A very comfortable and relaxing property.

This was our second stay here and we had a fantastic holiday with plenty of walks with the dog. A peaceful retreat.

Dehangfa is an excellent cottage, very clean and comfortable, Phil the owner was very helpful when we couldn't get the tv to work, unfortunately the weather's wasn't great but we still had a great holiday, a couple of suggestions, it would be great if there was grab rail and a seat in the wet room for disabled guests.

A large property in a good location.

The kitchen draws, the inside of the cooker, pots and pans were all quite dirty though. The property could do with a 'make over' as is a little tired.

Big bungalow for 4 adults and a dog.

As the weather was hot the fan was an added bonus and the outside furniture very comfortable. Cupboard of dog toys and books a good find, Dexter also liked the dog treats left by Phil and Bianne. The adults enjoyed the bottle of fizz in the fridge. Very happy all round.

We have stayed in Dehangfa six times now over the years and every time we return for our week or two we always feel as if we have come home again.

The owner Phil, is always very welcoming… to the extent of a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge each time. When our son brought his dog Teddy to stay we found a packet of dog treats for him. But this year our arrival was just one day after our Golden Wedding anniversary and we were delighted to find a wedding card signed by the owner and his wife, a box of gorgeous chocolates as well as the bottle of Prosecco, how kind. Hopefully we will keep on staying at our lovely Welsh home Deganfa in future years. This year we had pretty wet n windy weather, some years we’ve had glorious weather, but always Dehangfa has never let us down.

We had a lovely stay for a week.

The bungalow was spotlessly clean and spacious and had everything we could want. Would thoroughly recommend, brilliant for our granddaughters and a great location.

A wonderful property, that feels like home.

This is the third time we have stopped at the Dehangfa, and it never disappoints. It is very clean, spacious and well decorated. The bungalow is light, airy and warm. The garden is lovely to sit in and the new garden furniture is of a high standard and was very comfortable. The kitchen has everything that you need and is easy to work in. The TV in the bedrooms is a nice touch. The bungalow is situated in a very pleasant side road which is very peaceful. The owner is very helpful and is on hand if you need help.

Excellent property, everything you could possibly need , lovely host on hand if needed and lovely bottle of bubbly and dog treats as well .

Dehangfa is fantastic and just as described online - extremely comfortable and warm in the early spring months and the enclosed garden suits us so well with the dog.

Fairbourne is a superb location - nice walk over to Barmouth, great food at the Penrhyn Bar, railway station for excursions north and south is only 5 minutes walk away. The only fly in the ointment is having to book through Sykes, who really don't care about Customer Service - once they've got your money that's all they want, and really don't want to deal with customers after they've had the smell of your money.

An excellent little holiday cottage with every comfort of home.

A friendly and helpful owner who makes that extra effort to make you feel welcome. The location and local facilities gives grat access to seaside and mountains with so much choice of activities. Highly recommended.

Just had another great week in Dehangfa This bungalow is all that is required for a stay in Fairbourne.

Although there are only 2 of us plus a dog I would imagine when full there is still plenty of space in bungalow We have stayed in a lot of let's in Fairbourne but this one is second to none in comfort and cleanliness As an aside Phil is also very good with lost property:-)

Property was clean and tidy ,unfortunately for myself and friend we found the beds uncomfortable, I did mention this to the owner when he called around .

Found premises ok ,but a little tired in places ,would like to see grab rails over bath this looks as if there once was one but has come of. Also a waterproof stool to put clothes on in wet room would be nice . Due to circumstances we left after 2 days ,not the owners fault.

This bungalow was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed for the perfect stay. Cosy, warm and welcoming, and such a comfortable bed! So nice to meet the owner Phil, who popped round to see all was well after a very windy first night! We shall definitely return and would certainly recommend a stay here to family and friends.

Had a great week here in this superb bungalow , in a quiet cul-de-sac with mountain views front and back .

Easy to find , and the mainline railway is within walking distance for some spectacular coastal trips - leave the car behind ! A miniature steam railway , a convenience store and cafes are close by, as well as a large car park overlooking the beach . Inside , each room is very spacious and comfortable with good quality furnishings and equipment , and is spotlessly clean . We found particularly useful was the large wet room for the older person ( but take care down the high step ! ) French doors through the living room lead to a pleasant enclosed garden area with new outdoor furniture . We met Phil , the owner , who made us very welcome , and lives nearby if needed . We would highly recommend this beautiful , well maintained , cosy bungalow .

