    “Well equipped cottage.”

The kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and lovely bedding. The garden was private and lots of wildlife visited. A couple of downsides really let the house down. The dust was horrendous, under the settees was thick dust and clumps of dog hairs everywhere. The baby high chair was extremely dirty. We had to hoover, dust and sanitize before we unpacked. The cleaner is definitely not doing their job.

Set in a private, secluded location, half a mile from the popular beach and amenities of Trearddur Bay, makes this a perfect place for a family holiday or a get together with a few friends.

On entering the cottage, you will notice the high standard of furnishing throughout giving a lovely contemporary feel.

There are three bedrooms leading off the hallway, with a family bathroom.

The L-shaped kitchen is bright and airy and has everything needed to cook those home-cooked meals, even with a small dining table, making it a delightful place to socialise or plan your day’s activities over breakfast.

The spacious sitting room is light and bright with dual aspect windows, giving lovely views across the open fields.

There is plenty of comfy seating with a multi-fuel stove making a great place to relax after a full day out and about.

This then leads you into a good-sized conservatory which houses a lovely dining table and even a small sofa, making it an ideal place to relax with a good book.

To the back of the cottage is a large lawned garden which is partly enclosed and secluded with excellent views down to the bay and possibly to the sea on clear days.

There is a good-sized decking area with furniture as well as access to the fantastic hot tub.

For a good day out, NT's Plas Newydd and Beaumaris Castle are on the island.

Alternatively, discover Snowdonia, Conwy and Caernarfon Castles, a little further afield.

About the location

TREARDDUR BAY

Holyhead 2 miles.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!

Please note : From November 2022, the property will have a walk in shower rather than a bath as pictured. Photos are due to be replaced.
