A lovely house, more than enough space for 9 of us, a second living room we didn’t even use.

This is a beautiful cottage, exceptionally clean and well maintained.

This was our 4th stay at Hen Gilfach.

3 families (6 adults and 6 children). Plenty of space for all of us to enjoy a great week. As before, everything was brilliant with no issues. We will be returning next year.

We all had an amazing time staying at Hengilfach.

Everywhere was spotless and the décor is delightful. The beds were so comfortable...not slept so well for a long time...and the bedding is of excellent quality. Really enjoyed using the hot tub, (which was very clean and warm), and looking out over the sea. It is such a peaceful place to stay. We will definitely be returning.

What an amazing property from start to finish everything was just perfect especially the hot tub.

What a treat in this cold weather. The house was so well equipped there was nothing we needed that wasn't there. The beds were all so comfortable with lovely bedding. It was great to have two lounges too, somewhere to escape to when the grandkids get to excited. They also enjoyed the toy box with lots of different toys to play with. Tracy was great when we had to ask about where we could charge our electric cars, nothing was to much trouble. I would definitely not hesitate to rebook this property. All of the family loved it.

Having booked to include a disabled family member, finding several lots of steps on the ground floor proved extremely difficult.

Mention of this in the description would have proved beneficial, as we would not have booked. The house itself was clean and comfortable, and we had a very enjoyable time apart from this. The children loved the garden to play in.

Hen Gilfach was a great holiday property.

It is in a fabulous rural location and provided a great base for exploring Anglesey. The cottage itself was very well equipped (for example, a big freezer and two fridges which was perfect for a group of 11), beautifully maintained, and the hot tub was an added bonus (with a fabulous view). Tracy was very responsive to any queries we had. We were sad to leave such a peaceful spot. Thank you!

Wow, wow ,wow.

Hen Gilfach exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful. Well equipped for 6 adults, 1 teenager and 2 young children. The decor was delightful, the scenery outstanding and the hot tub a treat at the end of the day. There were plenty of gorgeous beaches within an easy drive from the property. We would highly recommend staying here. Tracey was availble, friendly and helped with any queries. We would definitely stay here again as frequent visitors to Anglesey.

Amazing stay for our family, ranging from 3 years old - 92 years old!

Hen Gilfach had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Enough space for everyone to enjoy relaxing, family meals, games in the garden and of course the hot tub with amazing views. Many things to do nearby, Anglesey Coastal Path a favourite of ours. Only thing we could recommend for future guests is there are a couple of steps on the ground floor level to ground floor bedrooms and kitchen area which our 92 year old Grandad struggled with at times. Overall an amazing stay and we look forward to staying again soon!

Quiet and secluded with fabulous views.

Hengilfach is a lovely property with fantastic views and sunsets.

Our family of 11 from 4 years to 70 years enjoyed the garden and the hot tub every day. The house is comfortable and homely with plenty of space for all the family. Good location for walking and exploring the island. Thanks, we will be back.

Stayed here over Christmas with the family, what a treat, clean, beds and comfy, plenty of space, kitchen well stocked, tracy was a fabulous host, even taking our paper recycling for us, only tiny issue were the outside lights not working but didnt cause any issues for us but could if needed to get anything from cars, hot tub was lovely but a bit cold so only managed to use it the once but when we did it was stunning with the views to, wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future when all the family get together, absolutely delightful place

An excellent 2 weeks.

Our party ranged from 3 months to 84 years of age.

We had an amazing holiday in this lovely holiday cottage. We had plenty of evenings in the hot tub relaxing after a hard day at the beach. The views were spectacular from the hot tub. The bedrooms were big and comfy after a long day. We had lovely evenings playing games in the front room. If you have teenagers the upstairs living room is ideal. The owners are friendly. helpful and available if you need anything. I would definitely recommend Hen Gilfach for large family gatherings.

Beautifully decorated, very comfortable converted barn, suited our 3 family combination very well.

The children especially loved the hot tub, but the adults enjoyed it too! The garden was great for the little ones to run around in and the view was superb. We would book this again.

The views are absolutely stunning, and the hot tub is a perfect spot to relax while soaking it all in. The garden is spacious and perfect for the kids to run around and play. The house itself is so well-stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the beds are incredibly comfy! Can't recommend this place enough for a relaxing getaway.

The property owner, Tracy, is lovely and was happy to answer any questions by text or phone.

The house is delightful with wonderful views and everything we needed as a family group of 11 from 7 to 60. The hot tub was well worth the extra and lots of fun was had by all. We would definitely book again.

Despite being a well presented property in am amazing lication it is not suitable for families with babies in arms, toddlers or teen boys.

