    “Whilst we were very happy with the cottage, there were a few aspects which would benefit from maintenance, the flooring in the corridor between the ground floor bedroom, the bathroom and the lounge is composed of Lino tiles which are moving and breaking up, one member of our party stubbed a toe on the edge of one of these tiles, resulting in some grumbles.”

    The ground floor bedroom has a couple of problems, there is a smell of damp with the carpet at the foot of the bed being wet after rain, the carpet near to the external door is loose and show signs of damp under the corner next to the carpet grippers, this may be entering under the external door which does not seem to have a weather board at the bottom outside edge to deflect water away from the building. The double bed in the ground floor bedroom has a missing or broken leg in the middle of the ...

The double bed in the ground floor bedroom has a missing or broken leg in the middle of the bed; the leg and a screw are on the carpet under the bed, consequently the bed seems to sag into the centre making for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. We enjoyed our stay and will consider the location again for future visits.

The Talwrn Bach Farm Estate

The properties consist of a lovely selection of two cottages and a farmhouse on the same site resting near the tranquil village of Llanbedr, Gwynedd. Two or three of the properties can be booked together for larger groups and we are usually flexible about short breaks and check in days during off peak periods. The Wales Coastal path runs right past the door, and the nearby sleepy scenic Cambrian Coast railway affords the opportunity to explore the area by train. This pet-friendly collection of dwellings offers ample off-road parking, gorgeous countryside and distant sea views, and are well-positioned for nearby beaches, making them idyllic for families or groups of friends and their four-legged friends on a getaway to Gwynedd. Soak up your local surroundings with a scenic stroll to Rhaeadr Nantcol Waterfalls, indulge in a beach day at Mochras (Shell Island) or Morfa Dyffryn Beach, (but note there is a section of beach used by naturists), then grab some pub grub at one of three pub /restaurants – under a mile from your property! Venture a little further afield for Harlech to treat the history buff to Harlech Castle, challenge your loved ones to a swing at Royal St. David’s Golf Club, and take a dip in the ocean at Harlech Beach. Take that short drive to Barmouth for a seaside stroll along Barmouth Pier, admire the Mawddach Estuary, and continue your beach adventures at Traeth Abermaw Beach.
