured more into Snowdonia too.

A beautiful, clean and warm , cosy cottage.

It had everything that you needed and was in a perfect location for touring around Anglesey and North Wales . Would definitely recommend it and hope to return soon.

The property was very comfortable, very clean and nicely furnished- in a lovely country setting.

No real gripes but I was disappointed there was no washing machine. Instead there was a dishwasher but not enough cups/ mugs to warrant using it. I think there were 6 odd cups, one badly chipped and 4 teaspoons.Otherwise the kitchen was well- equipped. In my opinion, a washing machine would have borne more practical than a dishwasher.

The property is a superb high end conversion and very comfortable and very well equipped.

Two very minor things, a breadbin and tray would have been useful. It was our first experience of using Sykes cottages and a very positive one.

We had a wonderful stay in Teal Cottage over Easter, lovely little cottage with everything we needed to enjoy our stay in a beautiful location and great base for exploring the area.

The owners are very hospitable and were on hand to answer questions before and during our stay. Highly recommend! Thank you :)

A lovely cottage in a great location.

The facilities were excellent including two ensuites and a large ,very well resourced kitchen. It also had quality fittings and furniture.We will definitely stay there again.The cake left for us on arrival was delicious and the fact we had to arrive very late was no problem ,thank you !

Lovely, comfortable and well equipped cottage.

We stayed in Partridge cottage in June this year and Teal cottage is equally as excellent.

Comfortable, quiet and has everything you need for a great holiday on Anglesey. Really good for your four legged friends too, as there are some lovely walks around Wern Farm. We will definitely be back next year.

Beautiful cottage, ideal location for exploring the island!

This is a lovely, bright and airy cottage in a lovely quiet location well positioned for access to most areas and it is a credit to its's owners (Rupert & Bonny).

The weather did let us down a bit, but even crabbing on Beaumaris pier in the pouring rain was not enough to deter us from having an ice cream in the downpour :)

We had a great few days, the cottage is very comfortable and in a lovely setting.

We were very lucky with the weather so made a lot of use of the balcony area outside. We found the welcome cake and milk in the fridge upon arrival a nice touch and much appreciated. Thankyou.

This was our fourth time in 3 years visiting Teal Cottage.

We thoroughly enjoy the cottage which provides a relaxing retreat after a busy day out and provides wonderful evening sunsets.Rupert and Bonny are very friendly and obliging hosts. The cottage is well presented and very clean is fully equipped. It is an upside down layout and the views of Snowdonia from upstairs are truly inspiring. Our dog has plenty of safe space in which to excercise.. We cannot fault the setting, the facilities or the hosts which all make for a wonderful Yns Mon vacation. We look forward to returning again sometime in 2025 Kath and Rob

Better than i expected, fantastic location near to the town.

Beautiful and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is nice , but missing a washing machine, freeview and maybe some games for when the weather isn’t very good.

We only had three nights in Teal Cottage but loved every minute of it and already talking about when we'll go back.

It was very comfortable and the hosts were super friendly. We felt that a small hoover would have helped as we had a dog and needed to clean up which was difficult with only a brush and pan .

We've loved our stay.

Very peaceful. The owners are onsite if you need assistance but leave you to enjoy your holiday. We wouldn't change a thing and would absolutely recommend this location and accommodation

The cottage was beautiful and well set out. It was a home from home. Great location for visiting all the attractions in North Wales. Can certainly recomend Teal Cottage to anyone wanting a nice relaxed holiday in the area.

Third visit to Teal Cottage (twice in 2022).

Always enjoyable and relaxing stay. Ideal location for getting around the island. Friendly owners on hand if needed otherwise you are left to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you Bonny and Rupert

Teal cottage is beautiful & the views are wonderful.

Being older guests we found the stairs up from the front door to the lounge & kitchen a little difficult as they turn 180 degrees hence the treads are smaller & higher than normal. If a hand rail could be fitted it would be safer. The cottage is well equipped & provides a relaxed environment & a good location for all of Anglesey & North Wales.

A well equipped and presented property.

Superb location overlooking countryside and delightfully quiet. Well located and just a short drive to Menai Bridge. Loved the upside down layout with the living/dining and kitchen upstairs and the two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor. The welcome chocolate cake was much appreciated and delicious! We would definitely stay there again in the future.

Teal Cottage was absolutely beautiful!

Upon arriving greeted with china tea service laid for tea and a very tasty chocolate cream cake! Set in peaceful surroundings. The owners were on hand if needed but not intrusive! Very clean and cosy cottage with all you could wish for! Great balcony to sit and take in the view and watch the sun setting! Loved the location, not too far from Menai and within easy distance to visiting other parts of the island! Could NOT FAULT Teal Cottage, Wern Farm and its delightful owners!! Thanks for a very chilled and relaxing stay...just what I needed!! Perfection!!

We had a fabulous stay at Teal Cottage.

