Towyn Lodge

Cosy and comfortable accommodation with everything we needed for a week's stay.

Great location and helpful instructions for arriving and getting in. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay again.

Comfortable home with everything you need provided even a bottle of wine in fridge excellent location two minutes from lovely sandy cove with restaurants and bars close by

This is our second time staying at the property and I must say the recent redecoration was very well received by all.

There certainly has been a lot of thought put into it. The chilled bottle of fizz and Welsh cakes were very much appreciated. The property has a lovely homely feel and is within strolling distance of beautiful beaches with stunning views. One minor point was that there were no pans in the kitchen, only two frying pans and a large cooking pot. A set of standard kitchen pans would be welcome. There was renovation work being undertaken at the back of the property. We weren’t made aware of this beforehand. The tradesman was very courteous though. All in all I can’t wait to return again and will bring my own pans just in case!

We really enjoyed our stay at Towyn and would stay again.

Its location is great and as a listed property exudes character and history with the link to Thomas Telford. We liked the family and homely feel to the place, feeling comfortable and at ease. The large bedrooms and family size kitchen ( with the underfloor heating) are a big plus. Obviously as a listed property it presents challenges to maintain and change things however I might suggest the owners look at some way of reducing the draft through the main door into the living area. Finally the bottle of wine , pint of milk and Welsh cakes on arrival were most welcome, thank you very much.

This was our second stay in just a few months.

We really love the property! Its a home away from home and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Its in a perfect location, right next to one of the beautiful coves and its next to a nice pub. If you are lucky you will see the Red Arrows fly over during the week! We have received great service again and we really cant fault anything. We will most certainly be back again!

We had trouble with the heating initially but we contacted the help desk who were extremely helpful and got the heating set up straight away.

The place it’s itself we couldn’t fault. There isn’t anything that the owner hasn’t thought of. There is so much personality in the property and it felt really homely. We enjoyed it so much we have booked another trip. Great location right near the beach and a nice pub. The only minor con would be that dogs aren’t allowed. We have a senior very well behaved dog and we would have loved to have brought him with us! But other than then that we absolutely loved the place.

Lovely accommodation stayed with elderly parents so whilst the apartment tends to be marketed for families with children it was perfect for over 80,s with mobility issues .

Lovely kitchen managed to cook full Sunday roast with all the equipment thank you

We had a lovely stay at Towyn Lodge.

Thank you - well equipped, cosy and comfortable. Best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Weather has been kind and we have seen some red squirrels, seals and plenty of sea birds. We will be back again soon. PS Imperial Palace Chinese and Sea Shanty are fab places to eat. Sue Paul and Soph.

Had a lovely stay at Towyn Lodge, weather was beautiful which is also a plus, even though we had plenty of laughs with our entertainment.

Was nice to come back as I use to always come when I was younger, 20+ years down the line and it's exactly as I remember. This place does hold some great memories and was lovely to relive some of them. Will definitely come back as Trearddur Bay is a stunning place.

We had a great stay and we hope to be back soon.

I loved the beaches and the walks. The beds were very comfy and so were the sofas. The swing in the garden was fab, the toys were fun to play with. I will miss the teddys so much, Isla, age 10.

We had a really lovely 4 day stay in Towyn Lodge, visiting family on Anglesey.

The flat is in a fantastic location, only a couple of minutes from the beach. We were really interested to learn about the history of the house - previously occupied by Thomas Telford! The house is comfortable and warm, with all the facilities you could need. The master bedroom is just beautiful! We were very lucky to find this over new year.

on arrival we entered the hallway to find it was the lounge, no windows and very little comfortable seating, it was dark dingy and smelt musty, in fact all the rooms smelt musty, in fact by the end of the week all our cloths smelt of damp, the bathroom had no blind and the people from upstairs kept there bins under the window so we had no privacy in there.

I would say the best room was the kitchen which did have everything needed for a self catering holiday but outside the backdoor was a mess with plant pots full of dead plants, abandoned fairy lights all over the grass, really scruffy. We were very disappointed all round and would never want to go there again in fact we did leave a day early as we couldn't stand to sit in that hallway/lounge for another evening after returning from the pub it was so depressing.

Lovely cottage in a great location, it has everything you need for an enjoyable family holiday.

Towyn Lodge was lovely, first impressions were good, there were only 2 of us and it served it purpose, as a getaway before another lockdown.

