Wonderful lakeside balconied accommodation.

Our 4th visit, fabulous location, stayed in 3 of the 5 apartments, all excellent and Beatrice is a lovely host.

Tegid Lakeside was a well laid-out, clean, comfy and bright place to enjoy our stay, and the balcony was a real bonus.

We spent most afternoons on here watching the lake activities, ducks and other birds until sunset. Beatrice is a great host and was super friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. The directions to find the cottage were easy to follow and the parking was ample. We will definitely be staying here again.

We have just returned from our second stay at Glan Y Gro Apartments and are already looking forward to our return!

From the moment we turned into the drive, we instantly felt relaxed at this beautiful, tranquil place. On arrival, we received a lovely warm welcome from Beatrix the owner, who somehow manages to run these beautiful apartments and sprawling grounds and woodlands, in a superefficient and yet, totally laid back, manner. She really does go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The apartments are wonderful, ours had the most amazing view of the lake and a fantastic power shower. The kitchen was very thoughtfully equipped, and we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay. On every stroll around the grounds, we seemed to discover something new – it’s all in the little details. The view of the lake is absolutely stunning, and for anyone who loves wildlife and the outdoors, a stay here is a must.

A perfect appartment to relax and enjoy, no need to move if you don't want to.

The accommodation was oustanding in a very convenient part of the lake being very close to the town and the outdoors centre where you can hire all forms of aquatic sports equipment, from paddle boards to rowing boats. The owner and host Beatrice, was a delight. I hope to return next year and then, maybe, catch some fish!

Had a nice relaxing time the apartment was very comfortable and very clean and the lakeside view was incredible.

Beatrice was a fantastic host and there was milk and bottled water in the fridge and a great selection of tea and coffee.would highly recommend this property.

Nothing seemed too much trouble.

Warm welcome and brief tour of the facilities. We had a minor problem with our bathroom due to an electrical fault, this was dealt with swiftly and efficiently. Accommodation thoughtfully planned and laid out. The location is awesome.

Another wonderful stay on the edge of Lake Bala.

The apartment was extremely comfortable and we were able to sit on the balcony overlooking the lake and watch the wildlife. We kayaked on the water and also swam. The surroundings were idyllic and very peaceful. Our host Beatrice was very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. This was our second visit and we hope to return.

Our 1st visit to Bala and it certainly not our last mainly due to our gorgeous apartment at Tegid lakeside, Beatrice was the most lovely, kind, wonderful host we have ever met she felt like a friend when we left

We had the most wonderful week here on Bala lake , the surrounding Mountain View’s were incredible .

Our room was spotlessly clean & it had everything you needed in the kitchen . The bed was very comfortable , our room had a facing patio door leading onto the balcony, it was the best views to wake up to . We always rate the shower out of 10 wherever we go and this one was a 10+. You could walk around the garden surrounded by trees , the birds were singing away it’s just so idyllic, you’ll love it ! and the family of ducks on the lake was such a delightful sight to see . They have one room ground level the other 3 rooms are accessed by stairs . This place is an absolute must to stay , we will definitely be coming back . Sarah & Mark

I loved my stay here as it is a beautiful and relaxing place.

The apartment is lovely, very comfortable and well maintained. I was very lucky with the weather, which was perfect to enjoy the stunning view from the balcony. The owner, Beatrice, is very welcoming and helpful. I will definitely visit again and have already recommended it to friends.

These people who Owen the property are 1 of the best couple we have come across in the holiday lettings as generally wanting you to have a great time and relaxing time.

They are welcoming and so friendly when you arrive and if there is anything they can do on your stay they will try for you. This is a place to go and unwind watching wildlife but bala is a great central area for going around a beautiful country see the site's. For this type of holiday this is a place I would very highly recommend.

found this amazing apartment right on the lake edge with a balcony overlooking the lake. The apartment was spotlessly clean and had every comfort we needed for a few days peace and quiet. On arrival we were met by the owners Beatrice and Dennis who made us very welcome and we would highly recommend this property and love to come back sometime

The apartment is beautifully situated right on the lakeside.

It's very quiet and peaceful and the ideal place to recharge your batteries. The host is a lovely lady, very friendly and keen to ensure that your stay goes without a hitch. The apartment is well equipped, warm and comfortable and very clean. I have no "buts" about this place its lovely, and conviniently situated for getting out and enjoying beautiful Snowdonia. Book with confidence, we highly recommended this listing.

A superb property in a glorious setting.

We were welcomed by Bernice, the owner, who very quickly made us feel at home. Our stay in Tegid Lakeside was most enjoyable - almost like being aboard a ship - and we would very much like a return visit.

