Well House Farm Flat 1

This was our second stay here and it won’t be our last.

So peaceful yet so easy to get to shops, places to visit and lovely walks nearby. The flat has everything we needed for a relaxed and comfortable stay and a really generous welcome tray of Welsh goodies and more! So great to have the owners right there if you need anything but never intrusive. It’s the best place we’ve stayed in and thoroughly recommend it. Enormous thanks to Margaret and Dan and Cookie!

We booked Well House Farm Flat 1, as we needed to leave fjrba week due to maintenance in my home.

We chose this as it was close to where we live and allowed dogs. It did not disappoint. This is a beautiful little flat which is massive by the way. Surrounded by greenery and bird song. We had good weather so myself and the dogs were able to enjoy the garden everyday. It was spotless, bright, warm and airy. Had everything you needed in the kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room. Including a very nice welcome pack. If I had to pick at anything about it, but it is a pick but has no bearing on whether I'd return or not, as I would, was the bed mattress and pillows were terribly thin and not comfy at all. Also the water was boiling in the kitchen but didn't seem the same to have a bath. Lastly the garden furniture could do with an upgrade so that you can enjoy the beautiful views I comfort. The owners were next door and were super lovely, but not at all infringing. I would actually live here and for the price I think it was a bargain.

Had a wonderful time at well house farm flat 1,I holidayed with my my 2 house cats,on arrival there were treats and toys and a blanket left for them ,which was very touching ,although I ended up being ill on my trip ,I managed to enjoy how peace full and tranquill ,the cottage was and scenic views ,I loved it so much ,I have rebooked for the Christmas and newyear for 2 weeks ,it was just perfect ,I highly recommend ,10/10 Eleanor dixon

Positives Amazing property.

Brilliant location. Nice that you are so close to Chester and to the retail park. Very warm house. Negatives. Beds weren’t that comfortable. Creaked every time you moved. Also you can hear everything from the upstairs flat.

Flat 1 is very spacious and had everything we needed.

The property would benefit from additional sound proofing between flat 1 and flat 2 to reduce noise.

I was on a week's holiday with my mum and we were in the ground floor flat.

This is a little gem - it feels like it it sin the middle of nowhere, but 5 minutes down the road is a retail park with lots of shopping options, including Tesco, Aldi and M&S food hall, as well as non-food outlets. The property was extremely well equipped - all bed linen and towels, toilet rolls, everything needed to wash up and everything you could need in the kitchen, including all instructions for appliances. There were games in the living room cupboard and in the hallway cupboard was a vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron and a fan (which was very welcome). Lots of leaflets about places to visit which were helpful. Chester city is an easy 15 minute drive away and Grosvenor multi-storey is a great central place to park (£7.80 for upto 4 hours and £10 for the day). The only reasons I have given it 4 stars is I didn't find the mattress in the double room particularly comfortable but I think it was an Ikea mattress and I have never got on with those and as we were in the ground floor flat, you could hear people moving about in the upstairs flat - I was very glad the upstairs flat didn't have children with them because I would imagine that could be quite noisy if they were running about.

Lovely cottage and location.

The Welsh welcome tray was a thoughtful touch and greatly appreciated. Everything we needed was there and more besides. I loved chatting to you and greeting your friendly dog. We will return to stay next time we are up visiting our daughter if you’re not booked up! Thanks for a perfect stay.

The property owner has been very helpful and accomodating throughout what is essentially a long term and on-going booking related to a work project in the area

Overall a excellent cottage great location very clean and well presented .

.. Top off with little personal touches especially dog treats which our Staffi Bow loved... Would definitely recommend and return when coming back to the area..

An excellent home from home for four weeks.

Lovely welcoming gifts on arrival of tea/coffee biscuits/cakes and dog treats. Owner provided very welcome weekly linen cleaning service. We would happily stay there again. Denise, Graham and Bertie boxer dog.

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, good location - we loved everything about this property and so did our dog - she didn’t want to leave!

The property was spacious and clean.

A great place to take dogs. The kitchen was well equipped. The main bedroom was lovely and spacious. The beds in both bedrooms were a bit too low for me, and hard. The lounge was well used. But we found we could have done with another chair as the sofas were on the smallish side . Are family consisted of 3 adults. The Bara brith and shortbread were very welcome.

Everything clean and very comfortable. A beautiful location. Great communication and very generous with the Welsh cakes. We really appreciated it. Short drive to shops. The location is so useful for exploring everywhere from Chester and beyond - we hope we will return one day! We would highly recommend this property.

A lovely clean cottage which was spacious and comfortable with everything to make our stay enjoyable.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and we had a lovely basket of goodies on arrival. A nice enclosed garden for our dog to enjoy and have a run around and woof at their dog. An ideal location, well off the road and close to a good shopping centre. Easy reach for Chester and North Wales.

Ideal location for a short break to Chester with our two dogs.

A short drive from Little Roodee Car Park Grosvenor Rd Chester CH1 1SL where you can enjoy all the city has to offer.

Lovely spacious apartment in an interesting area with plenty to do and see.

The flat is very comfortable and well equipped. I would have found a small vegetable knife useful and maybe an extra empty wall cupboard to put my own groceries in, but l managed using one of the deep kitchen drawers without any problem. The owner made us feel very welcome and we are already looking at dates for our next visit. Thoroughly recommend a visit to Wells House Farm.