A home from home, in a beautiful, quiet, picturesque village. Lovely touch having a bottle of bubbly left for us on arrival and a bag of dog treats for our Dexter. We were very lucky to have the use of the new garden furniture which was put in place this week. Would definitely recommend

The bungalow is situated in walking distance to the beach and local shops. I was very pleased at how clean it was and the garden has seating outside which was lovely to use. Overall its a great place to stay .

What a home from home, fabulous property exceptionally clean and had everything required.

Beautiful village with shops/pub just round the corner and stunning beach which our dog loved. Would highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere nice and relaxed. Ate at the pub/grill bar, good food and friendly people making you welcome also a great chippy to be had. Definitely worth a visit to this lovely property, also greatly appreciated bubbles and dog treats thank you for a lovely week away.

The bungalow very clean tidy .

It's in a beautiful spot .The little train to the sea for a boat to Barmouth .Beautiful beaches and plenty of shops .There is shops just 1 street away with all you could want .And pub with a DJ and some nights live music .

We had a lovely stay at Dehangfa.

The bungalow is immaculately clean, bright, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It's set in a quiet location with a nice enclosed garden and lovely views of the mountains. During the evening as we we were sitting in the living room we noticed bats flying about outside, which was nice to see. There is a well stocked mini mart nearby, they even sell plants. A trip on the little train is a pleasure and if you gift aid the ticket can be used again for up to a year. The scenery around Fairborne and Barmouth is so incredibly beautiful. Phil the owner was very likeable, friendly and helpful it was a pleasure to meet him. Thank you to Phil and Bianne for our bubbly which we enjoyed.

A very comfortable well equipped property with everything we needed for our weeks stay.

Beds especially comfortable. Has a nice secluded patio area to the rear where we were able to store our bikes safely. We were welcomed with free range eggs and bubbly from Phil the owner which was much appreciated. The property is close to the Welsh Coastal Path and the Mawddach trail to Dolgellau and Barmouth. For trips further afield the railway station is close by,as is a well stocked supermarket.

This was our second visit to Dehangfa, the cottage is superb in every detail with good communications with the owner.

It is set in a good position with views of the mountains all around. We will be returning!! Thanks Phil yet again.

A perfect retreat, comfortable, quiet & clean nestled in awesome scenery.

This is the second time that we have stayed here.

The rooms are bright, welcoming and a good size. The place is kept to a high standard and a good selection of cooking equipment. There are some wonderful views from the living room and kitchen of the mountains. The location is very peaceful, but with the train station so close it is very easy to get to many places. We hope to book again in the future.

Beautiful house in an absolutely stunning location!

Perfect for unwinding and relaxing even with three small children haha Friendly neighbours who made it feel like a home from home. The house and owner were 10 out of 10. Comfy beds and the pillows....... wow the pillows were just dreamy!! Owner was super lovely, friendly, approachable and made sure we had everything to make our stay easy, comfortable and stress free. Little local shops for groceries etc were friendly staffed and well stocked with virtually everything needed. Highly recommend booking here for anyone needing a little slice of heaven after a year from hell.

We had a lovely stay at Dehangfa, the bungalow is bright and airy, very clean and equipped with everything you need for a “home from home” feel.

Lovely comfy beds which is very important to us. The views are fantastic and the garden backs onto a field where two beautiful horses graze. The beach, pub and shops are all within easy walking distance. Phil the owner of Dehangfa has provided lots of helpful info about things to do etc. Also, when we had a small issue Phil was there to help us straight away, nothing was too much trouble. If you’re thinking about staying in Fairbourne or surrounding areas, I’d definitely recommend Dehangfa, we are looking forward to returning next year.

Yet again we were delighted with our stay.

A beautiful property with all the home comforts. A perfect secure garden for our dog who absolutely loves it here. Both the double beds were very comfortable and guaranteed a perfect nights sleep to be fresh and ready for the next day. The bungalow is exceptionally clean and tidy and has everything you need. This is our fourth stay here and we have already booked for next year. We love it so much, no stress of having to take extra home comforts as everything is there that you need. Great cottage, close to amenities, we had a great week.