Location is great for a coastal wander and access to Trearrdur Bay. We're disappointed having only booked the day before, that we were not informed there was building work going on in the garden, we appreciate it was a working day to alot of people, but had we been aware of driling and banging from 8.15am each morning, we would have chosen somewhere else. The building work meant there was no outside space for us to use. We have emailed Menai Holidays about this during the week, but no rep Sponse as yet. Shower is un-usable for someone of 6 foot and the shower door comes off in your hand, the cleaner warned us of this, so we were prepared. Sorry for the negative, we're just upset that we weren't informed of the builder's presence. We will use Menai again and would recommend Towyn Lodge.

Towyn Lodge was a beautiful place to stay.

Its location was perfect right by the beach and the accommodation itself has absolutely everything -and more! - needed for the perfect holiday. It was really homely and ideal for a family. We can’t wait to come back!

We had such a lovely time staying here we didn’t want to leave, great space and location.

This our third week at Towyn Lodge and we’ll book again.

We can't recommend Towyn Lodge enough!

We stayed for a week in October with our adult children and their partners. We all enjoyed a fabulous family holiday in complete comfort and in fabulous surroundings. The lodge is furnished tastefully and beautifully decorated and full of character and charm. Extremely comfy beds with lovely bedding plus everywhere was immaculate and so clean. Gorgeous big bathroom with shower and a separate large bath for a long hot soak after days out walking and sightseeing. Extremely well-equipped kitchen with everything you could possibly need including a large range style oven and huge fridge freezer. Just 3 minutes' walk from 2 beaches with stunning coastal walks and for birdwatching. Also, very easy to walk to great pubs and restaurants and a local well stocked handy shop too. Thanks indeed to the owners. We simply loved our 'home from home' experience ! We have already booked again for 2022 !

I think this is the fifth year we have stayed here just goes to show how much we love it !

Towyn Lodge suits us down to the ground. As a family of four we invited our niece for a few days too. As ever mixed weather but that didn't stop us making the most of the area. We rode bikes at Penrhos, sailed, swam, paddled, climbed Holyhead Mountain and scooted to the Sea Chanty for an Ice Cream, always gutted to leave. Thanks Gwen, James, Shauna and David. Hope to see you again next year.

Thank you for a fabulous stay, we had such a good time !

Absolutely loved the coastal walk and a long lunch at the White Eagle. Lots of sundowners at the Seacroft and a lovely meal at the Sea Chanty. We even managed a swim which was cold but exhilarating ! We would love to come back and explore some more.

What a lovely find this cottage is so 'cosy' Blankets available for a cuddly stay they have really thought about the comfort of the visitors !

Comfortable accommodation warm and very inviting. We were one couple, had the place to ourselves but enjoyed the peace ! After the grandchildren last week !! Would definitely recommend to family, very well equipped and extras included.

We have had a lovely stay at Towyn Lodge.

Thank you. Well equipped, cosy & comfortable. Best nights sleep I've had for a long time. Weather has been kind & we have seen some red squirrels, seals & plenty of sea birds. We will be back again soon. p.s Imperial Palace Chinese & Sea Shanty are fab places to eat. xx

We've had a wonderful stay at Towyn Lodge - Comfortably furnished, it is evidently a much loved holiday home.

Ably sustained by fish and chips from Enochs (Thanks for the tip!) and beer from the microbrewery, we are only sad to be leaving early, due to the imminent arrival of storm Eunice (and a 7 hour drive back to Kent) Diolch!

We had a fantastic week - full of fun and relaxation.

Love the beach and the stunning views. Cottage was great, we had a great day out at the Greenwood Forest Park and a birthday meal at Catch 22 Brasserie in Valley (would highly recommend) We can't wait to come back.

We've had a lovely stay.

Thank you. So close to everything and all the lovely footpaths to the bays. Lovely to see all the flowers and it made sitting out special. Can't wait to return and explore more. A very special spot in the world. P.s The swing was a big hit!

We have loved staying here - such a well placed spot.

We have made lovely memories on our first family holidays as a 4 away from home. The boys loved the beach, and The Shanty cafe! They loved having their own 'holiday home' and the swing was their favorite. Will look forward to being back next year. Thank again

We have enjoyed a beautiful week here in Trearddur Bay and have been so lucky with the weather.

The small beach behind the house has been a favorite, as well as trips to South Stack Lighthouse. The rip ride at Menai, Beaumaris and Melin Llynon at Llanddeusant. We would highly recommend the Sea Shanty for a meal and Lola's Cafe for brunch. Biggest bonus was our awesome neighbors. What a super holiday!

