Owners are welcoming and helpful. Peaceful and comfortable refuge with great views and garden.

Glynes & Alun made you feel very welcome in their beautiful bungalow from start to finish.

Nothing was too much trouble. The bungalow had everything you needed facilities wise. The views were lovely overlooking the valley. We had excellent weather sometimes a bit too hot but you cant do anything about that.

Without any doubt this is the most comprehensively equipped cottage we have rented!

Stunning views. Everything we needed. Perfect size for 2. Owners friendly and helpful. Bathroom light bulb blew in the morning, and had been replaced by time we came home at end of the day. Loved watching the variety of birds that came, including a woodpecker. Bed really comfy and property had such a cosy feel to it and the peace and quiet was wonderful. We really hope to come back again, it was perfect for us. Thankyou Glenys and Alun for being lovely hosts, and for the biscuits, Welsh cakes and milk. Hope to see you again soon.

Llety Nest is a comfortable, cozy and clean bungalow, attached to the owners' property.

It sits in an elevated, yet sheltered position, with stunning views of hills and mountains. The home has everything you need for your stay and the owner makes it feel like your home from home. The whole area beyond the house is gorgeous, and if you love nature in abundance, this is for you. I can't recommend Llety Nest highly enough and there is plenty to do out and about, whatever time of year you visit. We will be back again without doubt. Thank you, Glenys and Alun.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, then this is the one for you.

Very clean, comfy bed, proper bath sheets, which is always a plus in my book. Fresh milk in the fridge for your arrival and biscuits too, thank you! Glenys meets you at the door, which was a nice touch, and then your left to your own devices. We found this property to be a good base to tour around the area. If you go into Dolgellau, make sure you visit 'The Torrent' pub. The food is lovely and so are the staff. be warned, it does get very busy around 5pm.

Lovely cottage, very well equipped everything you could want and more.

We arrived to a welcome note telling us there was milk in the fridge and to enjoy the biscuits and Welsh cakes on the side. The garden is so peaceful and full of colour, a wonderful place to stay will definitely be back. Thank you Glenys and Alun

Our stay in Llety Nest was fantastic.

The owners were welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was first rate and perfect for our trip. We could see why many others have stayed here many times. The place was spotless, spacious and it was always lovely to return from outings to gaze at the scenery and watch the birds on the feeders. Thank you for a lovely visit.

The kitchen was the best equipped we have seen. The washing machine and dryer were very welcome. The owner Glenys was very helpful and the instructions to find it were very accurate. Best to arrive in daylight to find it. The area is a little remote from shops, restaurants etc, but easy to cook in or get TA from nearby places. Such a lovely quiet area. Sunsets were spectacular!

What a great little cottage, absolutely everything you could need, comfy, well equipped, light, airy, spotlessly clean, stunning setting, great hosts, very friendly but not intrusive, perfect blend for a relaxed break.

The accommodation was first class warm and inviting hosts form start to finish , the views were amazing form both living room window and bedroom, very quite and tranquil place to spend a week relaxing but with great access to many interesting places to visit , Wide variety of walking routes with lovely scenery

Fantastic location, 5 mins from the A470 along a B road, so great as a base to explore the area.

The annexe is well suited to walking too, with a large utility room, clothes airer, and even a tumble dryer for wet clothes a boots. Comfortable and very well equipped and with amazing views from the lounge window.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here; the cottage is in an ideal location for exploring mid Wales.

It is thoughtfully furnished and comprehensively equipped to cover all needs. Clean and well maintained, it was a very comfortable home from home for our holiday. Owners friendly and on hand if needed, but never obtrusive. Would definitely return and recommended without hesitation.

We only stayed at Llety Nest for 4 nights but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

The cottage was extremely comfortable and everything was provided for. There was a bird table outside where we saw a Greater Spotted Woodpecker and the view was lovely. We will definitely be going back there when we can.

The property was a home from home, you didn't want for anything.

It was very comfortable and quiet with amazing views from the cottage. A good base for exploring Wales and local walks nearby..... Would recommend to anyone and we would book again.

Llety Nest is a beautifully situated property, with stunning views.

The home is clean, cosy, well kept and comfortable. We had everything we could possibly need to make our holiday pleasurable. On arrival we were greeted by Glenys, who was warm and cheerful. Inside the cottage she had left Welsh cakes, biscuits, milk, tea and coffee for us, which were very welcome. We immediately felt at home and were able to relax fully and benefit from our time away. The area surrounding Llety Nest is idyllic. We were never short of places to visit and walks to explore, all without crowds of people. The roads are easy to travel, which my partner commented on several times! I am a tree hugger and so in my element here. Trees abound everywhere you look! This is a place where we felt at home, relaxed, happy and at ease. Thank you to Glenys and Alun for their generosity in sharing their beautiful home with others. We will be back. On the whole a very nice peaceful and relaxing holiday with all amenities.

It was a bungalow with no stairs which helped my wife and myself I would gladly recommend it

An excellent cottage attached to the owners’ bungalow.

Fairly easy access off the main road, close to Dolgellau for food shopping. Completely equipped with everything one would need for a self-catering holiday. Spotlessly clean, everything in perfect working order. The utility room was an added bonus for drying out wetsuits after swimming etc. Very quiet (apart from the antics of the RAF occasionally which some folk do enjoy!), wonderful views from the property, warm (if needed), good wifi, TV reception fine, plenty of storage space for clothing etc., useful shed for bike storage. All in all we had an excellent two weeks, especially the second in the September ‘23 heatwave.

This was our third stay and once again we absolutely loved our time here.

The cottage has all you need for a relaxing break in the Welsh countryside and is perfectly placed to explore more widely. The owners are wonderful and always there if you need anything at all, can’t recommend this cottage highly enough.