Too many breakables for small children and fussy accessories to keep out of the way of active children. The hot tub and upstairs sitting room were a huge benefit for the young adults and older children. Garden while lovely not safe/suitable for toddlers. Kitchen well stocked but surprisingly no oven gloves which led to burnt fingers and an accident! The owner was not sympathetic! It is a shame that our holiday was marred by the failure to amicably agree with the owners over accidental breakages which we are more than willing to recompense them for where liability was accepted.

We loved staying in Hen Gilfach.

There was plenty of space for family and friends. It was very cosy staying in the house when the weather didn’t allow us to be outside. Beautiful spot and so peaceful with see views of such a lovely part of the island. There had been a little problem with the boiler, which was a little smelly but Tracey did her best to solve this so we could stay. Many thanks and would love to come back!

The property owner met us on arrival and was extremely helpful and attentive.

It was spacious and the children loved they had their own living room. Kitchen had everything you need and bedrooms where big. Very clear and would come.back

*Positives* Gorgeous location the views were amazing.

The house is well equipped and plenty of room for a large group of people. The grandchildren loved the garden and play area and the hot tub was a huge hit for all of us. The BBQ isn't built in as it suggests but we did have a BBQ on a good weather day with the small stand alone BBQ provided. It was a lovely base for lots of laughs and the niggles were soon forgotten and we had a lovely family holiday. * Niggles * This was a group family holiday for a 60th birthday celebration. We had a disappointing start as the narrow track to the house has a huge lip on it at the top of the lane which scraped the bottom of the car. You ideally need a 4 X 4 or a higher car than ours is. There was no little welcome pack not even a bottle of milk which after a long drive we were gasping for a cuppa. We had only been given one towel each when we needed a bath and hand towel each. (Tracy brought more to us once we asked. ) The dishwasher was out of action and due to be repaired on the Monday but actually didn't get sorted until the Thursday. (Unforseen circumstance so not the owners fault) The hob had 6 rings but only two working but once reported Tracy was very quick to respond and sort it as best as she could. And brought cakes as an apology so the niggles were acted upon thank you for that. The listing said hot tub AND swim spa...but there was only a hot tub. You couldn't swim in the hot tub *Suggestions* Have a recycling box at the property to make it easier to carry it to the collection point at the top of the hill. Ensure a welcome pack is provided with a few teabags, coffee sachets, milk and sugar at the very least. A welcome " book" would be useful with instructions for the house amenities. Suggestions on where to go for milk and bread if needed. We found the coffee shop that was also a hairdressers and post office but only by asking a local otherwise it is a long trek to Holyhead. *Summary " Having said all this we had a wonderful holiday, a chance to be together and catch up , and we would still recommend this regardless. Tracy was very helpful in resolving our concerns.Lots to see and do. The boat trips from Beaumaris were enjoyable. Puffin island and the bridges was good (though not always puffin season)! Beaumaris castle and town, Anglesey sea zoo was well worth it , Church Bay had a lovely little beach very close by, and we enjoyed the coastal walks. (A partial refund as a gesture of goodwill would be nice for the niggles reported)

Location lovely and quiet with great views

The property was very spacious and had a lovely view.

The outdoor space was great and the play area was a good addition for our daughter. The kitchen was well equipped however, could benefit from a few smaller pans. The beach at Church Bay was a short drive away and well worth a visit on a sunny day. Overall a great base for exploring the surrounding areas.

House beautifully presented throughout and the hot tub was enjoyed by all. The beaches nearby were very good. One of the best holiday homes I have stayed in, our families had a wonderful holiday. Would highly recommend.

Our stay at Hen Gilfach was superb - we had everything we needed and every room was clean and well-furnished.

As we had amazing sunny weather, we made good use of the outside sitting and garden area. The hot tub was enjoyed by all - age range 10 to 75! Thank you :-)

Lovely holiday home, fantastic view from the amazing large hot tub.

Anglesey beaches were beautiful and surprisingly very little traffic for end of July. The house suited the whole family from ages 4 up to 70 years. We had a delivery of food from Asda when we arrived and topped up from supermarket later in week at Almwich 6 miles away as no local shops. Would definitely return.

Nice property, well fitted out. Quite a good location with fabulous views, short drive from several beaches. The garden is great for kids if you're lucky with the weather as we were. The large hot tub was very good. We had a small problem during our stay that was not entirely the owners fault - quickly resolved when reported.

The cottage was beautiful if a little remote.

Only concern was that our car ( standard Ford Focus ) kept bottoming out every time we came into or out of the lane by the bins. There is quite a drop off the road onto the lane. The hot tub was amazing!!