Fabulous property with all the equipment we required for a wonderful stay with our children.

The location is absolutely perfect, situated between two beaches. Lovely owners and very friendly neighbors. We had a great nights sleep as it was so peaceful at night time. All amenities within walking distance of the property, can't wait to return

Another fabulous stay here - this time with our littlest one - we just love it here.

The beach, apartment, local places - it's perfect for us. We feel so looked after and all the little extras just make all the difference. We can't wait to come back soon!

If this flat is available during your stay in Anglesey, book it immediately!

It was the perfect mini getaway for my husband and I, and our infant baby. It is beautifully decorated throughout, with all the comforts you would need and they have the baby essentials (high chair, travel cot, beach shade, etc) which helped us travel lighter. There were also no steps throughout which made everything much easier. The location is within walking distance to multiple secluded beaches that never felt as busy as the main beach in town. As we had a pram, we loved not having to pack up the car to go enjoy the beach. The sunsets are also unreal! Within a 15 minute drive, we were able to explore more of the island, including the lighthouse. The property has plenty of off-street parking out front and we were never worried about our car. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, providing recommendations prior to our stay and checking in to make sure we arrived without issue. I only wish we had more time in this beautiful little slice of the world!

“We have just returned from a visit at this jewel of a property.

We had a wonderful weekend; the property is in a superb position in Trearrddur Bay and is well equipped with lots of period charm and character. We will be revisiting and I cannot recommend this property highly enough!”

Thank you very much for another brilliant week at Towyn Lodge.

It is such a lovely home and we have loved it again. Thank you for all the tips on places to go. Thanks to Mabel and Freddie for the boys' treats and also to Vi for bringing the lambs for the boys to feed them. Albert and Harry love the 'holiday home'. Another week of making fantastic memories in Anglesey.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely holiday home with us.

We have had a great week here and love the location! We had 2 trips to Caernarfon and managed to catch 110 crabs - a new favourite spot for sure. We have had some excellent meals over the week and would highly recommend the Sunday roast at the Trearddur Bay Hotel. 'That Burger Guy' did a pop up night at Llefrith Cybi. The best burgers EVER and lunch at Ocean's Edge - try all of the cocktails. We've left our lucky crabbing net in the hope it brings the next user even more luck. See you soon!

It was so lovely being back at Towyn Lodge!

We love the cosy new fireplace in the living room and the new decor in the bedrooms is fab! We were really lucky with the weather once again, and loved having breakfast out in the garden. Would definetely recommend ocean's edge for dinner with a view and lola's for a coffee. The walk across towards the white eagle is always a joy! As is sunset drinks up at the flagstaff. Thanks for the delicious fizz and biscuits. Will definately be back!

Perfect stay at a perfect location.

We came to get away from 'it all' and a stay here certainly provided the rest. We needed. Many Thanks

We have has such a lovely long weekend here :) 3 generations celebrating Nanny's birthday and there was something for everyone.

The House is so well stocked with things for kids, it made it really easy with our 1 year old. We loved the fire and all the beautiful decor and little touches. We had fantastic weather and enjoyed sitting outside with a cuppa. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay. Clare, Rob John and Trudy xxx

A fantastic week in a wonderful place.

Grandma said her bed was so comfy she'd like to take it home! The weather has been much better than predicted so we've had beach time galore! Thanks for letting us stay in your absolutely lovely holiday home. Helen, Phil, Amy & Grandma May

Another glorious stay at Towyn!

The weather wasn't playing ball so we got to really enjoy the cosy comforts and all the new decor! Williams loved the toys and exploring the different roads. Made sandcastles on the beach and I went for a freezing cold paddle - we MUST come back for a proper swim ASAP. Thanks again for allowing us to stay in what has become our 'third' home! Lots of Love, Caroline, Adam, George, Suze, William & Baby Rose xxxxx

About to leave unwillingly, so comfortable her with beauty all around.

The stresses of life seem to wash away here. Mixed weather but two blistering days at the weekend when brother and sister in laws came down at the weekend. itis raining as we pack to go home. We will be back, perhaps looking for a permanent home in the Bay. Our sone Jack has been to Towyn Lodge a few times and has declared it his favourite place on earth. having stayed there ourselves we can now understand Many thanks to Dave and S for everything

We had a lovely week staying her.

