Cyffdy Cottage - Arenig

Beautiful cottage, very comfortable and a short drive to Bala lake.

Bala village has lots of places to eat and drink, plenty to do in the area.

We had a lovely Easter break at Cyffdy.

The accommodation is set within a beautiful, peaceful location and has good access to nearby Bala with the shops and lake. The property is comfortable and offers good sleeping arrangements. We thought the Welcome Pack and logs for the log burner were very generous. Owners are great at communicating. Would highly recommend.

We rented ARAN, ARENIG and TEGID cottages as a family group for 3 nights.

The cottages were spacious and very comfortable. We were welcomed by James when we arrived and, after a little explore around the cottages, were gifted with Welsh Cakes and Bara Brith Fruit Cake that was much needed with a cup of tea after a long drive. The tea and milk was also provided by our kind hosts. The grounds are peaceful and quiet, just what we were after. 5* rating as we absolutely couldn't fault it!

A lovely property.

Very pretty and peaceful. Superb welcome pack from the owners. A very nice touch, thank you. A nice hideaway not too far if you need to pop to the shops, but we were very happy to take advantage of the cosy fire and lounge around and explore on foot. Has everything needed to enjoy the surrounding which are glorious. All very picture perfect in the snow, no doubt just as lovely in the summer.

Overall a very good and well maintained cottage and on a very good location.

Our kids enjoyed the board games DVDs they kept us for the guests. She’s been a great host overall. Something to look for a future upgrade is the mattress on beds otherwise all good!

Such a lovely , quiet,comfortable, relaxing cottage.

We didn't want to leave. We will definitely be booking again. And the owners are so lovely and welcoming and were there if we had any problems.

Arenig cottage was a perfect choice to explore North Wales.

On arrival, the cottage sits high on a steep driveway looking into the stunning views among the hills. The cottage itself has been converted and has a nice layout and homely feel to it. The 3 cosy bedrooms were well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen, down a few steps from the hallway, had pretty much all the equipment you need for cooking with ample fridge/ freezer room, a modern oven and other appliances. The living room, a few stairs up from the hallway, was very cosy with a large sofa and chair, a large modern TV and a little balcony overlooking the beautiful views. A couple of things to improve - general maintenance on light fittings in the kitchen and also replacing the bath panel that has a crack in it would make the cottage even more perfect. The hosts, albeit new to owning Cyffdy cottages, were very friendly and welcoming, offered help if we needed it and left a lovely, Welsh welcome pack for our arrival. Overall, our stay was exactly what we needed for 4 nights. It was a really lovely cottage and a great size for us as a couple with a baby. We would definitely look to stay here again.
