Another lovely stay at Pensarn Hall.

A wonderful property which accommodated our extended family of 13 well. Each large bedroom has an en-suite bathroom which is great & lots of rooms to spread out in. The whole hall is always clean and there are loads of facilities/utensils and pans etc in the kitchen, especially if you like to cook. We had an issue with one set of heating facilities (due to a fault) but this was worked on and resolved by the owners and as the other system was working we were ok. Some of the beds were a little soft for some of the party but that is probably personal taste! The area is beautiful and we would definitely love to come again.

What a wonderful house for our family gathering - five siblings and their respective spouses.

As a family, we have visited this part of Wales on many occasions and it was a good base to re-visit some familiar haunts. The accommodation was excellent in all respect, with every convenience considered. We just had one comment, perhaps, since the water in the upstairs rooms is not potable, it would be a kind gesture to leave a small bottle or two of water in each room, for bathroom use, pill-taking etc. as not everyone will arrive with bottled water. The games cupboard was extraordinary and it made our decision to bring a jigsaw somewhat redundant! It was a shame we were only here for two nights as a week (or two) in this house would have proved most enjoyable, and we may have then had a chance to take advantage of the snooker table. All in all a most pleasant couple of days.

Pensarn Hall was an amazing place to stay, very comfortable, well equipped and lots of space inside and out for the family to spread out.

They particularly loved the snooker table and the wood burner. A couple of problems were quickly dealt with by the owner after a phone call.

Pensarn Hall is in a wonderful, peaceful location.

The house is huge, with four separate sitting rooms - ideal for our group who ranged in age from 18 to 90. The beautiful kitchen is very well equipped for large groups and the permanently hot aga was great for warmth and cooking - except during the heatwave part way through our 14 day stay! We enjoyed outdoor barbecues in the beautiful garden with fantastic views of the Artro estuary and sunsets. We swam at Llandanwg beach, a 20 minute walk along the estuary, visiting the nearby ancient Saint Tanwg church, and continuing our walk to Harlech, which stands on a hill and whose castle affords panoramic views. A beautiful 30 minute walk in the other direction from Pensarn is Llanbedr with shops and pubs. Pensarn even had its own request stop station, where some of our party alighted or used to visit Criccieth.

We had a great week staying at Pensarn hall .

12 adults and 4 children . The property was very well set up for all ages. The billiard table was areal hit as was the croquet and the library / games room also a real bonus. The beds were all comfortable with good quality linens . The kitchen was extremely well equipped. We didn’t find anything missing for our needs. A superb beach is a 20 min walk from the house or a 10 min run . The water pressure was rather low in the family room and Some handwash in all the bathrooms would be helpful but other than that I can’t think of anything else to improve our stay . Caroline was very helpful and communicative prior to our visits for queries Thankyou for a fantastic week

Wonderful house.

Very well equipped for a large group, clean and extreemly comfortable and spacious. Everything thought of for our stay. The area around is beautiful with large sandy beaches and mountains. Ideal for everyone. Caroline was very helpful in giving us some useful information before we arrived regarding shops,restaurants and places to visit.

Fantastic house in a most beautiful place. Everything works brilliantly. The young children loved the garden and the teenagers loved the snooker table. We have been there twice before and it gets better every time. Hope to stay there again soon. Highly recommended

So well equipped for large numbers.

Very warm in the depths of winter. Great spaces for everyone to enjoy inside and out. This is our 2nd visit for a family of 12 and will return next year. Great communication with owners.

Lovely property - nice and warm inside, pretty bleak outside (a wet November in North Wales) !

Well resourced kitchen, large dining table and plenty of games to amuse us. Ideal for exploring nearby Harlech and Barmouth - good to have a train on the doorstep to avoid driving.

A lovely location, well equipped beautiful home, an ideal place for a family get together with plenty of room for everyone.

Extremely well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Only negatives were water pressure on top floor was low and the decals are worn on the ovens so bit of a guess to work out temperature setting. Overall very good holiday. Thank you.

A beautiful period house in a lovely quiet area within spitting distance of numerous sandy beaches, waterfalls, Harlech Castle etc etc Did not disappoint - super comfy beds and everything we needed for a group short break.