We have been holidaying in North Wales for many years and can honestly say that Dehangfa is the best home we have ever stayed in.

The bungalow is located two turnings off Beach Road, close to shops, eateries and the coastline, and nestled peacefully against the backdrop of the surrounding mountains. There is a driveway for off-road parking. The bungalow is spacious and beautifully decorated/furnished - the large living room and patio doors contribute to an open, light and airy feel. The home is impeccably clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to self-cater whilst away - if you can pry yourself away from the lovely local pub! Beds are very comfortable and allow for a lovely night’s sleep. There is a bathroom and a wet room to speed up getting ready on a morning and enable you to shower following a sandy beach day. The hosts left a complimentary bottle of prosecco in the fridge for us, which was lovely, and were easily contactable. Five stars from me! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Dehangfa was a great place to stay - clean, light and airy with lots of facilities and, especially in the kitchen, all the little things that you need to make it a home from home.

Having the wet room directly accessible from the back door was particularly handy when coming in from the beach so you could clean off rather than trailling through the house. I will definitely be going back

The bungalow was in a lovely, peaceful location.

Had a lovely view of the mountains from the kitchen window. The property was very clean and comfortable. There was nothing extra that I could ask for, or needed. I loved sitting in the garden and listening to the birds. It was an ideal place to just chill and relax or take long strolls along the beach or sit on one of the many benches. There are a few takeaways and also a pub at which you can have a meal. The train station is an added bonus as you can get to most places without having to use the car. The owners are very friendly and made sure that our stay was a happy one. Thank you.

The contents and facilities provided both inside and outside the property, along with the attention to detail by the owner made it a stress free, comfortable, relaxing holiday.

Excellent property, very clean, large and well positioned in Fairbourne

We have stayed here five times now and really love Dehangfa.

Thank you for the fizz, everything is lovely here. Three minor moans… No spare toilet rolls. The brown towels have seen better days, please change these. Differed colours would be better for more than two people staying here, easily mixed up. Also the larger towels are just too small to cover one after a bath or shower. The bed quilt was very uncomfortable, too bulky. But the bed itself is lovely. Thank you for letting us stay again, we will be back…. If you can guarantee no more rain

Close to beach and local shops. The area was peaceful and relaxing. The owner was very welcoming and available for contact. The bottle of bubbly and the free range eggs were greatly appreciated. The ferry ride over to Barmouth was easily accessible and a pleasant short trip on the water. We certainly have every intention of visiting the property and Fairbourne again and would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful garden that is completely secure for your dog too. We enjoyed the evenings sitting out there listening to the waves and the little train. Owner informed us on arrival that the boiler had an oil leak and to leave a window open all the time to get the smell out .

we should have been given the option to forfeit the holiday on the Saturday morning.as he said it wouldn't be sorted by a plumber for another week.the smell made me I'll with a sore throat and my husbands eyes were sore .we came back early as we couldn't sleep .the wet room and dining room were unusable because of the oil filled rooms .

A lovely comfy, cosy, spotless holiday home-from-home.

Every need was catered for and a very helpful, caring and efficient host. Loved the idea of his phone call before the holiday, offering his phone number should we need it before we arrived, and the bottle of fizz in the fridge was a lovely welcoming touch. A superb quiet location within easy walk of the long sandy beach and village stores and food outlets ( chippy etc) Lots of interesting places to visit in the area but, make sure that you have fuel in your car cuz petrol stations are few and far between!!! The good weather we had was, of course, a bonus. Highly recommended holiday home.

Lovely bungalow in a quiet residential area.

Close to the shop, chippy and pizza and a short walk to the bar and grill. Worth taking a few golf clubs for a pay and go course. Phil the owner called before we arrived to introduce himself and to let us know how to contact him if any issues. There were none. Plus a nice bottle of bubbly on arrival. The weather was good and it was a relaxing week

Lovely holiday accommodation very good.

But could do an upgrade on towels, not very big and very scratchy. But super as I am disabled and appreciated the wet room.