We had such a fabulous Easter here.

The property is situated in the most stunning and unspoilt area with knock out views. The house was very well equipped and cosy. The owner is also close by to help with anything. The upstairs lounge made a great place for the kids to takeover away from the adults :-) The hottub is huge and acted like a swimming pool for the little ones. We would love to come back here ASAP.

We had a fantastic stay. The teens loved the hot tub, and we all enjoyed beautiful coastal walks direct from the front door.

We have just enjoyed a fabulous weekend at Hen Gilfach.

Everyone left feeling very chilled and relaxed which was certainly helped by the comfort offered by the house. Amenities were excellent- we wanted for nothing. The hot tub was a delight. Combine all this with the amazing views and superb company we couldn't have asked for more. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful responding quickly to our one query........ All in all a perfect weekend shared by a group of female friends celebrating all the things we have been unable to celebrate these last couple of years. There will certainly be return visits!!

What a super cottage!

We’d stayed at Hen Gilfach 10 years ago and loved it so much we decided to return. The addition of the en-suite to the downstairs King size bedroom and the 10 seater hot tub were massive plus points! We go away every year as a group of friends and this was the best hot tub we’ve had in over 10 years. Cottage was exceptionally clean, everything that we needed (there’s even a blender and 3 tier steamer in the kitchen!) All beds were comfy. Cottage even has a selection of board games, books and DVDs. The only very minor thing is that there’s only an under the counter fridge and a table top one - not really enough room if it’s all adults staying and there’s Prosecco & lager to chill ;-). But this is very very minor and didn’t detract from a great weekend away. Thanks for such a great place!

Tracy’s place was amazing clean and so quirky car needed to go to pubs shops etc but not an issue.

Everything you need in the kitchen the hot tub was fab so special a specially when lit up at night . Tracy responded quickly to any questions we had

Wonderful property in a tranquil location.

Family of eight stayed at this cottage from toddlers to grandparents and had a great holiday. Facilities and the layout are perfect for two family's with ground floor having a shower room servicing the two ground floor bedrooms of which one also has an en-suite. The first floor has an extremely large family bathroom which services the remaining three first floor bedrooms. Also this property has a brilliant outdoor space for the children to play with slide, swing and hob tub to keep them occupied. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The house was great,gardens are good and the hot tub has great views.

It is in a rather remote location,15-20 minutes from a main road.The directions from the owner are spot on and you need to follow them to the letter,a lot of the roads are single track so you need to look out for vehicles coming towards you. Overall a great stay..

The place is beautiful with amazing views and there were lots of board games and a massive collection of DVDs. I personally really appreciated the coffee, because we forgot to bring our own! And also the bottle of wine! Loved it!

Fabulous hidden away holiday house.

Great outdoor space for the children and a lovely hot tub. The children also loved the dolls house’. Very good facilities and decorated to a high standard.

We had a lovely time at the cottage and there were so much things to entertain the kids - the outside play area, the doll's house and the hot tub of course.

We were disappointed that the previous guest had damaged the hot tub, but we could still sit in it as it was still warm and relaxing. We were given compensation for this. The location was lovely and the views were amazing. We thought that the cottage however had not been cleaned to the best of standard (given that cleanliness is so important now with threat of covid 19). There were drinks leftover in the fridge, and the bbq had not been cleaned. Having said this, we would return and we had a lovely holiday.

The facilities were of a high quality, would be nice to have an intergreated fridge freezer and an dryer. But that just a personal view as property was very well equipped and owner Tracey was lovely and on hand if needed

A little slice of heaven!

The house was absolutely beautiful, the views simply stunning, the hot tub huge! Everything we could possibly have needed was supplied, including wine and chocolates on arrival! We will definitely be returning!

Everything was just as portrayed online with the added bonus of toys and dollhouses for the children.

Nothing had been overlooked and every eventuality had been catered for. The kitchen was well equipped and the whole house was beautifully decorated and maintained. The hot tub was amazing and checked daily by the owner to ensure it was working properly and was santised correctly. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive owners. We received a lovely welcome pack of wine and chocolates, a card and fresh flowers from the garden. We were a group of 10 (6 adults and 4 small children) it was our first holiday since before lockdown and was definitely just what the Dr ordered! We are already talking about a return trip to this beautiful holiday home!! Thoroughly recommend!!

Could not recommend this place enough!

10 adults comfortably stayed here and we had 5 cars which fit perfect! The hot tub is amazing with the most beautiful views! Very clean and welcoming, towels for shower and hot tub available! Only down side was the road access! we did have 5 lowered cars but didn’t ruin our holiday at all because it was just stunning!! Thank you for making our three day stay great!