It is a beautiful cottage with Mountain Views on one side and green fields on the other. When we arrived there were Easter eggs on the beds and tea and cake waiting for us, which was a really lovely touch. The kitchen is really well equipped with decent glassware (unlike other places we have stayed). It is really well positioned for days out around Anglesey and Snowdonia and there is a lovely circular dog walk from the front door. Our girls were really pleased to have their own en suite! The wood burner was great and everything was really clean. The only minor thing is the beds weren’t very comfy, but we realised there was an issue with the bed legs about half way through which made it a bit better & will hopefully have been fixed by now. We would definitely recommend this cottage,

We absolutely loved our stay at Teal Cottage.

We brought our disabled son, his assistance dog and our dog. The owners were contactable if needed and very friendly and helpful if we bumped into them on site. The cottage was extremely clean and tastefully decorated. Very private with lovely walks around it. Our dogs are tiny chihuahuas so they couldn’t cope with the stairs but that wasn’t a problem as we just carried them and could keep them on the floor we were on. The only suggestion would be to have a king or superking bed in the main bedroom. We have been used to our superking at home so I ended up sleeping in one of the twins as it was a little odd for us to sleep in a double. That really is the only suggestion as it was a wonderful stay and perfect location. Hosts are kind and even catered for my disabilities aswell as my son’s. Lovely people. We will probably book all three properties in the future so our extended family can stay. That would be perfect!

What an amazing find Owners were there of we needed them but not intrusive Property was stunning and everything we needed was included It really was a home from home Lovely cake left as as welcome for we arrived Plenty of areas to walk the dog Close to Menai for local shops and Waitrose and close Bangor.

We really loved the cottage which was ideally located for easy access and egress from the island aswell as a base for touring around.

The large parking area was great and it was so very peaceful despite being approx 1/2 mile from a B road. There is a staircase leading up to the first floor from the rear and inside which could cause orobkens if dogs have mobility issues. The owners left us in peace but were available if required but we did not need anything. There was a welcome cream cake and a pint if milk which was a lovely touch. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms very nice. We would/will definitely return and highly recommend the cotrage(s).

Back for a second time this year.

Enjoyed Teal Cottage just as much as the first time in April, we had fantastic warm Sunny weather for the 8 days and look forward to returning sometime in 2023 Kath

Teal Cottage is beautiful high standard Kitchen/Living Area had an amazing time.

Only 1 little tiny thing the Beds although very comfy really squeak

The property was as described, I was little concerned there would be a secure area for the dog and there was.

Lovely area around the house to walk him as well. A bbq area would be a nice.

Teal Cottage was brilliant.

It was clean and very comfortable. It really was very relaxing. The photos are a true reflection of the property. There was somewhere to walk the dogs. We appreciated the recycling bins. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were available on arrival plus a tasty cake. We loved the upside down layout with lovely views from the balcony. It was warm, spacious and comfortable even with the open plan kitchen, dining and lounge.

We stayed for weekend with our dog and it was a great location to base ourselves from. Very spacious and cosy.

Really enjoyed the stay and look forward to returning to Teal Cottage.

Lovely property.

Spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy even when snowing outside. Lovely field for spaniel to have a run in. Near to beaches, very convenient. Would definitely stay again

Biggest issue with the cottage was the mattresses, all three were extremely soft cheap open coil ones, no comfort or support at all, also the main bed was only a double when these days you expect a king or even super king size.

Otherwise a nice cottage set in pleasant countryside although the close proximity to the main road might be annoying in the summer months when sitting outside.

Fantastic stay at Teal cottage.

Great location and the cottage is beautiful, we’ll definitely be back.

This cottage was listed and priced at the high end of the market but was fairly bog standard in the end.

It was a shame because we stayed there a few years back and it was much better kept and much cleaner.

Just one issue was with the master bed found hard to sleep with the bed creeking apart from that was a very nice place and would highly recommend.

So many beautiful beaches to visit. The owners are friendly but discreet - highly recommended.

Lovely accommodation very accessible to everywhere on Anglesey and only a short distance to both bridges and major roads.

Nice outdoor space with patio table and chairs on first floor decking and grass areas all around. Great parking. Only downside if really picky is the lack of a wardrobe in the twin room. Would definitely recommend.

Of the many places we have stayed in Anglesey, this is without doubt the best.

Great layout, fabulous sunsets and peacfully quiet. A washing machine would make it perfect.

Lovely property, spacious, modern, quality fittings and furnishings , lovely decor.

Quiet location in beautiful location and very obliging and friendly owners.Only small problem is access road a bit bumpy, but it is a farm afterall !

Lovely cottage in barn conversion in rural setting.

The property was well equipped and tastefully decorated throughout. Lovely raised deck with view over the fields to the rear. Great base to explore the island with great access to the beaches and towns.

Accommodation was excellent.

The views from the cottage were very good as stated in the description but the road noise was very intrusive when sitting outside. Laundry facilities would have been useful too but overall a high class property in a good location.
