This place was as described and photos were accurate.

Very comfy and stylish and everything you needed. I did think we were closer to Tywyn..but that's me not checking!! It's 20 mins down the road. We did lots of walking and was great to come back to such a comfortable and clean place

Apart from water pressure when needing hot water being sluggish it has been one of the nicest cottages that we have stayed in.

The community is friendly and welcoming which is a huge bonus but my favourite place was the garden which was so picturesque as we were surrounded by mountain views. Will definitely book again.

Booked this cottage by All the brilliant reviews ,We Even booked another week in July before we had even set foot in the cottage .

So Glad we did what a lovely cottage it is ,very clean ,Beds were very comfy Everything you need is supplied even an Air fryer

A great place to stay!

It was immaculate when we got there with a great welcome pack highlighting where you could go.

This was a beautiful, clean and well equiped place to stay.

The whole cottage was warm welcoming and decorated to a very high standard. Would definately stay again. There are some beautiful walks near by, and so many hiking trails. Fantastic area

Our fourth visit to Arthur’s Cottage and once again it didn’t disappoint.

The cottage is spotlessly clean and really well equipped (the addition of an Air Fryer was great) with everything you need for a relaxing visit. Warm rooms and a nice welcome pack was really appreciated post the drive up, little touches which set everything up perfectly. Great stay once again, many thanks.

It was nicely furnished and had everything you would expect. An enclosed garden, private car parking and helpful information. The village is quite remote and there is no shop anywhere nearby. The Railway pub serves excellent food and there are good, if steep, walks from the door. The scenery is fantastic.

Had a lovely week in Arthur's cottage.

It's the perfect base to get out and about. It was the personal touches that made it special, the body and hand washes the throws plenty of towels & hairdryer. The enclosed garden was idyllic sitting in the sunshine listening to the waterfalls.We have already booked for next year

We returned for a second visit after a wonderful holiday last year.

Even though the weather was so different this year, strong winds and heavy rain, we were not disappointed. The cottage is situated in a lovely village ideally located for touring a spectacular region of Wales. The Railway Inn, literally over the road, serves excellent home cooked food and serves an ever changing range of local beers. A short walk away finds the Talyllyn Railway which is well worth a visit. Everyone in the village is very friendly, one even took time to find some local books to lend to us during our stay. Everything you could need is provided, to a high standard, in the cottage including a Nespresso coffee machine and Milk Frother for the coffee lover. Finishing touches like this really make it a standout cottage. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and is really comfortable. The two gardens are great for the dogs and sitting out in, especially if the weather is good. A true Miner’s cottage full of character! We hope to return in the future and would highly recommend it.

Our second visit to Arthur's Cottage.

Just as enjoyable as the first time!!! A beautiful property in an Idea setting. Everything in the cottage is of the highest quality, from the kitchen equipment to the furnishings throughout the property. Super comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. Spotlessly clean and superb attention to details throughout. It's in a perfect position for exploring North and Mid Wales. The cottage a credit to it's owners

We love Arthur’s cottage, it is clean, comfortable and a relaxing place to stay also it is well equipped The gardens are lovely to sit out in surrounded by hills and secure for our dog.

Good food at the Railway Inn and at the hotel by Talyllyn Lake, plus plenty of choice at the chippy in Aberdyfi to take and eat on the beach. Lots of walks from the door or a short drive away in wonderful countryside The beautiful beaches are also a short drive away., we go to Aberdyfi and Fairbourne to give our dog a run We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return

Arthurs cottage is a wonderful base/location for visiting this area of North Wales.

The cottage is beautifully furnished and both comfortable and cosy to relax in. There are two gardens (front and back) to sit and take in the views all around which are absolutely stunning!! Loved the personal touches such as glass bottles containing shampoo/handwash/washing up liquid etc. Highly recommend.

Lovely cottage in a gorgeous location

What a fabulous cottage, so cosy, clean and comfortable, and in such a beautiful setting.

My husband and I [and our two dogs Flo & Nellie] spent a very relaxing week in Arthur's Cottage. Everything is provided . It's a real home from home. The garden, surrounded by rolling green hills, is a lovely place to sit and listen to the bird song. The Railway Inn, just a stones throw away is an added bonus, providing great food and very friendly staff. Good breakfast too at Y Caffi. Both establishments are dog friendly. If you enjoy peace and quiet and like to get away from it all then Arthur's Cottage is for you. We would highly recommend you stay in this very beautiful part of Wales.

Arthur's Cottage was fabulous!