We have stayed here 4 times since 2018 and fully intend a return.

Everything in the house is spotless, even the tiniest things, such as washing up sponge, are there for us. A recent makeover has left the garden looking very attractive. New bedding, curtains and flooring have recently been added, very smart. The owner always leaves us a bottle of fizz to greet us, and comes to say hello at one point in the week. One week is just not enough for a stay in this fabulous area. Thank you Dehangfa..

We enjoyed our stay at Dehangfa - a spacious, warm, modern bungalow with good wifi, a safe enclosed garden for our Jack Russel, and plenty of space to park our two cars.

We had nice walks along the promenade, and a good meal at the grill bar at the end of the road, which allowed our dog in too. Sadly, we didn’t manage to catch the trains but we did enjoy driving in the local valleys where we were happy to catch sight of a few jets going round the “Mac loop” when the weather was less cloudy. Thank you for a relaxing holiday in your lovely bungalow.

The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

We felt very much at home there. It’s in a good location for walking and getting the Cambrian day ranger for the train was a bonus. Highly recommended.

Dehangfa is a lovely bungalow in a quiet location.

The owners have thought of everything to ensure that the needs of both humans and canine friends are catered for.( We particularly appreciated our welcome treats and the introductory phone call before our visit)! The accommodation is spacious ,airy and very comfortable.High quality bedding is used and the bungalow is extremely well equipped even to providing TVs in every bedroom. Fairbourne,although quiet, is a great base for exploring many areas such as Barmouth, Dolgellau and Aberdovey.. The small railway is an enjoyable activity for families and the beach is lovely too. We really enjoyed our stay at Dehangfa and highly recommend it. The Gibson Family

Lovely bungalow in a quiet uncommercialised location.

Kids will love the miniature railway which takes you to the beach and a ferry to Barmouth and for those who wish to explore further afield without taking the car there is also a train service . We used both during our stay. We also visited the bar near the beach in the evening which offered real ale and decent pub food. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in a quiet uncommercialised location with stunning scenery close to Barmouth then I am happy to recommend Dehangfa.

We enjoyed our stay particularly the children.

The bungalow was in the perfect position for us as we wanted to explore along the coast but didn't want to be near the noisier resorts. Fairbourne was perfect for the small railway train and ferry to Barmouth and for the quiet walks along the beach with the dog. Be careful of the jellyfish though. The shop was very busy in high season but good for bits and bobs. We went to the Co-op behind the Fair in Barmouth for bigger things for breakfasts and so on. Unless you can do your shop in half an hour you will have to pay for your parking as again- very busy. Busy is what makes the atmosphere though. The Fair , the ferry , the railway, the quirky shops ,the smell of hot doughnuts together with the sea , sand and cloudless skies beats any resort abroad. Yet, it was nice to come back to the bungalow for quiet time and to relax in the evening. Fairbourne also had a takeaway which made the best pizzas in the world with decent chips and nicely cooked burgers which we had everynight because I was on holiday too and didn't want to cook ! The bungalow had a TV in each room and a fairly powerful shower. Lots of hangers for your clothes too and although I didn't use the kitchen much - it was really well equipped . It was nice to eat our takeaways from decent crockery . The glasses were good sizes too. The water from the tap tasted like mineral water which was refreshing as our water at home tastes like dirty sock water ! The kids loved the ponies that appeared in the small field at the foot of the garden and the rabbit which liked to nestle under the long grasses. It was quiet there in the garden which was lovely . We don't make noise and we don't like noise so it was a perfect place to stay. If you can't persuade your kids to leave their tech at home then the Wi-Fi is really good. The little train station , pebble beach and little shops are only about 5 minutes walk from the bungalow. We felt safe there too. People were friendly in the shops especially the takeaway. We would definitely return. The owner left us a bottle of nice wine for our arrival which was very thoughtful and treats for our little black whippet making her feel welcome too ! She wolfed them down no problem. I really hope Fairbourne keeps its charm and resists any developers committing the usual acts of legal vandalism. Thanks for a great stay.

It is reassuring to make contact like this. The bungalow is excellent - very spacious and well appointed. Very useful to find basics like cooking oil, washing up liquid, kitchen roll and also the hairdryer (even though I'd remembered to bring most of the items). The bottle of bubbly is a nice touch. As many of your previous guests mentioned in the visitors book - the beds are very comfortable indeed. So thank you very much.

