Hendy is a beautifully restored cottage, very comfortable and well eqipped with loads of character. It is surrounded by lovely countryside. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Hendy cottage is so beautiful it actually made my uncle cry.

It is spacious, homely, comfortable and warm. It has not lost its 17th century charm . I melted every minute of my holiday . It was also great to sit outside on the garden furniture and enjoy the beautiful view and ambience. In short, a place that not only touches the hart but warms the soul. I will definitely be returning. Gary

Lovely well equipped cottage with a friendly welcome.

Views of the sea - when it wasn't raining! Great location to visit various local attractions - we went Portmeirion, Harlech and Barmouth. We walked to Llanbedr to go to the pub for a good meal which took about 20 minutes. All in all a pleasant stay - very peaceful and relaxing.

Home from home cottage.

Had everything what you need. Warm welcome from the owner. Plenty to see with a short car journey. Highly recommended.

The property is so atmospheric and full of character whilst having good up-to-date facilities.

We booked on the day very late and everything was ready upon our arrival.

Your page stated that there was a four poster bed.

There was not. Also your e mail stated before we went that we needed to take sheets and towels, no we did not. Before we left found and old pair of rolled up dirty socks in the single bedroom. The lighting very poor in living room found it very dark. Dining room smelt very fusty.

Great mix of original features and modern facilities.

Stunning fireplace. Very comfortable beds and having breakfast in the dining room was lovely start to the day . We had a lovely welcome from the owner and nice touch to have a plate of Welsh cakes waiting in the kitchen. Had a lovely holiday here and good base for this part of Wales. Highly recommended. Hands down one of our most favourite holiday destinations, says a lot when it’s our first time in Wales.

The cottage was a home away from home, somewhere we could relax and switch off from everyday problems. Location was perfect and we managed to squeeze so much into just 5 days! Already looking at going back. Our hosts were so welcoming, couldn’t have been kinder

We have stayed at Hendy Cottage for the last 4-5 years in September for our regular trip to fly gliders at the nearby Llanbedr airfield.

Hendy Cottage ticks every box for us. Very comfortable, clean and well equiped. It's a short commute to the airfield and we are always made to feel most welcome. We will be back again in 2023!

Very friendly owners.

The two dogs,Tom & Alfie always gave a friendly welcoming when getting back from a day out. The cottage was all one could wish for with fantastic views an added bonus.

Eirian and Ewan were delightful hosts and very welcoming when we arrived.

Hendy cottage is in a beautiful location with wonderful views over the Irish Sea. The cottage is on a working farm with nice outdoor space to the front but no enclosed garden area. All bedrooms look out over the sea which is great. The cottage is comfortable and has all you need. Thanks for a lovely week.

Henry cottage is a spacious well equipped cottage.

Excellent location for the beaches and a sea view .. our hosts were very accommodating, my husband was concerned about his low profile tyres on the track to the cottage as there were some pot holes, they rectified it immediately filling the holes overnight, Tom and Alfie the farms dogs were really friendly and made friends with our beagle. Really enjoyed our stay would book again . Thank you

This cottage is spacious for 4 people, was clean and quite comfortable.

The owner was very helpful on arrival. The views are gorgeous, especially the sunsets. Our only criticism is that the lounge can be a bit cold and draughty (a ‘sausage’ to put by the lounge door would help). This was a great base for exploring the area.

This is the fifth time I have stayed in Hendy Cottage during our annual gliding trip to Llanbedr Airfield and it ticks all the boxes for us!

The owner was very welcoming and the cottage was excellent, very good for relaxing and peace and quiet, would certainly recommend this holiday.

The cottage was ideally located to explore the area & Snowdonia National Park.

It was clean & comfortable and the host was friendly & helpful. We enjoyed our stay & also the welcome from the dogs every day.

Such a beautiful place.

Arrived on 21st March for a little break with my friend as we work for the nhs and with the current circumstances needed a break. This cottage is perfect for relaxing. We will definitely be back once the uk is back to normal. This is a working farm and the owners dogs are fabulous. Mr and Mrs Williams are very helpful and friendly. I can’t recommend this cottage enough. Five stars.

Hendy Cottage was brilliant, sea view from our bedroom window, comfortable furnishings, best equipped kitchen i have ever seen in a holiday home. The dogs came to visit when we sat outside in the sunshine enjoying the views. We walked to some local waterfalls from the cottage and to the village pub so nice things to do and see without even getting in the car. will book again.

The cottage was cosy and was just what we wanted.

The gas ‘wood burner’ stove and beautiful inglenook fireplace was a real bonus. The surroundings were lovely and quiet and the children enjoyed the freedom of being able to go outside unsupervised and soon made friends with the friendly farm dogs. Mrs Williams, the owner, was friendly and accommodating. The only downside was the access track up to the cottage which was very rough and full of pot holes, otherwise we had a very happy time. Totally stress free and peaceful, always a doggy welcome on returning to the cottage.

All the imperfections of the old cottage made it a perfect place to stay. My only complaint, was that I only booked one week, and not two.

The only slight niggle, some form of signage at roadside would be helpful when you first arrive at the property. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable holiday.
