“In the listing it says dog friendly but should read dog tolerant, it was only when we read the welcome pack that we saw that dogs are not allowed on the bed or any of the furniture, At home our dog sleeps in her little bed on our bed so it was really hard to keep her off the furniture and because of the wind howling for most of our stay she was scared so kept jumping on furniture next to us.”

On the day we were due to leave we tried using the hoover but it wasn’t holding the charge. It also said a selection of games and a DVD player was available but there was only one game and no DVD player.Other than these minor complaints the Lodge itself was lovely to stay in.

Find your rest in the master bedroom with a king-size bed, ample storage, and a dressing table, along with an en-suite cloakroom, whilst the snug twin room is ideal for two little ones.

Start your day with a refreshing rinse in the shower room, followed by sunny mornings spent in your enclosed garden; the kids will love playing on the lawn with a slide and swing, whilst you savour a cup of coffee on the picnic bench.

Surrounded by countryside, Rhosybol is a lovely base to call home during your holiday, with the local Siop Y Paget to pick up essentials, and The Ring pub to stop for a drink and dinner; The Lodge has views right of Llyn Alaw for scenic walks and birdwatching.

Why not embark on an adventure at sea, whether that's a boat tour, diving, or Offshore Wreck Fishing?

Be sure to pack your towels, buckets and spades for days along Anglesey's golden sands, such as Traeth Lligwy, Traeth Bychan, and Traeth Benllech close to Red Wharf Bay.

Discover more local history at Beaumaris with its majestic, 13th-century Beaumaris Castle, Beaumaris Gaol, and a picturesque seafront and pier, whilst boat trips to Puffin Island are a must!

Stop at Llangefni for Oriel Môn, housing local culture and heritage, plus scenic walks through The Dingle (Nant-y-Pandy) Nature Reserve, whilst the bustling town of Holyhead has coastal paths, the leading arts centre of Ucheldre Centre, and why not pair your Wales adventure with a day trip to Dublin?

Alternatively, escape the hustle and bustle for wildlife watching, walking, and fishing at Breakwater Country Park (Parc Gwledig Morglawdd Caergybi) or Parc Arfordirol Penrhos Coastal Park.