Host was informative, friendly and accommodating - Would highly recommend!

We had a brilliant holiday at Pensarn hall.

Facilities are excellent. Warm comfortable house, great for an early Easter holiday. The younger grandchildren loved the garden and the teens (and adults!) loved the snooker table. If you love the outdoors, walking(high level and low level), the beach etc this is the place for you, but give us a chance to re-book for next year!!

The heating didn't seem to be on a timer.

One just had to press a button to get another hour as required. The kitchen was always cosy close to the Arger. It was a lovely experience staying there and the area close by is fabulous. We didn't need to drive much in the week and the views from the house were great.

The house is amazing.

Spotlessly clean. The position is ideal for exploring all that Snowdonia has to offer. There is plenty of parking space, a lovely big garden for family games and quiet areas too. The kitchen is very well equipped (although the electric cooker needs new control decals) However, the BBQ is only suitable for cooking for 4 people. With 2 sitting rooms and a conservatory there is plenty of room for a large group.

Overall comfortable and warm after heating was adjusted.

4’6 beds small for a house this size. No sharp knives. Not enough hot water on second floor although first floor fine. Garden lovely and view.

We have stayed in many large properties with extended family over the last few years but without question this is the best house we have ever stayed at.

What a fantastic house for a large group.

We had 13 of us and the configuration of the bedrooms was just perfect. The house was so well stocked, comfortable and warm. We used the log-burning stove quite a lot because the weather outside was cold but once the very efficient radiators came on, we didn't need it. Those look-alike Victorian radiators are so good. Thank you, too, for the very generous tray of goodies that welcomed us. We were celebrating my 80th birthday, so to have all the family (children and grandchildren) with me there for a week was wonderful. A huge thank you to the owners.

We took the family of 14 to Pensarn Hall to celebrate a 60th and 88th birthday.

It is a superb property which is ideal for large groups. All of the bedrooms were excellent and had their own bathrooms. Extensive kitchen is very well equipped and the large dining room is fantastic where we had a parties and a lot of fun playing snooker. There are two cosy reception rooms. Great location with easy walk to the beach. Longer walk to nearby pubs but they are decent and serve great food.

Lovely property.

Comfortable, clean and very well stocked with entertainment games, puzzles and videos. The kitchen was well equipped and was huge. It was a joy to stay there. Lovely having Jenny and Reg nearby - when a bulb popped a replacement was soon in. The area was full of things to see and do. If a large property is needed - this is a great one.

Our 7 year old grand daughter said 'Best holiday ever' Location superb with fantastic views from the house - plenty of room for everyone and good outdoor space.

There is a beach within easy walking distance and it is also within easy travelling distance of mountains, castles, railways etc Good to have ensuite facilities in all the rooms. Overall with its size and layout it is a good base for families/friends to meet up and spend time together.

Lovely victorian property in a beautiful location with amazing views of the sunset.

Fantastic house for a large family (4 families).

We went here for a 75th birthday. All age groups thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Kids played mostly in the gardens which are quite extensive. Views over the estuary are stunning and the views around the house are of the Welsh hills!! My only criticism is we cannot get everyone together for a longer vacation....

Pensarn Hall is a beautiful old house, and is extremely well equipped.

What a treat to be able to use Portmeirion pottery every day! The house was an ideal space for grandparents, children and grandchildren to stay and celebrate a Ruby Wedding anniversary. Local walking was great, the harbour to the beach, the back lanes to Llanbedr and the local farm park kept us all occupied. We were blessed with good weather, but this house is ideal whatever the weather. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.

Wonderful location for sandy beaches and castles.

The snooker table in the house was a great success as was Zip World. Highly recommend.

the property was very clean and had all the amenities you wish.

The kids enjoyed the house , grounds, location etc etc exceptional nice land lady and house keeper , low pressure water on the showers and that's because it comes straight from the mountains, hopping to come back next year !!

Absolutely spotless everywhere and an abundance of kitchen equipment and serving dishes for more than the 14 of us that went. Caroline is lovely and a pleasure to talk to on prior to our arrival. Wonderful house set in a great location overlooking the coast roughly mid-way between Harlech and Barmouth.

