The holiday "home" - in the lovely village of Moelfre, was very well situated, generously equipped and with a high standard of cleanliness. Thank you!

Lovely house , very clean , everything you need for a short stay.

It was very close to the pebble beach , of Moelfre . A few fasciitis, great pub with great food a cafe, was quite expensive, for a breakfast, & a tasty ice cream shop. The weather was beautiful so we were out & about , a lovely island . The one thing could be improved was the pebble drive , not great for your car . But would recommend & certainly go again.

We had a lovely week in this comfortable cottage.

It was very clean and had almost everything we needed. A couple of very minor points, we needed some better knives and a draining board next to the sink. The parking on the drive was also very tight.

Lovely house very homely Garden was lovely to sit in and we had all we needed in the house.

Our family enjoyed the holiday and would recommend Moelfre as a base .

Lovely house, felt like home.

Immaculate. Plenty of room, lots of towels, plenty of clothes hanging space and drawers. Perfect area, so close to the Moelfre bay, if we didn't want to use the car, we didn't. Missing a village shop though! We also would have liked oven gloves in the kitchen, but this is only really splitting hairs, as everything was perfect! Thank you for a lovely 2 weeks.

We had a lovely holiday, the property was excellent.

We only had two issues which we overcame and I was probably our fault for not reading the spec closely. The stairs were difficult for us in our seventies but we managed by using the downstairs shower room. Our Ford Tourneo only just fitted on the the pebble drive but these were minor issues we had very relaxed holiday Thank You x

We spent 4 nights here in a cold wet November weekend.

The house was warm, comfy and perfect. Beds were all great, everything was spotless, and beaches and cafe, pubs all close by. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone. Our only slight issue was we struggled to work the tv in the main living room, but that maybe just a sign that we are getting old

This being our third stay shows how much we enjoy our time in this comfortable, well maintained house.

Everything is of a high standard. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, also plenty of crockery and glasses. Moelfre is a great base for local walks and for exploring Anglesey.

Lovely holiday property with great attention to detail.

Every need was provided for. Pretty, well kept garden to sit outside. Great position within Moelfre. The only suggestion we would make for improvement would be the TV in the main lounge. To switch on was fine but to switch off took forever.

Great location, very clean and uncluttered.

Kitchen very well stocked with pots, pans ect. Good communication from agent with good maintemance reporting system in cottage. Great stay, would highly recommend

Cartrefle’r Enfys was a wonderful little find, lots of room and clean and bright.

Quite close to the sea front and pub. Just one concern my husband has a mobility scooter we found it difficult to get it across the stones on the drive. Anglesey is a beautiful place and we would come and stay again. Jayne 5th may 2025

Beautiful house with everything you could possibly need.

Our children (6 and 8) had a brilliant time and loved their bedrooms. The house was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm when we arrived. We didn't use the garden, but it looked well kept and a good size. Short stroll to a beach and shop/pub and well located to get out to most of Anglesey. We had some great day trips out and it was the perfect house to come home to after a day in the wind and rain! Would definitely recommend. Bear in mind the drive way is quite tight and next door do tend to park the end of their car just over the entrance so if you have a big car, this could be an issue.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage, and the New Year welcome gift was a lovely touch.

The cottage was exactly as advertised and had everything necessary to cater for a family of five. The communication was great and we will definitely be looking to return in the future.

If a large garden is a priority for you then the photos on the website are a little deceiving but nevertheless is a lovely space. It is ideally placed for local walks around Moelfre and a short drive from the lovely countryside of Anglesey.

It was very comfortable and well kept . The facilities were excellent. Off road parking was great. The garden was lovely . Easy access through a short cut at end of the road to the harbour, pub and cafe etc. Its well worth visiting the lifeboat station too. Easy to get to the rest of Anglesey from here. A really nice house to book a holiday .

A comfortable, well equipped cottage in a lovely and convenient location.

This is our third stay at this property and we have always been very impressed with, and appreciated, the cleanliness and maintenance of the property, but this time it was poor.

