The house was great and as described.

We had a wonderful holiday and would return.

The accomodation could have done with a thorough clean.

There were lots of cobwebs and spiders, particularly behind and underneath bedside tables which was rather unsettling. The side of the bath was rotting and could do with a new one. The single bedroom wall paper was rotting off and there were no curtains in this room. A washing line would have been great, it felt wrong using a dryer in the summer. Egg cups would also have been useful. The smoke alarm appeared to be faulty as it kept beeping intermittently. I pulled the beds out and hovered all around the beds, which I didn't particularly want to do on holiday. The arga was also full of spiders. I appreciate it's a country property but being more prone to spiders, they should be cleaned more thoroughly. Beautiful views and lovely bathroom downstairs. Beautiful location.

Dwynant is a lovely cottage in a stunning position.

It was ideal for us - a comfortable house with beautiful views and a lovely garden. We had a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We were also pleased to meet Mrs Lloyd during our stay. We will be returning

Fabulous cottage, setting was excellent, a couple of miles away from the main road so very peaceful.

Scenery beautiful. The property was very well maintained and although it was only two of us staying it would comfortably sleep a family.

Homely and had everything we needed. Welcoming with tree and festive decorations on arrival. Dog treats and treats for us too! Stunning surroundings. Nice walks from the property.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Dwynant, it's a lovely cottage in a delightful position in an area we know quite well.

Adorable, comfortable, spacious cottage with a nice welcome pack.

Not too far off the main road and very convenient for getting to so much gorgeous scenery in the surrounding area. Lots of logs for the fire kept us cosy warm in the evenings, and our trainee guide dog loved the walks down the lane. Bit of difficulty getting the Freesat to connect to the tv, but all the usual apps were on it (ITV-X, iPlayer and Netflix) so we were able to access the main channels regardless. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay there again.

The house is beautiful with wonderful views.

The lovely aga kept us cosy downstairs. The beds were very comfortable with warm duvets - useful in October! The kitchen was very well equipped. The map on the Sykes website was not very accurate as it showed the house as fairly close to Dolgellau, whereas it was near Bontdu across the Mawddach Estuary

The cottage was spotlessly clean with breathtaking views. Thank you for the lovely welcome package. We were sad to leave.

Tremendous property.

Location is glorious and, despite the proximity of another holiday let, was very quiet and peaceful, the only sound being that of the mountain stream below the house. Ignore the negative comments about the steep, narrow lane being a problem. Steep and narrow it may be but really quite manageable. Apart from the very limited access to terrestrial TV and the tiny, tiny wash hand basins, there is really nothing negative to say about the property. Very enjoyable stay.

Very quiet location.

Beautiful house, comfortable beds, separate rooms for guests which was a win win situation for our teenagers.

The views are absolutely stunning, I took ages eating my breakfast and drinking my tea in the morning, looking at the hills and listening to the flowing river. We loved seeing the sheep too. There was nothing we missed, my husband and the teens had fun completing all the puzzle the owners have provided (something they wouldn’t do at home at all). We absolutely loved the rural location, being away from it all was what we craved and needed so much. If you are a nature lover, this is a gem for you. Thank you

It was very cosy and neat. This house was the best we ever rented. The surroundings really marvellous. A great compliment to the owner of this house.

Lovely comfortable cottage.

Definitely would recommend to friends and family. Loved the welcome pack and Eric our dog loved his! Great enclosed garden and walking direct from the property. Would have liked some details of local walks at the property, but as there is WiFi, was able to lookup details.

Up a long narrow lane but well worth it when you arrive.

Beautiful scenic setting with mountain walks from the door. A great place to relax and chill. Between Dolgellau and Barmouth and soon into the National park. Plenty of places to visit, places to ride and walk. Bliss

Incredible location house and nearby countryside

A lovely cottage kept constantly warm by the AGA.

Plenty of space and the log fire was an unexpected bonus as the listing stated Oil fired burner. The road in was interesting and not for the faint hearted especially when its icy and Kingsize bedding for the double beds would have been nice but otherwise a great place to stay and highly recommended and if we get the chance, we will return.