This cottage surpassed all of our expectations for such a reasonable price.

It had everything we could have needed all to the highest standard in every way and also had wonderful views and was well situated to access many walking areas. It was the most comfortable, warm and well equipped cottage we have stayed in. Glenys and Alun are friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning for another very peaceful and enjoyable stay.

Great views in a quiet location.

Sited on a working farm in one of the nicest parts of Wales this is probably the best equipped cottage we have ever stayed in.

The village does not have a local pub, so driving in the dark on narrow roads does not encourage eating out in the evening.

The property was excellent with all the facilities you would want.

The owners were extremely welcoming and made a point of ensuring everything was OK during our stay. The views from the cottage were stunning. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody and we hop to return in the future. Superb.

Plenty of good walks of varying distance and difficulty in the area. Good access to main road networks and good choices for eating out nearby. I am happy to recommend Llety Nest.

The holiday cottage was well equipped and comfortable and a good scenic view looking over the Welsh hills this is the best cottage we have stayed in and the hosts were very good if we needed anything we only had to ask and we would return to the cottage especially when everything you wanted to see of Wales is near at hand and once again thanks to the hosts of the cottage.

The bungalow annexe was spotlessly clean, well equipped and with the most beautiful view to gaze out on.

Alun and Glenys were kind and friendly, leaving us biscuits, teabags and milk so we could make a cuppa as soon as we arrived. They were concerned we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which was so thoughtful. The peace and quiet was wonderful and we enjoyed walks from the door as well as exploring the wider area. Thank you both for making our holiday so enjoyable. A & C

Accommodation was clean and comfortable and well equipped.

The hosts were welcoming and thoughtful.

This week’s weather was wet and challenging but the availability of the well equipped, spacious wet room/utility room made each day comfortable and we could confidently look forward to a “dry “ start to subsequent days.

The cottage was perfect for us.

So peaceful with beautiful views. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. Very thoughtful leaving us some Welsh cakes and small jug of milk for a cup of tea on our arrival. Despite being in adjoining property to the hosts, we had complete privacy. Perfect location for hiking and biking.

Stunning views from the lounge. It was a very comfortable, safe and warm cottage. Glenys and Alun were very welcoming and helpful hosts. The cottage is a great base to visit the old county of Merionnydd, and there are very good walks nearby.

We loved this property.

From the day we arrived when there was a warm friendly welcome and a plate of welshcakes waiting for us to the day we left, we had a wonderful time. The bungalow has all the facilities you need and there is nothing lacking. It is in a fabulous location, convenient for access to the main roads but so peaceful and quiet with stunning scenery to admire. We spent many an evening sitting on the garden bench with a drink in hand admiring the mountain view in front of us. We both agreed it was one on the best self catering accommodation experiences we have had and should we find ourselves back in this area again, would have no hesitation in staying there again. We would thoroughly recommend this as a great place to stay.

The cottage location, the hospitality and the whole area was a wonderful experience for me and the wife, cannot wait to return as soon as possible, well pleased and value for money.

Set 100s of metres from the road, this property is so peaceful with beautiful views.

Well equipped, it has everything for a quiet and relaxing holiday. Even includes a soft cushion for the outdoor seating so you can soak up the marvellous views. Faces west so you can sit out and watch the sun go down over the hills/ Lovely !

We arrived in the dark after a long drive, so was amazed to wake up in the morning and realise the beautiful area we was in.

Fantastic if you want to get away and have some calm from everyday life. The photos of the cottage don't reflect the scenery of the mountains and trees surrounding the cottage. The cottage itself was very cosy and felt like a 2nd home, plenty of space for two people. Hosts are very welcoming and called us to make sure we was on the right route as the sat navs sometimes don't lead you the right way. Home made Welsh cakes for our arrival was lovely also. Being the winter period, a lot of the trains that trail around the mountains and other seasonal things to do wasn't open. But we still did a lot on our five day stay exploring the beach, waterfalls, cosy towns for shopping and so much more. We will be back in the near future! *This was our first time to Wales and booking through Skye cottages* Paris & Dean

A very quiet location in the countryside with views over the valley, but not too far from the town, and also a central location for many things of interest. Good there is Wifi available as my EE phone got no signal! The owners are lovely and very helpful.

This bungalow is wonderfully cosy and you feel relaxed straight away.

The photos on the website do not do it justice. The bed is sublimely comfortable. The shower is great. The kitchen is modern and has all you need. Useful big utility room for taking off muddy boots and doing your washing and drying! The living room has a fantastic view and the sofa is comfortable for a perfect snuggle after a long day. The location of this bungalow is perfect to visit loads of places in north wales easily without much travel. There are wonderful walks on your doorstep that take your breath away. All in all I would totally recommend this place and would happily come again. Thank you Glenys for your warm welcome.

A very remote and quiet location with beautiful views and surroundings.

Even so, Dolgellau is nearby with shops and modest supermarkets. The flat/annexe is spacious and well-equipped for two and it is ideally positioned to reach the coast or mountains easily. The owners are next door, quietly busy on the farm and unobtrusively helpful. Television reception and phone signal are poor up here (but surely that's not why you go?) but you do have access to Wifi.

A lovely cottage/annex in a beautiful rural location, but in a good area for visiting all of South Snowdonia.

A warm welcome form Gwenyth and some fabulous home-made welsh cakes greeted us. The cottage was very homely and met all our needs. It was fantastically quiet and the views were stunning, as were the walks that took you directly from the cottage to over the hills at the back. Sadly, illness forced us to leave early but we would have no hesitation in re-booking as there is so much to see and the accommodation was excellent. Thank you.

The only down side was that the wifi was not very good, otherwise lovely cottage, lovely people, lovely welcome.