On arrival we had to do about two hours of cleaning just to feel comfortable staying in the property. The fridge had remains of food and was smelly. The kitchen wall cupboard above the dishwasher, which is empty so that guests can store food items, was dirty, with remains of food on the shelves. The microwave hadn’t been cleaned. There were food crumbs on the sofa. There was debris on the living room floor, as if only a minimal sweep had been done. There were dirty child handprints on the front windows. In terms of maintenance, there was a distinct smell of damp throughout the house and evidence of pealing paintwork / crumbling plaster on walls were damp appeared to be penetrating from outside. The house decor was generally worn and needs a freshen up, for example marks on the paint work. The sofa and beds are now becoming worn and probably need replacing. The bedroom pillows definitely need replacing as they are completely flat and slightly smelly. This wasn’t the standard we had experienced in this property in previous stays, and we did not feel it warranted the price charged whilst in this state.

This is our second visit to this lovely house and we enjoyed it as much as our first.

The house is spacious, comfortable, warm and well equipped. The location is ideal for local walks along the cliffs and well placed for exploring Anglesey.

Comfy, clean and has everything you need. We had a slight issues with one of detectors but this was quickly resolved by Menai and the owners. Hopefully we’ll be back again next year!

I cannot speak highly enough of the property.

It was spotlessly clean and very welcoming. It was very well equipped and location is superb. The owners have given a lot of thought to guests needs.

We love the area so great location. Our only negative was the orthopaedic bed which made a good night's sleep difficult for us, this was made a bit better after a topper was purchased.

The house is more spacious than the photos suggest - an extra reception room which was warm, light and comfortable. Moelfre is a good base for exploring the island, with lovely walks straight from the door. We would be very happy to return.

The house was clean, well equipped and well maintained. The photos show an old kitchen so it was a nice surprise to find a very neat recently fitted kitchen on arrival. The downstairs shower room was very useful with a family too. We will definitely stay here again.

It was a great base for exploring the whole of Anglesey. The house was comfortable and well equipped. We wonder if the table would be a bit small if there were five people staying? The headboard in the double bedroom needs tightening up. We enjoyed sitting out in the garden, we would recommend the property and we would stay there again. Thank you.

Only issue was the gravel driveway, had problems getting off, everything else was perfect.

We had a great family holiday here for the second year in succession.

The property is very well equipped, and the only niggle was with the oven door which jammed open when hot and in use. We think it was an issue with a clip at the bottom not seating properly, and managed to work round the issue.

A lovely, bright and clean cottage in a great location.

The downstairs shower room close to the side entrance is a bonus when coming in from the beach. Great to have a downstairs loo too. We were not to keen on the gravel parking area out front but were glad to have the off road parking. The garden furniture let down what is a beautiful garden and lovely place to sit out.

The property is lovely, beautifully clean, comfortable and on a quiet street and we would happily stay here again.

We just have one request: for some comfortable garden furniture. We had perfect weather, sunny and warm and it would have been perfect to relax on comfortable chairs or loungers in the garden in the evenings.

The house was a lovely, spacious holiday home.

We enjoyed having the two sitting rooms as well as having a kitchen table in the kitchen and a dinning room. The garden was well cared for, with great storage space in the out-house. The garden furniture was a little dated and not inviting to sit out on. The location in Moelfre worked very well, ideal for the coastal walks as well as access to the pub and restaurant. We really enjoyed our stay.

The owner has clearly gone the extra mile to make this cottage extremely clean and covid safe.

This was very much appreciated. It was disappointing to see so many petty remarks in the maintenance book but if they were genuine all had been addressed except the depth of gravel on the drive. As my car is a low car I spoke to the neighbour and he was fine with me leaving it slightly protruding so the fro t wheels had a firm base for traction. Probably stayed in around 30 cottages over the last 15 years and this is in the top 3. Please pass on my thanks to the joint owners.

The cottage is ideal, plenty of space ,well equipped and comfortable.

Lovely garden which gets the afternoon sun. Perhaps could do with better outdoor seating. We would use the cottage again.

Off road parking is very important to me when choosing a property, the surface of the area designated was very difficult to drive onto and off, and even to walk on due to the materials used.

Our third time staying and it feels very homely and relaxed. New kitchen looks great! Only change we’d make would be some new/comfier outside furniture but we managed fine. Such a lovely garden to sit out in in the late afternoon.