We loved the location and the fantastic open views from the hot tub.

Plenty of space outside for the kids to run about. Also, the accommodation was spacious and well laid out. Very comfortable.

We have just returned from the most amazing family holiday at Hen Gilfach!

The place completely exceeded all expectations. Amenities were amazing, the place was spotless and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake. The children loved all of the toys, books and DVDs! And Church Bay is just glorious! Views to die for. We ate already looking at booking again! I can not recommend this place enough! It was just out of this world!

The cottage was decorated to a very high standard, fixtures and fittings were beautiful.

They had everything you required and my guests thoroughly enjoyed staying there. A few downsides. The smell outside was constant for the whole of our stay (don't know if it was the septic tank). The bottom step (flagstone) into the cottage needs fixing/concreting into place, as my elderly aunt nearly had a fall, as it wobbled. The quilts (although beautiful) were too warm and could possibly be changed for lighter ones in summer months.

My family and I had a great time at Hen Gilfach at the end of June this year.

This lovely house was the perfect fit for our family get together, with ages ranging from 6 months to 94 years. Fortunately the weather was mostly dry and sunny, but had it not been Tracy had supplied plenty of books, DVDs and board games to entertain us. The play area outside and the bedroom with a dolls house and toys were loved by my granddaughter and last but not least, the hot tub was amazing and had gorgeous views of the countryside and sea beyond. We were sad to leave!

Wonderful property with excellent facilities.

It was secluded and the perfect setting for a week away. We were able to explore beautiful Anglesey and return home for relaxing evenings the hot tub was a bonus! We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again soon.

Would be 5 but for the very bumpy track to the apartment and the fact that it is advertised as a peaceful location which it is until families in the 5 bedrooms barn located close by enjoy their holiday.

We couldn't relax outside as we felt we were overlooking them whilst admiring the views and the noise of children playing broke the peace. Feel that this needs to be made clearer, as lovely as the Stable is we would not of booked.

Attractive photos presented by Menai Holiday unfortunately the reality was different.

The downstairs two bedrooms had a damp fungus smell. One of the bedroom was particularly very bad as the mould was all over the window, with black dirt, dust and cobweb so our little one had to move upstairs due to her asthma. There is a serious luck of lighting in the downstairs shower room. Again mould all behind the sink, shower cubical, tiles which clearly is not being dealt with. I could provide photos but I do not want to completely put people off. I sincerely hope it will be dealt with as Menai Holiday and the owner have been informed. Kitchen again very bad lighting and flickering little ceiling light. So cooking during a date is fine but if you come to the cottage later on you seriously find it difficult. The dirt track which leads to a house was particularly bad! We have been to many places all over the Wales and Anglesey but that was something one off. (we have 4x4) the view is lovely if you have the weather to sit outside but it does not have a lovely maintain feel around the property. Our children were looking forward to using the outdoor play area which was not there( no one informed us about it) There will be a new one being build. For £1200 per week we certainly did not feel it was worth of money. We believe you get what you pay but that's was not the case. From our view we would not go back and not recommend it to our friends even thought we still had a great time as we try to blank it all.

Beautiful cottage, well equipped and fantastic location

Cottage was great but lane leading to it left a lot to be desired.

Sports suspension and low profile tyres do not mix well with large potholes.

We had a lovely time and the house was a good size and set-up for us (four couples each with a baby/toddler).

The only issues we wanted to pick up on were that the septic tank outside is located right next to the (lovely) children's play area and it was rather smelly at times. The other issue we had was that with 8 adults there was only one shower (in the downstairs bathroom). There was plenty of space to install one in the main bathroom upstairs which we would highly recommend. I appreciate there's a shower head on the bath upstairs but it's not the most practical for an adult. Great for kids though. These were the only downsides to a lovely stay. The house is very well equipped, the hot tub was lovely and warm, extremely clean and had a wonderful view of the sunsets in the evenings. Great location near to some of the most beautiful beaches. We'd highly recommend the Wavecrest Cafe and Lobster Pot as well as the Oyster Catcher. Thanks for a lovely week away.

We enjoyed a week at Hen Gilfach to celebrate a special birthday.

It was a family affair with ages ranging from 2 yrs - 70 yrs. The accommodation was ideal, spacious and clean. Kitchen was well equipped.The garden was great for the children whilst the adults enjoyed the hot tub! Walks nearby and beach not too far, We really had a lovely time. Thank you!

The cottage was amazing, we had a wonderfull time, relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet, great for all our children who are begging to go back, I'm in the process of booking it again for next year.

I can say it was so good that my brother is hoping to come over from America to stay next year.