We had an amazing holiday, the best 'doggy holiday' we've ever had. The cottage was very well furnished, tastefully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable. We had great nights' sleep in the king-size bed; the kitchen was very well equipped (we had everything we needed and more); wonderful modern showers; and the very secure and pretty garden was loved by us and our dog to chill out in each day. Super location, excellent views, peaceful, lots of lovely walks and the beach is only a 20 minutes pleasant drive away. Great friendly pub just a short walk down the road. We will definitely return! Highly recommended!

It never disappoints. Lots of lovely walks in the area. Cottage is kept so nice and always immaculate. Have stayed in a few dog friendly cottages and they have not always been very clean. THIS IS ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL. Thank you

We had a lovely holiday at Arthur's cottage it was everything we hoped for.

One small point having to vacate on our last day at 10am was perfectly understandable. But not being able to gain entry until 5pm on our day of arrival is far too late. It means you lose a total day from your holiday. A more realistic arrival time would be between 2pm and 3pm. This would still allow a minimum cleaning time of 4 to 5 hours.

Very clean and cosy cottage!

Just returned from a lovely holiday in an excellent cottage.

It has everything we needed, including a Nespresso coffee machine which was a real bonus! The furniture including the bedrooms is all very comfortable and the decor, particularly the spectacular slate wall in the double bedroom all create an excellent ambience to the cottage. We ate, including breakfast, outside whenever the weather permitted taking in the lovely views all around. The gardens are excellent for sitting in and enjoying the good weather and also totally contained for our two dogs to run around in. The Railway Inn, over the road, offers an excellent choice of local beers as well as the more traditional plus superb home cooked food at lunch and in the evening. There are lots of places to visit within a short drive. A ride on the Talyllyn Railway is a must! You can hear the train and catch glimpses of it through the trees from the back garden. Whilst there we had a visit from the original Arthur’s brother who was back in the area for a visit. It was good having a chat with him about the house and village. We would highly recommend it and hope to return next year.

Arthur’s cottage was lovely.

Very clean, fresh decor, comfy beds and furniture, pretty gardens which were safe and secure for our dog, everything needed for holiday home comfort. Perfect position in the village, easy access and parking, great location to visit the surrounding area. Would highly recommend.

Arthur's cottage is a lovely place to stay in a quiet village from where you can choose different walks with a cafe opposite and a pub only a few yards away.

It is decorated tastefully and has first class equipment and showers. It has everything you need for a holiday. The cottage is well situated to visit different places including a forest, lovely Aberdifi and Barmouth which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Yet another great stay at this wonderful cottage Five star!

I came across this cottage by chance when searching for dog friendly cottages and how pleased I am to have found it!

The cottage was 100% perfect for our needs and plenty of room for us, as a couple, two dogs plus two granddaughters aged 4 and 10. Everything was so thoughtfully presented, with lovely little touches (torches in bedside drawers) plus everywhere was meticulously clean and uplifting. The secure little gardens, as well as the many breathtaking walks straight out of the door were also a real bonus. We enjoyed the little railway, Magic Lanten Cinema in Towyn and King Arthur’s Labyrinth. Aberdovey and Towyn beaches provided fun for the dogs and plenty of paddling for the girls. Finally the owners were great with their communication and couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating- a huge thank you!

Really lovely cottage, appreciated the extra touches like the torches.

Felt homely and was great to come back to at the end of the day. Loved the decor. The enclosed garden was fantastic for my dogs. To prevent dogs going upstairs a stair gate or barrier would be good. I think there’s a lovely castor oil plant in the back garden but it’s poisonous to dogs

An absolutely immaculately presented cottage.

Parking not as hazardous as suggested as the road is so quiet - only the rushing falls to listen to at night. Walking the dogs up the lane needs some cardiac fitness! Great location for aberdovey, Tywyn, Machynlleth, Barmouth, Dolgellau, beach, Cader Idris (No of course we didn’t, we couldn’t even see the top) Talyllyn railway. The Brit in Aberdovey remains the best pub, Millie and Sid’s in Tywyn is a great place to eat out. Could not have hoped for a lovelier place to stay - thank you!

Spent last week at Arthur's cottage just perfect.

This cottage is fantastic has got everything you need. The owners have put lots of nice finishing touches, it is very homely as soon as you walk in. The cleanliness is spot on all through. We had a great week lots of nice places to explore..Dolgech falls is worth a visit. The cafe opposite the cottage is worth a visit, the breakfast is a must. Our little dog enjoyed his sausage very welcoming. We will definitely return in the future to this truly amazing cottage. Thanks again to the owners for a very pleasant stay.

Just returned from a wonderful week at Arthur’s Cottage.