This was a beautifully presented cottage, with everything that is needed for a relaxed holiday.

The house itself was beautifully decorated, clean and very spacious. The location was superb, 2 mins walk to the village with a pub serving good food, an ice cream parlour, and everything close by, including shops and Fish and Chip shop. Definitely would return, and recommend highly.

Excellent accommodation option for a stay in the pretty coastal village of Moelfre.

Really well appointed, comfortable and spotlessly clean, and located in a peaceful part of the village. Disappointed that maintenance comments made by previous guests hadn’t been resolved (noisy headboards). Would particularly recommend this accommodation out of season when the price is far more reasonable and the village quieter.

The cottage was beautiful and very spacious, which was ideal for us as a couple staying with elderly parents.

The shower room/toilet downstairs was a great advantage and the cottage was supplied with everything we needed. Although the heating wasn't an issue for our week, as we just boosted the central heating when needed. The log burner would have been too much fuss and so a gas or electric fire in the lounge may be a better idea. Moelfre was lovely too and the cottage is in a great location

This was our third time using Sykes (with a fourth already booked for 2021) and we have had to select Failed to Meet Expectations on this occasion due to the poor levels of cleanliness.

Besides the numerous cobwebs, the floors had not been properly cleaned as food, dust, and hairs were found around the furniture, and the sitting room curtains were also considerably dusty which transferred to our clothing when drawing and opening. The cutlery drawer displayed grease from previous use. This was made all the more frustrating given our check-in time was amended in order to supposedly facilitate a deep clean service.The upstairs bathroom however was cleaned to a high standard which would have been appreciated throughout.

This is the 3rd time we have used Menai Holidays and as usual we have had an excellent holiday in a beautiful part of the world.

The cottage was excellent, ideally positioned to make the most of the coastal path and to explore the amazing coastline.

Our second stay in this beautiful holiday home.

A really lovely house with lots of space to relax. Very well equipped kitchen. A great location to get out on the coastal path and do lots of walking.

We arrived at this exceptionally comfortable and spacious home from home during Storm Callum after a very long drive from the West Country.

On arrival we found tea and cake awaiting us. Everything we could possible need was catered for and considered. The beds were very comfortable with sufficient bedding to keep us warm and extra should we require it. There was a log burner although the house was certainly warm enough and did not need back up in the autumn. The decor was very light and bright and reflected the coastal theme. Information on the local area was available for us to peruse to enable us to make choices of places to visit. The wifi was useful to make online bookings to various places. We visited the Sea Zoo and it was fascinating to view and understand a little more about the marines species around our coast. We also and enjoyed a tour and a tasting at Anglesey Sea Salt Company. It surprised us how much there was to learn about this basic essential. The garden was a picture and has been very well tended and cared for to the extent that the flowers were still blooming even in late October. We also enjoyed a few walks around the coastal path which is very close to the property and an visit to the RNLI lifeboat station where we had a very informative chat with crew. The beaches were stunning and very easy parking out of season. We simply loved Anglesey and received a very friendly welcome wherever we went. We sampled the famous Menai Mussels in the Boat House Restaurant Red Wharf Bay which is a must after brisk walk along the deserted beach in the sunshine. We will definitely return to Anglesey and maybe with other members of our family.

It’s roomy, nicely decorated, well equipped, clean and tidy. Everything you need is there including some very cuddly throws! The enclosed garden is pleasant and cottage a short walk from the beautiful coastal path. I really cannot fault it and will be returning in the future I’m sure. It’s how I would like my own cottage by the sea to be.

This is the second time we have booked this cottage, it has a very homely feel and the amenities are second to none, l would highly recommend.

Beautiful garden. Only niggles were that there were no toilet rolls, tea towels or oven gloves. Luckily we had brought some tea towels from home. No welcome pack. We really enjoyed our stay.

Nice cottage in fabulous location.

Comfy beds, plenty of space for the whole family. Just missing a few finishing touches (oven gloves, bath mats in shower room, outside tableware, access to a stairgate) that would help make it perfect. Generally clean but felt like it would benefit from a deep clean.