The flat was very clean and there pictures don do it justice lovely little flat and very spacious and equipped all major items right down to hair dryer only whinge I have is storage space my preference only would be to add a few more cupboards very close to retail park where you can purchase all your needs from food to shopping has a couple of fast food restaurants ie Mcdonalds and burger bar can’t remember name 1 pub down the road 2 miles ish didn’t really look for others overall would I book again ?

Perfectly clean with modern appliances, quiet location but within easy reach of road networks for exploring North Wales and the North West. Dog area ideal and secure with the resident dog very welcoming.

The property was lovely, there was everything we needed.

Very clean and tidy and comfortable. The welcome hamper and milk in the fridge was a very nice touch as were the games in the cupboard under the TV and the little desk with the craft activities. My you get loved these, we used quite slot so left a new glue stick and pad of paper to make up for some of what she'd used.

Ideally positioned that met our needs during the stay.

Very pleasant surroundings within accessible needs to most requirements and locations visited. Nice touch to see on arrival milk and tea,coffee etc. Hope other agree with suitability and facilities to meet all user's needs.

Great holiday property.

Ideal if you want to explore Chester but don't want to stay in the centre. Welcome basket was much appreciated.

As we said in the visitor book, a fantastic place to stay with thoughtful inclusions and excellent facilities.

All you could want from a cottage stay. Everyone enjoyed staying here and would happily come back.

The accommodation was very well furnished light and airy ,very clean,and very well equipped a home from home.

The property was in a quiet lane with plenty of parking space.The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We were warned on the info that the property was close to an airport but it was only a small non commercial one with no noise at all.

The house was immaculate.There was plenty of space and everything was high quality. The fresh flowers, welcome basket, children's crafts and games really made it feel like home. The location was perfect. We will definitely return.

Lovely, warm and welcoming apartment.

Treats for me and for my dogs who also enjoyed the fluffy blanket left for them.

The owners were very accommodating of our pets and provided treats for them which was a nice touch.

Only small improvement might be to either carpet upstairs flat or sound proof the floor.

We had a family with small children above us and could hear lots of noise at night and early morning. Extremely dog friendly owners and property and lots of exercise space. Ideally located for Chester and North Wales. Margaret was a very warm and welcoming host

We had a lovely stay at Well House Farm in Bretton.

The flat was very well equipped and was very comfortable. It was in a great location with a bus stop at the end of the road to take you to Chester. The owners had put together a detailed information pack of the best places to visit so we enjoyed days out in various places in north Wales and also in Chester and Liverpool. It is located near a golf driving range and great retail park with a large Tesco and cinema complex.

  Thank you for the welcome pack of essentials and treats . We had everything we could  need for our stay. We were mentally prepared for some noise from the nearest small airport  as was written in the end of flat advertisement , but unfortunately was so beautiful and peaceful in the garden . We really enjoyed our stay . Very friendly and welcoming host.  Highly recommended place!

Quiet, no traffic noise, beautiful surroundings, superb set up, a home from home.

Lovely accommodation, beautifully situated, only 15 minutes from Chester city centre and with excellent shopping facilities just down the road.

Well placed for good road access to North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire. A most enjoyable holiday and will certainly return again.

The flat was very convenient for us.

Also very close to a large Shopping centre was a plus. Just thought that the Curtains could do with being shorter so as Not to cover the Radiators- net curtains may also be helpful.

Well managed accommodation with extra finishing touches of a welcome pack for us and the dog.

It was immaculately clean with thought put in to keep it covid secure. It was a good size apartment for a family of 4 with a small dog, in an ideal location to discover the North Welsh coast as well as Chester and surrounding areas. Having a retail park so close with cinema was ideal for bored teenagers whilst we travelled further afield. The rooms were simply furnished ideal for a puppy that chews everything. We had to keep him on lead in the small garden as it was only a simple fence. There was also access to the farmer's field if he needed more space to explore. Definitely would recommend as an ideal base to explore the area. Easy to find, right next to the airbus factory, although this did not bother us at all. We kept missing the big transporter aeroplane's daily flight which we actually wanted to see close up. 5* stay for us.

This was a beautiful little apartment and exceeded our expectation, we had a lovely little enclosed garden which was great for the dogs.

The apartment is far more roomy than the photo's look. There was some lovely little extra's; tea loaf, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, washing up equipment provided, there was a desk full for activities for children (although we did not need it) and very clean. Great value for money, a nice base to relax and travel to Chester, the Beach etc. Would definitely stay again :-)

The apartment was very spacious and lovely furnished.

The owners were very hospitable. The apartment is in a great place and near chester etc. We just had a problem with the guests upstairs with children who were very noisy , especially late at night and early morning. It was Not just normal noise from kids which is acceptable I understand children need to play ,it was constant noise and banging. The owners did talk to them in flat 2 and did there best to resolve the problem, which was appreciated

A property fairly new to the holiday rental market.

A great location, close to amenities although enough green space around. Great for visiting Chester and North Wales. Well equipped, only downside is the hand held shower. It could really do with a proper shower, even being very careful, we could not help but get the floor splashed, we did mop up immediately but they may find the flooring will not last long.

It would have been good to have a proper walk in shower as showering in the bath with no screen is difficult, and we were careful not to get water everywhere.

Also a towel rail in the bathroom would be helpful. Other than that our host's had thought of everything and the flat was very well equipped, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Well House Farm proved to an excellent choice.

It was the perfect location for quick and easy access to Chester, but was also in a countryside setting, which was ideal for our dog.
