Love the views, games room for the kids was great. Very clean and comfortable beds.

We are regular visitors to Garnedd.

We know for certain that the property will always be sparkling clean and everything we could possibly need will be there.There are places of interest, walks and sun drenched (well sometimes!) beaches within easy reach. We will be back. I am dreaming about it already!

Stupendous property.

Immaculately clean, views galore. Ideal for traveling around the local area on public transport. The bus stop is just outside the property, and the trains just down towards the beach. Fabulous gardens, back and front.

We have come to stay at Garnedd twice a year for quite a few years now.

It is always spotlessly clean and tidy. The house manager must be a very hard working and dedicated person. It’s a very comfortable and ‘easy’ place to stay. The beaches aren’t far away and there are many places of interest to visit. But sometimes the best thing to do is to sit and look out of the lounge window. The views of the river estuary and Shell Island are truly magnificent and constantly changing. And, yes, we have booked for next year already!

A great property in a fantastic location with a brilliant view across the bay.

Everything you need for a stay for a few days, or longer, is provided. I would definitely stay again. Hopefully we'll not have to cut our trip short the next time.

This house provides all equipment needed and, unusually, things like dishwasher tablets, rubbish bags, loo paper, teabags, coffee etc.

All equipment worked properly, house was very clean and furniture very comfortable. Our grandson found the games room particularly enjoyable ! The weather was terrible but you can’t do anything about that.

Had a wonderful 2 weeks.

Property was sparkly clean and tidy. Property has been well maintained and improved over the years we have been coming here. When we have contacted the house manager for information, she has dealt with the enquiry efficiently and in a friendly way. Things have always been sorted out. Weather was mostly good which helps and we had some good trips out. There are plenty of things to see and do in the area. We shall be back in October. Many thanks.

Lovely home from home, with everything you need for an enjoyable stay

The views from the house across Llandanwg and Shell Island are excellent and getting around the area is easy.

Even the Barmouth to Porthmadog bus passes the front of the property. Due to the weather, we did not use the garden but both front and back gardens were well maintained and private. Overall the facilities are very good but it would help with a few items such as a dish drainer and bowl for the kitchen and a toilet brush for the bathroom.

This is our third visit to Garnedd Lwyd, previously in 2017 & 2018 and it has not changed a bit - you would not guess it had been so long since we last stayed.

The house and gardens are superbly maintained, still super clean, comfortable with plenty of room and everything you need for a perfect holiday home from home. The views from the living room are still fabulous and the walk down to the beach is lovely - a bit hard work walking back up the hill, nevertheless we still did it - several times! :-) The walk to Harlech along the old Llanfair road which runs parallel to the A496 provides some fabulous views.

Extremely comfortable beds. Well equipped. Lots for local walks. Harlech a lovely town with good eating places. Would come back again.

A very enjoyable stay.

The cottage was clean and tidy, and had all necessary facilities. Location is excellent, near the Harlech to Barmouth road, with footpaths through the fields to beaches and the hills nearby. Garden is very pleasant to sit out in.

We would have liked some info with reference to local walks.

Many cottages we've been to in the past have this, often including tips and recommendations, and/or have provided maps.

This holiday cottage really was like a “home from home”.

It was superbly well-equipped and very comfortable. The house was well-maintained and tastefully decorated. The gardens were extensive and the view across the estuary was just lovely. It is an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful North West coast of stunning beaches, steam train experiences, pretty villages and many superb golf courses. Would highly recommend.

The accommodation worked very well for the 3 generations on the vacation.

We received excellent support when we had a small problem, from both Sykes and from those operating the maintenance. One minor problem was that the only contact information we had (apart from Sykes) appear to be for those previously in charge of the property.

We have stayed at many hotels over the years but our stay at Garnedd Lwyd topped them all!

The beds were extremely comfortable with crisp white linen and the kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons. The bathroom was clean and tidy with just one observation. The step in and out of the shower is quite high and a strategically placed handrail would not go amiss. The views are spectacular and the surrounding area well worth exploring. The gates to the property are a little tight so really big cars or SUVs need to negotiate carefully. Overall this property exceeded our expectations and we have no hesitation in recommending it for a stay in the Harlech area.

Beautiful house in a great location near the beach but very quiet.

Gardens are lovely and there is everything you need for a holiday. We also had 2 small children with us who had a great time too

Menai doesn't look out for the customer at all.

One of the best equipped holiday homes we've found, clean and tidy, comfortable.

We appreciate the thought that has gone into providing the little touches that made the difference. Most of all we loved the location with the view over the little estuary and the salt marshes, the tide rising and falling. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

Very well kept property with large rooms and very comfortable.

Felt really at home here! Amazingly well equipped with every utensil you would need in the kitchen. The beds were so comfortable too. A lovely cosy room with a huge selection of games was a nice touch. Also lovely, well maintained gardens all around the property.

Fantastic location.

Very well appointed. We spent every day on the beach which was accessible down the zigzag path nearby. Our boys loved the den and we all loved the amazing views. Thoroughly recommend.

The weather was great!

It makes such a difference in Wales. Accommodation was wonderful and we were looked after very well by the local managers of the property. One of the only improvements that could be made are to the gateposts! They are far too narrow for todays larger cars. We were worried everytime we went in and out of the gate that we were going to scrape the car or worse. Also, I don't really think that the beach is ten minutes walk away except of course if you are a mountain goat! That could be offputting for some people.

Well furnished holiday home.

Superb views, lots of things to do in the area. Ideal for Harlech beach as well as for excursions to Snowdonia, slate quarries, Barmouth, etc. Scenic walks starting directly on the doorstep.