.. If your looking for great walks scenery. Quiet and peaceful. A fab host in Beatrice. Comfortable and cosy apartment right on lake. We would like to keep it a secret but fabulous place for us to stay and recharge our energies. Even if weather was against us. We felt so lucky to stay there.

We had a fabulous short stay in Tegid this October.

It was just warm enough for me to swim in the lake, and the apartment balcony leads directly onto the lakeshore. Magical! The self-contained apartment is very well set up, with a separate bedroom, kitchenette/lounge area and wetroom with a large shower. Both the bedroom and the lounge open onto the covered balcony, with chairs outside so you can enjoy the glorious air and views. Owner Beatrice is really helpful and very welcoming. There's tea, coffee, milk and biccies to greet you on arrival. We tend to eat main meals in town (can recommend Cafe Cyffnod and Plas yn Dre) and the multi-oven and toaster are more than sufficient for breakfast and light meals. You can hear some sounds from the other apartments and above, but it's never been intrusive or a problem - and we've stayed in different apartments here for many years! There's plenty of parking away from the road, zero traffic noise and all the comforts of home. At night, with the window open, the only sounds are the water in the lake, the wind in the trees, and wildlife. It's fabulous.

Apartment was lovely, very clean, very comfortable n warm. View from lounge and bedroom outstanding and great location for days out to Barmouth etc. Would defo recommend to friends and family. Owners were lovely and friendly

Really lovely, friendly hosts, amazing location and views.

We had a great stay, visiting the nearby mountain ranges for hiking interspersed with relaxing on our balcony looking over the lake and swimming. There isn't a hob in the apartment, only a combination microwave and oven or slow cooker. We took our pressure cooker, as we're vegetarian and we were perfectly content. There are shops a mile or two away in Bala town, with a really friendly and well stocked green grocers. We would love to come back again.

Another lovely stay by the lake - and our first time in the Tegid apartment.

Entirely comfortable and spacious; great facilities. The internet connection has definitely improved! Lovely to meet the new host, Beatrice, and the gardens are looking much happier. A great place to stay if you're a swimmer like me - even though the weather wasn't too warm the water was wonderfully fresh! (Although I admit I missed having a long soak in a hot bath after a swim...) The access to the lake from this apartment is superb, just a few steps away from the balcony. And I really appreciated the drip-rack to hang my soggy gear out to dry :-) Will definitely be back - thoroughly recommended.

We have just spent a wonderful week in Tegid apartment, which is right on the lake with easy access for a bit of wild swimming.

Beatrice and Dennis were perfect hosts and on hand if needed. We cant forget the gorgeous Huni (the dog) who will give you a welcome if out on one of her strolls. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

A fabulous location and property - could not recommend it more highly.

The facilities were exceptional - just what we were looking for - clean, comfortable and homely. The views are amazing. Beatrice and Dennis were wonderful friendly hosts, going out of their way to make our stay a pleasant and memorable one. 10/10.

We really enjoyed our stay.

Our hosts were fantastic, so friendly, pleasant and helpful. The apartment was just what we needed for a much needed relaxing break. The apartment was very comfortable with the balcony becoming a regular place to sit with a drink each evening. The owners, having not owned the property for many months, are working on the garden that was apparently very overgrown, and is already a place to wander by the lakeside. There is also a summerhouse looking over the lake and woodland, with the Bala small gauge railway running directly behind the property. A place that we will be staying again for sure!

Had a fantastic stay in tegid apartment.

Peaceful area, great view of the lake and the apartment was very spacious. Beatrice greeted us on arrival which is always nice. We didn't see much of her but she lives upstairs or was a phonecall away if we had any issues. Highly recommend staying in this apartment.

The views from both the bedroom and front room are amazing and the host Beatrice was very polite and friendly. We will be looking to stay again in the future.

We had a lovely 5 night stay at Tegid.

We were met by Briggitte when we arrived, who showed us to our apartment. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It had amazing views across the lake from both sets of patio doors- one from the bedroom and one from the lounge/dining area. Spacious parking facilities. There was perfectly adequate kitchen equipment for us to make breakfast and a couple of basic dinners. An omelette maker and slowcooker were provided but we didn't use them. The combination oven was easy to use and cooked everything nicely. No hob in the apartment, but a Nespresso coffee machine, toaster and kettle were there. Lots of lovely hot water for showers after a long day walking, and a very comfy bed. Easy to walk into Bala town and we had dinner one night at the John Lewis hotel -which was in easy walking distance. All in all a lovely apartment, in a fabulous location. Highly recommended. We plan to return.