Beds were super comfy and had everything we needed. The toy .... was a great surprise. Fabulous location, the Seacroft became our regular. Would recommend the Oyster Catcher for food and drinks. Greenwood is a great day out for the family and the zoo! The TV did not work for us, the volume button was broken and could not hear anything so hot to watch in subtitles. We will be back next year. Grandad Michael, Bridget, Dave, Molly, Reuben and Cara.

we stayed at Towyn Lodge for the last stop on our road trip honeymoon with our 10 month old baby.

It was a great place to unwind after a lot of travelling. Its charming has everything you need and loads of space for families. The recommendations in the visitor book are spot on, we tried a few. It was the perfect end to out trip and we can't wait to come back again. Ped, Maggie and Kian xxx

"We have just spent a family break with the children at Town Lodge and had the most wonderful time.

The location is brilliant, right next to the beach as well as the bars and restaurants so we could walk everywhere even with the children. The lodge itself is clean and cosy so it was a great place to relax in the evening. Everything is really nicely decorated so it feels like a proper seaside cottage. There's everything you need in the kitchen as well so we made some brunches at home as well as eating out. We had such a lovely time we were sad we had to leave but hopefully will be able to return again soon."

We had fantastic break at Towyn Lodge.

It's a beautiful building, furnished tastefully and spacious. The apartment is extremely well placed for the beach and the many bars and restaurants of Trearddur Bay. The welcome bottle of fizz was a lovely treat! We found lots of great walks in the local area and particularly enjoyed the views. Will be back!? Paddy and Mudassar.

We have visited Towyn Lodge on a number of occasions now and it never disappoints.

It is a stunning character property with beautiful original features and extremely well equipped. Inside the property are 3 large bedrooms, a lovely lounge and dining/kitchen with every item imaginable and large range for cooking. The modern bathroom with bath and separate shower is lovely for a long hot soak! The decor throughout is delightful with original features and a seaside/nautical theme. The facilities are top quality and we snuggled up warm and cosy most evenings on the sofa in front of the smart tv or listened to music with a bottle of wine after wonderful winter walks and different days out. There is off road parking for multiple cars and to the side of the house is a fenced off garden. Location wise, it is perfectly positioned in Trearddur Bay for beach walks, surrounded left and right by the sunning coastline and landscape. Next door is the Seacroft Pub which serves a great range of drinks and excellent food. South Stack lighthouse is within walking distance along the coastal path. Treaddur itself has a great range of restaurants and shops. Also within 5 mins drive is the retail park with supermarkets and shops. Holyhead is nearby for ferry crossings

A lovely home in a stunning location!

We came with our toddler for a new year retreat and what a perfect place for it! The house is so cosy and well equipped, we had everything we needed and felt really comfortable! The location is perfect, easy to find, daily walks on the beach, plus tonnes of lovely local places to explore (great food at the stores)! Thank you got the great recommendations, it really made our stay to have lots to do. We would love to return to your fab home sometime soon. Jen, Ryan and Vincent

We had a lovely weekend here in Trearddur Bay, the weather was superb for this time of year!

Towyn Lodge is a great place to stay for a relaxing break, full of character & superbly located. A stones throw from the beaches and short walk to all the great local resaurants. Highly recommend a visit to The Stores & Sea Shanty! Really great, cosy place, thoroughly enjoyed the house & the local area. We will certainly be back again. Stu & Kirsty

We have had such an amazing stay here!

Your home is so lovely, welcoming and well equipped with everything that we could need and more! We've loved wintery walks on the beach and visits to sea shanty + the stores for delicious food. Baby alma has been in her element with all of the fun toys and has loved splashing in the bath. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We'd love to return to make more memories here soon! The Sharifi Gang xxx

What a beautiful, warm and welcoming home with a lovely family feel.

We have had an amazing stay with lots of lovely walks and even a little dip in the sea. Food at the Sea Shanty was delish and we have all loved playing lots of family games around the diner table. We hope to be back soon :) The Wheatleys, Laura, Parker and Alice

This was our second stay here at Towyn Lodge and definitely won't be our last.

The flat is so well equipped with everything we needed, comfy and cosy too. Morning coffee in the garden in the sunshine is the best start to the day! Our top picks include Rhoscolyn beach and fabulous food at The White Eagle, Penrhos Coastal Park and of course the quiet local beaches. Thank you, The Lee's xx

Thanks so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

We had a fantastic time and all your tips on wales and restaurants were much appreciated. Your Welsh getaway is very much like your family, beautiful and enjoyable to be around. Definitely want to come back at some stage (will get Ben working on next year's dance moves) Ben, Freya, Gill, Karen, Leena, Asha, James, John, Georges, Ben & Kit :)

We had a wonderful time here, the flat itself is very well equipped and we were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather!

