The constant banging of fire doors when people come and go to other floors No respect for others although it does mention in the book to please be considered others when closing doors The 6am wake up by bin collection on different days and the noise levels from glass bottles collected from next door Pub one side and bar other side always noise till stupid o’clock The constant loud noise early hours of the main high street….
it is not peaceful or quiet The smell of bins in bedroom and dampness in the walls this is a smell u can’t change I would not recommend and would not stay here again It’s a shame the upkeep of the bin waste outside and the cleanliness of inside needs to be improved
Thank you for your further feedback. As outlined in our response to your previous comments, we are sorry that the apartment did not meet your expectations. The apartment is advertised as being in a central High Street location, close to pubs, bars, restaurants and other amenities. While many guests value being in the heart of the town, this does mean that some external street and commercial noise can occasionally be heard, which unfortunately is outside of our control. The internal doors are fire doors and are required to close securely for safety reasons. This again is outside of our control, but of paramount importance. We nevertheless ask all guests to be considerate of others when entering and leaving the building. We would also like to reassure future guests that there is no dampness. We take any suggestion of damp, odours or cleanliness concerns seriously and would always investigate these promptly. As we explained during your stay, we repeatedly offered to attend the apartment and asked for our cleaning team to be authorised access so that the concerns you raised could be inspected and, where necessary, rectified. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to do so, despite our numerous offers. We are sorry that the apartment was not suited to your requirements. We will, as always, continue to take guest feedback seriously and address anything within our control.
Cooking facilities was I’m possible due to the property not being checked and cleaned Rusty microwave dirty oven and over used burt toaster Dirty shower not cleaned out drain years of mould and hair buildup it smells The bins for all properties are outside bedroom window so all can smell is sticky bins overflowing and drains The bed was not clean later found urine stains The whole place smelt of dusty dog and smelly drains Congealed milk stain under fridge just over all not cleaned and not comfortable

During your stay, whenever concerns were raised with us, we offered to attend the apartment and arrange for our cleaning team to inspect and address any issues. Unfortunately, we were not given access to the apartment, which meant that we were unable to inspect or rectify the concerns raised at the time. We also provided compensation and additional assistance during your stay, and replacement appliances were made available in an effort to address the concerns that had been raised. Some of the issues mentioned in this review, including the reported drain smell and bedding concerns, were not raised with us during your stay, so we were not given the opportunity to investigate or resolve them at the time. We would also like to clarify that Emerald Suite does not permit dogs and, therefore, we would not expect a dog related odour to have originated from a guest’s dog staying in the apartment. We are genuinely sorry that your experience did not meet the standard we aim to provide. We always welcome guests raising concerns with us during their stay, as this gives us the opportunity to investigate matters promptly and, wherever possible, put things right.
This is the second time that we have stayed in this apartment.
We like that it is in a central location. As we were on the first floor and my husband had difficulty with our suitcases the landlord was on the premises and he kindly helped us for which we were very grateful. Another selling point is the car park pass that comes with the property. Barmouth is a lovely holiday town and always draws us back.

Lovely flat in an excellent location.
The flat is very comfortable and the kitchen very well equipped despite being small. Close to amenities and just a short stroll to the harbour. My only gripe is that the microwave is quite high up and as I'm only 5ft tall I was having to lift things over my head which could be hazardous.

The apartment is in a great position with restaurants, and other places to eat being within a few metres.
Very good location for lovely walks and cycling on the Mawddach Trail. Stunning scenery. There were a couple of maintenance issues eg the sealant in the shower needs treating for mildew, but on the whole the flat was clean and comfortable.

Excellent flat.
Will be back. Clean, well equipped and great views. Only small issues for me personallt being disabled and sight impaired were : 1. No second rail on internal stairways. 2. No white edges to external steps. 3. Unable to locate alarm bell inside suite when looking after fire inspection? Overall a brilliant place to stay. A real gem. Friend had rose suite a5 same time and same 8ssue with rails on stairs. Small alterations would make these perfect rentals.
The noise from the above had us awake at 06:45 every day.
You can hear every footstep. Their washing machine was on at that time some days and one day late in the evening. Towels totally insufficient for a weeks stay. One roll of toilet paper which was so poor quality it was unusable. Pans in the kitchen were filthy, though otherwise it was clean. There was a complimentary bottle of wine, but only one wine glass. Location is great. We knew the road would be noisy, especially as there are temporary traffic lights literally outside the front door, so we were fine with that. Car windscreen was broken in the car park.

This is the second time we've stayed in the Emerald Suite and once again we were very happy with it - it's comfortable and very well-situated, with views of the Quay from the front window!
The only very small note I would give is that we had some issues with the fridge-freezer: some lamb steaks we placed in the fridge ended up partially frozen, and some ice cream we put in the freezer compartment was half-melted when we took it out. This appliance might need looking at, but that's a minor issue. Other than that, another lovely stay and we'd recommend the place to anyone.