Comfortable and convenient for all the local attractions although a bit too cold to walk up Cadair Idris! Glad to see that the pub is now open again in Llwyngwril. Would recommend staying here, very useful wet room for dogs and bikes.

Dehangfa was a great place and we were lucky to have fabulous weather in January.

We met Phil the owner and what a nice guy. We would have booked to return in the autumn but Phil is thinking of selling the property so doesn't know if it will be available. What a shame! As an aside and nothing to do with Phil or the property, the people at Sykes think it is okay to send messages to my phone at 2.30 am!! I keep my phone at the side of the bed because I have an elderly relative who may ring. If Sykes cottages do this again it will be the end of our relationship and I will look Cottages.com in future. I suggest you take this on board Sykes.

Lovely little village great views lots of walking but best to take food as only 1 pub and 1 chip shop

It was a lovely cottage with only 5 mins walk to the beach.

I would highly recommend it. It was also entertaining watching the sheep walk up our road and eat the grass on locals lawns

I would rate this as a two star property dirty windows all round.

Cheap beds and bed linens cheap mattresses and pillows walked in to a very strange smelling house. The garden furniture also very uncomfortable if used without the dirty cushions stored in the shed. On the plus side we accidentally broke a toilet seat and called the owner who promptly replaced it along with a invoice for £35. The area is outstanding and there is lots to do along the coast. The people in the village are very friendly

It was fantastic just what we all needed it’s dog friendly and accessible for all I recommend this bungalow it’s facilities are great and any problems sorted immediately by their great neighbour.

A wonderful stay, The first holiday in two years and I was desperate to see the sea again.

Our cottage owner left us a bottle of fizz and dog treats, a nice touch. Second time in that cottage and will go there again. Perfect!

Just a stroll to the beach. The bungalow is perfect for our needs. Useful shower/dog drying room at the back. Comfy bed/hot shower/cosy and warm -that's all you need. We booked last year and was thankful that after everything we could actually go there as we live in Wales. Thanks to the owner for letting us and who obviously has to abide by covid rules had sanitised -we felt safe.

We felt the owner went the extra mile to make us welcome especially in the circumstances this year the bungalow is in a lovely quite close just 5 minutes walk to the beach and really well maintained.

the wet room is not good for mobility impaired to go into as there is a step into room which is quite a drop no hand rail at the shower also entrance door also has steps that are very dificult for mobility impaired to step up to get in property

The premises were excellent and the garden was brilliant for our dog.

The facilities were as described and were to a very high standard. the owner rang prior to us going which gave us great comfort re the deep cleansing. My daughter is in a wheel chair and we found that everything was accessible for her which made the break perfect. We will definitely return Thank you

We enjoyed our stay in this cottage having stayed in many cottages in Fairbourne for the past 50 years.

There was plenty of room and it was very convenient for the beach.

Dehangfa is a truly spacious, light and airy, lovely bungalow.

The property was immaculately clean (we all felt completely safe in these covid times), The beds were all comfortable with lovely furnishings. Ideal for families of multi generations. The kitchen is really well equipped (and I speak from over 40 years experience of self catering holidays), for those not wishing to eat out. The separate dining room is ideal for catching up with the day's events over a lovingly prepared family meal. There are fantastic views of the mountains from the garden and the patio area is a sun trap in the mornings. Peace and tranquility reign here. The only downside for us was that, as we went when the beach dog ban was in force, we found it nearly impossible to get onto the beach due to the high banks of cobbles. There is however a nice walk along the prom right up to Penrhyn Point. As Paddy, our Red and White Irish Setter, is getting on a bit nowadays, we used to drive up to the small car park there where there are splendid views of the mountains and across to Barmouth. You can have a leisurely walk around the area or even a picnic. Fortunately for us, we soon discovered that Tywyn (only a beautiful 20 min drive down the coast) has a wonderful sandy beach which is easily accessible from the car parks along the prom. Best to go when the tide is out, then you get miles of golden sand. Result - 1 happy dog and 2 delighted owners! The owner of the property was very helpful, friendly and was on hand should any problems arise. This property is one of the very best that we have been fortunate enough to have booked during our many years of self catering holidays.