We enjoyed going on walks along the coast, and we went bird-spotting which the kids found 'very cool'. On our last night, we had fish and chips on a grassy spot overlooking the sea and watched the sunset. We had some gorgeous experiences and amazing views coupled with beautiful pictures to commemorate. As it is nearing GCSE's, our eldest daughter spent her time revising either outside or inside (depending on her laptop charge). Such a pleasant place to revise, I doubt she could have imagined revising somewhere so nice :) Thank you for making the amazing holiday we had, wish we stayed longer!

We had a wonderful time at Towyn Lodge, the perfect base for a family holiday exploring Anglesey!

Had a great time.

This flat has everything. Weather variable but did not keep us indoors. Pub next door quite good but sometimes you need to look. Oceans edge very good - although not cheap. Sea shack ok but pricey. Lovely village, would love to come again.

We had a wonderful stay at Towyn Lodge!

Loved cosying up in front of the fire in the living room! Great location with easy access to the beach and the bars and restaurants of Trearddur. The house is very well equipped with everything you could need! Would definitely recommend a trip to the Sea Shanty for ice cream, or The Stores for a drink! Thanks so much for a lovely stay we would definitely come back again!

Lovely stay it was in a beautiful location and an amazing place to have walks around.

Beautiful bedrooms and a nice kitchen all the small deatils make a change, c the shells, the games made it a fun night. Absolutely would stay again 10/10. Thank you so much for making this 1-0x better. The Minchins

Amazing stay with everything we needed.

Beautiful weather once again too. We managed to find the white eagle mac quickly this time too. Thanks so much Lisa

We had a lovely peaceful week at Treaddur Bay.

The location is hard to beat. We drove down to Newborough Beach which was a first for us and phoebe has really enjoyed collecting shells and making sandcastle and footprints. Adel, ian and Phoebe.

We arrived her at Towyn Lodge and was impressed straightaway.

A wonderful place to stay, everything you could ever need was in this home. We will definitely stay again. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We have had an amazing time. Thank you Love joan and paul xx

We loved our stay here!

Peaceful & relaxing is just what we needed after 2 weddings in 3 days. We created some great memories with some great new friends. Thank you for letting us stay here

Fantastic location & homely cottage vibes.

We all enjoyed our stay here. Our first family holiday to Anglesey. Beach, crabbing, walks, lovely local amenities! Our little boy would "stay her forever" if he could! We will be back!

Have just spent a fabulous few days at Towyn Lodge.

Our first time here & with the beautiful beaches so handy, you find yourself back to the lodge for lunch, then back to the beach. My bed in the beautifully decorated Blue Room was so comfy. The stores are very handy also for a coffee & a friendly catch up

Just one night sadly but what a lovely place!

We would love to come back for a proper stay. Thank You!

What a fantastic stay at Towyn Lodge, it really was home-from-home with its gorgeous decor & all the amenities we needed.

The location was perfect. It is really close to the beach and restaurants. We'd recommend The Stores & Sea Shanty. We also visited Newborough Forest, White Eagle pub & Beaumaris (puffin boat tour & castle) which were all fantastic. Thank you again for such a comfortable stay ♥

This is our 2nd stay here, the last one in June 2023 just for 4 days.

This time we have come for 1 week with our friends, and it's as lovely as ever. We have been warm + very cosy in the house as it's now turning Autumnal! We made the coastal walk to The White Eagle Pub for a lovely Sunday Roast and glorious sunshine. We have been out for most of the days, sometimes local and been as far down as Moelfre doing a walk from Lligwy Beach along the coast, then calling at Red Wharf Bay with a meal at The Boat House. Around Trearddur Bay we have enjoyed walks all around and having coffee at The Stores. Very enjoyable with a lovely shop + deli. Thank you for our lovely stay xx

First time in Anglesey and at Towyn Lodge, but would definitely visit both again!

A lovely week with great weather so plenty of time on the beach and even a swim. The cottage is really cosy and well equipped. We enjoyed The Stores for coffee, breakfasts + cakes. Also had a rather super meal at Sandy Mount House in nearby Rhosneigr. Lots more to do and see, but we will be back! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home from home with us – also thank you for the very useful guest information book.