The cottage is perfect for a relaxing break and feels welcoming and homely as soon as you walk through the door. It is decorated to a high standard with comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. The two gardens are secure for pets and have stunning views. We went on the Talyllyn Railway which was great and a step back in time. You could catch a glimpse of the train from the back garden and hear its toots! We also visited Tywyn one evening to take a beautiful sunset photo. Tyn y Cornel is a good place for a drink by the lake. Gorgeous setting and we were treated to a RAF fly past! Would definitely like to return one day and would recommend this cottage.

A fabulous cottage beautifully decorated, comfortable furniture and beds.

Small well equipped kitchen and a safe outside space for everyone to enjoy. This was our second visit and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a relaxing stay in beautiful rural Wales. The location allows you to explore surrounding towns, beaches and the most breathtaking countryside.

A comfy,cosy cottage.

Good facilities and really comfortable beds. Small kitchen but adequate for 4adults. Plenty of lovely walks and wonderful scenery. Enjoyable stay had by all!

Beautiful Cottage in the perfect location.

The front and back gardens are fully enclosed for dog to run free. The sun shines in both front and back from sunrise to sunset. You can walk from the cottage for 10 minutes up the hill and be at a mountain waterfall. The Cafe opposite is open for breakfast from 0900 to 1400 Tuesday to Friday and 1000 to 1500 on Saturdays and Sundays. I recommend the full breakfast (they even cater for dogs, Buddy loved his morning sausage.) Ample parking for 2 cars with overflow parking in the free carpark opposite the Cottage. We Like it so much that we have booked for next year already !

The cottage was lovely the little extras like the tea and coffee and biscuits just made it all feel extra special.

The cottage was very clean and tidy and felt very welcoming when we arrived. We had a really nice stay and definitely would highly recommend! Both me and my husband definitely would stay again in the future.

Excellent & comfortable cottage with lovely outside space front & rear, both of which were dog-friendly.

Abergynolwyn falls are right on the doorstep, the blue walk (about 6k) is well worth doing although might be a bit muddy if it has been raining recently. Shame the pub was closed (again) but the Ty'n y Cornel hotel on the Tal-y-llyn isn't too far and has lovely lake views.

Arthur's Cottage was superb, immaculately clean and with well thought out facilities.

The location is perfect for both the coast and Snowdonia National Park and the re-opening of the village pub and cafe gives you the option of eating out without having to drive. It would be difficult to find a better appointed cottage within the region and we would recommend it to couples and families.

Arthur’s Cottage is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location, ideal for walking and also visiting nearby beaches.

Directions provided made it really easy to find. The cottage is all really tasteful and well equipped with all you need and also extras like a slow cooker, coffee machine board games and hairdryers, there was even a bara brith waiting for us and dog treats which was lovely. It was very clean and well maintained. The owners are really helpful and good at communicating, providing instructions for the log burner and messaging on our arrival. We very much enjoyed our stay despite the gales and rain and were warm and cosy throughout.

Situated in the middle of the village Arthur’s Cottage is ideally located for access onto beautiful country walks, alongside the waterfalls, and all local facilities. The cottage is very well equipped with all the facilities you would want - espresso machine, dishwasher, log burner, good Wi-Fi, great en-suite shower etc. Overall a fantastic stay in a great place.

This is a gem of a cottage in a great location.

Walks from the door and only 7 miles to the coast. The views are stunning and the surrounding countryside is truly fantastic. I would thoroughly recommend a stay in Arthur’s Cottage.

The area is great for walkers, and behind the cottage is a walking area full of surprises .. we loved it and hope to return .. the closed pub has also just reopened ..

We book a cottage every year and Arthur's Cottage is the best one we have ever been to.

We honestly cannot recommend it enough, it far exceeded our expectations. It is cosy, comfortable, has excellent facilities, has lovely character and a very pretty enclosed garden that was very safe for our furbabies and with spectacular views front and back. We couldn't believe how close all the beautiful walks are.. spectacular waterfall woodland walks just 5 minutes walk up lane from back gate, and a beautiful mountain walk just over 5 minutes from front gate down far side of play park. Short drives to Tywyn, Aberdyfi, and castell y bere which we loved, and many other magical places. We highly recommend booking Arthur's Cottage, you definitely won't be disappointed. Very good communication off the lovely owners too.

This was our first visit to South Snowdonia and Arthur’s Cottage was an ideal base for exploring the area, being well positioned for both hills and coast.

The cottage has been recently renovated to a very high standard, is very well equipped and comfortable and we were able to use the outside space as the weather was kind to us. Contact with the owners was prompt and friendly, they let us know by text when the cottage was ready for us. Sadly, the pub and cafe in the village are both closed at the moment, perhaps casualties of the lock downs.