The owner was friendly and on call if we needed anything and we enjoyed our stay very much. I also found sykes cottages to be very helpful and would definitely recommend them.

Everything you could want. Nicely decorated, very comfortable and fantastic location! Secure back garden for dogs, which was brilliant for us as William could chill out in the evening after a day on the beach! Definitely booking again for next year!

The bungalow was lovely.

Very comfortable with everything we needed, including a secure garden for our dog. The owner, who introduced himself to us, was very friendly and helpful. The scenery around the bungalow was magnificent. For us, the beach wasn’t quite as accessible as we thought, but we had lovely walks along the front each day with the dog. Fairbourne is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday, with other villages and towns to explore not too far away. It has a few small shops and two pubs to cater for your needs. A frequent small train runs along the front and another regular train service runs to other towns etc. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The weather let us down a bit, but in was lovely just to relax in the bungalow !!

It was a great holiday home.

Couple of minor issues 2nd room bed like rock and need thicker window covering also broken tiles in shower room. I can say I would definitely go again to this property. Location was good to go around the area and local shops good for all your needs.

We found Denangfa cottage all that it says it is, great place to stay , A home from home, Could not have picked a better place, Weather great as well.

Very comfortable and cosy bungalow.

Quiet location. Lovely light lounge with windows on three sides. Well equipped. Only small criticism was that we thought the wet room would be near to the bedrooms and have grab rails fitted by the toilet and shower for my elderly mother to use, but it was down a step in the rear porch off the dining room with no grab rails, so she did not feel confident to use it.

Dehangfa is in an excellent location,right by the beach.

Scenery is spectacular,the bungalow is fabulous very clean and has everything you would have at home the 4day break we had was wonderful thank you .

Great location for going to barmouth and tywyn the children loved the beaches and we had a lovely week weather was fab. Hope to visit again.

We have stayed in this property before and it is still clean, warm and comfortable with everything we needed and we hope to return next year.

Spacious, clean, warm, quite, well equipped bungalow.

The bungalow was like home from home clean, comfy well equipped kitchen everything you needed was supplied, The owner came too sort out the bins and was on hand if there were any problems which in our case there wasn't, Had an enjoyable stay at fairbourne the location of the bungalow was excellent 5 min's walk to the shops which were well stocked, Chip shop and indian restaurant do take outs theres a lovely bar and grill do fab food & welcomes dogs too.

Our dog Alfie thoroughly enjoyed the beach his first beach holiday. Train station 5 min's walk also trains run frequently and on time so there was no need drive everywhere in the car. Views of the mountains were stunning. I have not been too fairbourne in over 30 years and its hardly changed a bit love it here and hope to visit and stay here again in the not to distant future.

The cottage was a lovely homely palce to relax in and great for beaches as well as the ,ountians.

The negatives were that there was no clothes horse to be able to dry clothes that were not able to be tumble dryed, although very clean there were some areas that needed an extra hoover and the wifi was very slow. Having said that the house was perfect and met our needs for the holiday we wanted.

The perfect 'base camp' for exploring that area of Wales & comfortable retreat when the weather beats you.

The location was good for beaches, Arthur’s Labyrinth (nearby attraction), Harlech Castle.

Having 2 bathrooms was a godsend as my son and family were on holiday with us. The owner was helpful and didn’t mind you phoning with any queries.

Of the three bungalows rented in Fairbourne, this one stands head and shoulders above the rest.

The only thing missing was a welcome pack with ingredients to at least make a cup of tea otherwise it was perfect.

A lovely bungalow - a real home from home with fantastic facilities, the wet room in particular was excellent when dealing with wet/muddy children.

Clean and comfortable, with a communicative owner, we couldn't fault it, and the welcoming pack went down great with the children - thankyou. We really enjoyed our time there and plan to return.

The location of this bungalow was great for the beach and walks.

The owner was extremely helpful meeting us just after our arrival too make sure we had everything we needed. His bungalow was lovely, clean, warm with very comfortable beds. The wet room was super as you shower after a swim before entering the main house.We had a lovely autumn break and we would stay here again. Gillian.