Warm and welcoming when you walk in, the welcoming gift was very appreciated.

Lovely place and property, probably in the top 2 we have ever had.

Well equipped and spotlessly clean, it was a pleasure to stay here. Location was superb: not overlooked, great view from the secure garden, peaceful, the only noise being the river. Walking from the door as well as a great place to use as a base for other wilder walks, with The George as a wonderful watering hole and meal provider not so far away.

This is an excellent home from home for a great break.

We loved everything about it ,just a pity we didn't get a visit from the Cat.

The property was more than ample in size.

The vendors offered a welcome of a warm home, lights on and gifts of Prosecco and local sea salt crisps. The kitchen was also dressed with flowers and was well equipped with a huge fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, hob and Aga. The lounge was stacked with wood for the log fire which was a delight to enjoy in the cool evenings. There was a guests information folder in there to answer all of our questions. The freeview was easy to use and there were dvd’s available if the guests wished to watch a film. Plus the wifi located in the kitchen was excellent. The sofa and two chairs were very comfortable too. The bedrooms all had lovely clean and plush bedding and were also dressed to a high standard. There was a toilet downstairs and a good bathroom with bath and shower upstairs. Towels were also provided. The gardens were mature and well kept with beautiful views of the trees, local river and surrounding countryside scenery. It was quiet and peaceful at night and during the day. The property is close to all main roads for those wanting to day trip. However, it would be just as comfortable for those who wanted a restful and relaxed holiday. We highly recommend the property and vendors. We would love to stay again. Many thanks

This property was ideally located for trips to Barmouth, Bala and Porthmadog along with many more lovely places.

The property itself had everything anyone needs from the small necessity like matches to extra blankets for the beds. The tea cakes and bottle was a lovely gesture thank you. The only criticism, and this is more something we are used to is a king size bed, just felt a bit cramped in bed. Mrs Lloyd came to visit us a few times, even dared to have a drink from Jaspers (our westie) bowl in the kitchen, which was nice to see. Would love to come and stay again if welcome. Thank you to the owners.

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage.

So comfortable and cosy with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. We enjoyed Mrs Lloyd paying us regular visits, she’s adorable (a cat!). Couldn’t fault our stay and will definitely return if we are in that area again. Good communication with owners too.

The cottage was wonderful and had everything you would need. Surrounded by the mountains it was so peaceful and quiet. Mrs Lloyd (the cat) came to see us every day and became part of the family! Will definitely come back here again.

We had a lovely stay.

The cottage is well kept, clean and was perfect for our holiday. Nice garden. Good space throughout. Loved the games, our youngest especially liked the Wallace and Gromit game :). Our only challenges were the black out blinds in the single bedroom, which dropped off the window a few days in. Also the double beds are relatively small, which affected our sleep. But overall it was a lovely place to stay and would return.

Lovely property in beautiful surroundings!

The owners had thought of nearly everything. There were a few things we would have liked - salt and pepper, an iron and some eggcups. Otherwise, it was perfect.

A fabulous cottage which was warm, clean and comfortable with delicious welcome treats left by the owners. The location was breathtaking! Such lovely views of the surrounding mountains together with the sound of the stream and walks from the doorstep. Not forgetting, of course, making friends with Mrs Lloyd! Just perfect, thank you.

If you like peace and quiet, beautiful scenery, very clean cottage with all the home from home comforts would strongly recommend this cottage.

This was our fourth visit to this cottage and already booked up for next year as it clearly appears to be in demand. Because it ticks the box in so many ways has started to become an annual event. What is also very good about this property is having a Labrador dog, firstly the garden is fully enclosed but also the owners have a field very close by which is ideal for off lead short exercising be it earlier morning and last walk of the day. The views from the garden are lovely and there are plenty of walks from the doorstep shoud you wish to give the car a miss for a day or two. However, even though you are up in the hills and accessed by a single track road, it's still a reasonable location for exploring the area by car.
