Once inside, the cottage’s character becomes clear through its solid stone walls, deep window sills and rustic beams that bring heritage into every corner.
The kitchen features glimmering grey countertops, a wooden dining table and white cabinetry, creating a bright and welcoming place to turn up the heat on the integrated gas hob and prepare a flavourful family meal, enhanced by the contrast of the grey tiled wall.
Wooden flooring leads through to the sitting room where a stone fireplace houses an electric fire set deep within the hearth, casting the gentle ambience of a traditional woodburning stove as you relax on the corner leather sofa with a book or enjoy time together.
Beyond the sitting room, the conservatory fills with natural light and offers a restful space to enjoy a quiet drink while looking out towards the garden.
Heading upstairs, the carpeted bedrooms offer soothing retreats, with the double room opening onto a decked balcony with a bistro table and chairs where you can take in the fresh air and distant sea views, while the twin room is flexible for different group arrangements.
The bathroom encourages relaxation after long days, whether you sink into the bathtub or revive yourself under the walk in shower.
Outside, the gravelled courtyard garden provides space for open‑air dining or peaceful moments in the fresh air, while nearby nature walks and horse riding routes make the most of the semi rural location.
Abergele town centre is within a short drive for shops, leisure facilities and daily essentials, and the A55 Expressway gives easy access along the North Wales coast.

We loved staying at Ivy Cottage.
It was perfect for 2 friends to relax and have a cozy space to come home to after adventuring around the area. There is so much to do and Ivy Cottage was a perfect homebase. I enjoyed the electric fireplace and huge bathtub. The only thing missing for me was a coffee maker, but there is a kettle for hot water. Thank you so much. We miss the cottage already!
We had a short break in this delightful quirky property and loved the rural location but near enough to Abergele for shops and eateries.
Cottage clean, comfortable, homey with everything we needed apart from a measuring jug. Delighted with small extras provided by owner- dog blankets, treats, bowls and a welcome pack for us plus toiletries in bathroom should we have required them. Obviously the property is old and characterful but the conservatory and outside area made for bright modern dining options. Would definitely book here again. Great location to use as base for visits Rhyl, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, Prestatyn etc .Lovely scenic walks locally too.