Great location, and a comfortable retreat after the many activities, from mountain biking at Coed y Brenin, walking up and down Cadir Idris, cycling over the bridge and along the estuary to Dolgellau and back, and exploring in the hills directly behind the property.
A lovely living area, with a great view while eating breakfast. Nice and warm for a mid October break in the changeable weather of stunning Wales.

Our 4th return visit: says it all.
Minor maintenance points: 1) kitchenette lower window panel ajar, not sececurable (noticed with strong Westerly winds), 2) weak toilet flush. Else all good.
We very much enjoyed our stay in the Emerald Suite and it was very central to all the local facilities.
We very much appreciated the inclusion of the car park pass and that alone would encourage us to stay in the property again. It was also a lovely touch that the owner left a welcome bottle of wine and biscuits, both were appreciated. The only negatives were that we both enjoy reading and me my needlework in the evenings but the lights in the lounge were not conclusive to either very well. A reading spotlight would be a good addition. We were also concerned that there was no mattress protector and that the pillows were badly stained. We would certainly recommend the property to other people as it was a lovely place to stay.

This is our 3rd stay in Emerald which speaks for itself.
This time we had the bonus of blue skies and sunshine for 6 of 7 days. We're now poised to re book for the Barmouth Walks fest next September.

The apartment is superbly located, clean, close to car parking, buses and trains.

The apartment was extremely well equipped with everything we needed to make it a home from home experience.

Clean flat, ideally located.
Toilet seat very loose, quite dangerous.Enjoyed our stay there.
A lovely clean apartment on the main street leading to the harbour side (can get a little noisy with traffic during the day if you have the windows open but we were out exploring so it didn't bother us).
Lovely views from the sash windows of the mountains and great for watching the clouds roll in from them. Perfect location for exploring Barmouth and nearby coastal walks. The parking pass was very welcome as was the welcome pack of milk etc, would have been nice to maybe have some salt and pepper included too. Would very much recommend this property

Yes we had a lovely stay at the Emerald suite right near the beach,shops and Amenities.
The apartment was smart/clean and spacious it had everything you needed the only thing I would say was the fridge freezer was alittle on the small side. I would well recommend this apartment to anyone great location Thank you Gillian Martin

Fantastic apartment, clean central location comfortable.
Even though on mane road you dont really hear any traffic etc. Complimentary bag is a warm welcome. I may have overlooked that this is advertised, but there is a washing machine, iron and hairdryer within the apartment. We will be looking at booking again for new year. We have been holidaying in Barmouth for years, and this apartment is our favourite

We had a great week in this beautiful apartment.
It was very clean and comfortable with lovely views over estuary. The apartment was well located for all our needs, very close to the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. We would definitely use this apartment again

The apartment was excellent, everything you need in a kitchen, disappointed that we had to make our own bed which we have never had to do before, thought that would have been done for us.
A lot of mentions with regards to a welcome bag, ours contained 3 dish washer tablets, 1 hot chocolate sachet, 3 portions of milk, 7 sugars and 2 coffee sachets, it seems this was made up of what was left from other apartments, as for dish washer tablets we did not have a dish washer in our apartments. These comments do not have any reflections upon this 1st class apartment, well decorated, well located and great view of the harbour . Great sitting at table looking through window watching the world go by. Would certainly recommend. IF YOU PUBLISH FEEDBACK PLEASE REMOVE COMMENTS ABOUT BED NOT BEEN MADE AND WELCOME PACK AS THESE SHOULD NOT REFLECT ON THIS EXCELLENT APARTMENT. THANK YOU

The Welcome Pack doesn’t sound right either. We will of course feed this back to the cleaners who help us to do the change overs. The holiday property is well located in the Barmouth coastal/estuary which is perfect for exploring North/Central Wales by car and public transport.
The flat itself is clean comfortable and well equipped with recent equipment e.g TV, fridge, microwave, oven, shower etc.. The only negative would be the Front door key safe which was very difficult to pull open despite having entered the correct number. Yet the key safe for the Emerald flat door opened easily. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will/would stay in the same flat again if in the area.

My wife and I regularly stay in self catering apartments and can honestly say that we found this to be one of the best ever.

Very tastefully decorated and clean property situated right in the heart of Barmouth.
Everything you might need included for a comfortable stay, and even though it was very busy managed to get a parking space , the parking permit was a very welcome addition. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and hopefully will return.

Lovely modern apartment.
Couldn't fault it at all.free parking pass an added bonus,and nice touch.brilliant location.bed really comfy.others mention possibly a bit hard,but we are all different. We didn't need extra bedding,but as per comment book,some people might. Owners have set it all up beautifully. 10 out of 10.

Emerald Suite has been done out very well with everything you need in a smallish space.
The door entry system does need looking at though as it doesn't always work. The apartment is near everything and a short stroll to the beach with a view of the harbour. Lovely place to stay.
Lovely apartment, good location in the centre of Barmouth.
Can be quite noisy due to location of bins in the side ally. Gorgeous beach 2mins away. Would recommend the Tilman Bar just over the road and the fish and chips shop few doors down. Parking is in the main car park, about 5mins walk. You can usually unload outside before parking up.
Everything that we needed for a great holiday.