House was extremely comfortable with plenty of facilities and a great range of rooms to fit all types/sizes of party. Very friendly and helpful owners. Highly recommended.

This house is a one off.

the size was ideal for a large family gathering . Caroline the owner was very helpful a good time was had by all.

Welcome pack on arrival, cleanliness was impeccable.

Only thing missing is comfortable outdoor seating.

This was our second visit and even more enjoyable as the weather was so much better.

Our party comprised thirteen people aged from 8 to ninety_two and everyone was comfortable. We can't wait to come back.

Fabulous house.

Wonderfully kept. We all enjoyed living like lords for a week(even if we did have to do the catering). Weather not good enough to enjoy the outdoor facilities but snooker table was a hit. Very easy to get out and about and the local slate mine and children’s zoo were a good introduction to the area. Their cafe was also a winner. Only thing to mention - no ice cream scoop!! So obvious how great it was. Would return again if opportunity arose. Congratulations to all involved

A well located property convenient for mountains and beach.

It was well equipped, clean and welcoming, perfect for a large group such as ourselves. We have already agreed that we will visit again next year.

Pensarn Hall is spacious, well heated, well equipped and well located for many interesting and scenic locations .

Wi-fi connectivity throughout the house is very good. The owners and local caretaker are all friendly and extremely willing to assist with any issues that may arise.

Pensarn is a perfect setting for large families wishing to explore the beautiful Gwynedd coast.

The accommodation had everything a large group needed and catering for everybody’s needs was easy. The house was grand but in such a way that it was possible to relax and feel at home. We will definitely be back.

Super house can't be faulted

Lovely house in a perfect location, ideally suited to a group of friends holidaying together.

En suite facilities were excellent, as was the kitchen and liv8ng space, and any slight problem dealt with very quickly. We had a wonderful time.

Pensarn Hall was spacious and impressive.

We loved having the seven en-suite bedrooms, the snooker table and the lovely garden. We would love to have known about the history of the Hall and wonder if the owners have thought about leaving some information for guests to read - we are sure others would be fascinated to hear about it. Thank you to Sykes and Caroline of Pensarn Hall for giving us the opportunity to enjoy it.

You were helpful in the end when my previous booking was taken away from us on 3rd December, and had nowhere to take 11 people for Christmas at the very last minute, BUT Pensarn Hall was perfect and fitted us all excellently, and was nice and spacious.

We had 4 children with us, the very large garden was a god send, they could play out without having to keep checking on them.

The view was amazing, and we were blown away with all the kitchen equipment and how many different dishes, glasses and other items, the large table/snooker table came in very handy. We could not have wanted for more.

As a large group of friends who like to meet up at a big cottage every year, Pensarn Hall met all our criteria.

The hall is well-equipped for a large group of adults to sleep, cook and have fun. The location is excellent and, despite some rain, we managed a lovely walk up Rhinog Fawr and a fantastic trip to the beautiful beach at Harlech, complete with a swim in the sea. Caroline was very helpful and thoughtful, providing milk, tea and biscuits that were very welcome. Overall a lovely holiday!

An excellent house with something for all ages.

We were three generations baby to pensioner. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Plenty to do locally ranging from sandy beaches to Snowdonia. Local all weather venues enjoyed by our four under 5's were Harlech swimming pool and Llanfair Play barn. Pensarn station is at the bottom of the drive so unlike many remote properties it is possible to arrive by train. Also it provides an alternative for travel up and down the Welsh coast.

The property was excellent for a large family group of mixed ages as there are a number of living rooms and a large dining room ensuring everyone could eat together comfortably.

The only comments are that there are probably not enough mugs for a full house of people and there are not enough sharp knives, hardly any at all in fact, we were always scrabbling around trying to find the 1 small vegetable knife. All the other facilities were excellent as was the location close to the beach and walking areas.

Great facilities - kitchen had everything you needed and more best equipped kitchen we have had on our holidays now into our 4th of holidaying as a group.

Quality bed linen and very comfortable beds. Bedrooms a great size. 5 minute walk to Pensarn railway station which was a bonus - leaving the car at home and able to get to many places along the coast. Highly recommended
